OOC: So Wolfsrain...do we each battle all of the guards? Or only one and then the lab ones...I just wondered....NAyway here is my post))

Max gasped in horror as the sense in him came back. He had killed his brother. His other brother would be furious, and would most likely try to kill him. Totodile walked up to Max's leg and handed him the Pokeball that had caught Growlithe in it. His eldest brother was so much better then him, he had placed first in the Pokemon League.

Max looked up at Tai as he grabbed Max's collar and roughly pulled him out of the room. He shoved Max out of the door and walked ahead of him, Grecko, and the other kid. He led them in to the debriefing room.

Max silently sighed again as he leaned against the wall right next to the table. Tai shot him another warning glance, but Max ignored it and continued to lean against the wall. Tai coughed to clear his throat, as if telling Max to stop, and then pulled out a map of Pallet Town. Max looked over his shoulder to look at the map.

"As you all know, Master Beo has gone missing, and Zepher has been recovered by an unknown orginization. Although this seems like a setback, I see it as an oppertunity. We've been monitering Proffessor Oak, and since the attack, the amount of guards around Pallet town have decreased, giving us the perfect time to strike. We've been trying to bring Oak down ever since the Clan has appeared, and now we have the perfect time to. I need you three to go to Pallet Town and capture Proffessor Oak." Tai finished.

Tai took out three knives and slid two of them across the table to Grecko and the other kid. He looked at Max and then tossed him a knife. Max slightly missed the handle and sliced his right palm open. He dropped the knife to the ground and it stuck straight in to the wood. Max looked slightly up and saw Tai, smirking a little. Max was really starting to hate this guy.

He held his right hand out and picked the knife up with his left, and stuck it inside his shoe again. Tai took out three Dark balls and tossed each of them one. Tai and Max conected eyes and glared at each other for a few seconds, but what seemed like hours, and then looked away.

Grecko sighed and then him and the other kid left the room. Max followed, but after the two left, Tai roughly grabbed the back of Max's neck and began pressing the pressure points again. Max started squirming. He quickly brought his foot up and took the knife out of his shoe. He held it behind his head in a stupid manor of trying to back head butt the kinfe in to Tai.

Tai countered by grabbing the hilt of the knife and quickly turning it around in to his own hand, and was now holding the knife against the back of Max's head. Max gulped, he wished he had listened to Tai's warnings now. Tai sneered and slammed the back of the hilt against Max's head, causing Max to fall to the floor, unconcious.

"Idiot." Tai said. He took the kinfe and threw it in to the floor about an inch away from Max's head.

Max awoke a few minutes later to find the debriefing room empty. He took the knife out of the floor and examined his hand. It was infected. Max stood up and quickly rushed to his room. He flung the door open and found Grecko nowhere inside. He grabbed a first-aid kit he had in his bag and opened it. He grabbed a few things, sat on his bed, and began cleaning the wound.

Once he was finished, he wrapped the wound in goz and then stood up ready to kidnap Professor Oak.

Oaks Fate?...Exit the Gate.

Grecko and Tai were about to walk through the big gapping hole in the building when Grecko noticed the man he had burnt horribly was being tied up and taken away, while the Glameow was still sitting there. "Hold on Tai, I want that pokemon." Grecko said to the man as he tossed a dark ball at the Glameow.

"Whatever just hurry it up." Tai responded back as he waited for Grecko to catch it. The pokeball clicked back and forth and Grecko knew he caught it. "Alright let's go" Grecko said to Tai as he held the dark ball in his hand. The two walked past Shaun and Max, and Grecko gave Max a reassuring look. Max than ran in front of all of them, and he had a very upset look on his face.

"You! Get a team to patch up that hole and secure the premises." Tai yelled to a brotherhood member as he and the rookies walked to the debriefing room. He quickly opened the door and gathered the three around the table. Grecko took a seat next to Max who still had the blank face, so Grecko decided not to say anything to him.

Grecko than glanced over at the Shaun kid who still had that look as if he was better than everyone else. This caused Grecko not to like him one bit. Tai than looked at the three members and got ready to speak.

Grecko and Shaun got up and began to walk away. Grecko stared back over at Max who looked back at him with the same still face. As Grecko walked behind Shaun he heard Max struggling and decided to go back and see what was going on. Shaun just continued to walk away.

Grecko walked into the room and saw Max laying his head on the table unconcious with a knife beside it. "What did you do!" Grecko barked at Tai. "He needed to be taught a lesson for feeling regret over his actions." Tai said back to Grecko. "That's ridiculous! We may be accepting the darkness but you don't have the right to do this!" Grecko yelled back at him.

"Haha you do have some anger, your father would be proud!" Tai than stated back to Grecko. "What! why would my father be proud of me consuming the darkness! He wanted me to save this place and you guys kidnapped him!" Grecko overexcitingly yelled back at Tai as he punched him in the face.

Tai looked back at the boy who had just punched him in the face and said "Good, keep it up and maybe you'll be an admin soon" Grecko looked at the man and than back at Max.."I'm out" He said as he walked away to get ready for the mission.

"That boy is going to do us some good" Tai said softly as he began laughing.

A few moments Grecko stood at the exit of the dark brotherhood base with his backpack and pokeballs. "Well here goes nothing.." Grecko said as he realized he was about to kill proffesor Oak. "You ready to go" a huge man said to Grecko as he flew over to him on a Salamence. "Ya.." Grecko said as he got on the dragon pokemon.

"Pikachu! Pika Pika Pi!"

Angela groaned as she slowly began to sit up, blinking groggily at Bolt, who was standing on Pidgeot's head, with Grace on her haunches by his side "Huh... Bolt, what's all the fuss about?" the Pikachu in question said nothing but instead gave an awed squeak at the ocean below passing them by so quickly…

Wait…

Ocean!

"Woah! How the hell did we get up here?" Grace and Bolt looked back at Angela, with looks that practically said, you don't remember. Angela blinked thoughtfully as the scenery went by like a blur "I can't for the life of me think how the heck we…" she trailed off and her eyes widened in realization "Now I remember! That guy from the Clan came and picked us up!" she glanced behind her briefly before asking "where is that happy guy anyway" Bolt and Grace shrugged in response, unsure of what happened to the chipper man.

"Geot!"

The Pidgeot began to pick up speed and Angela soon found out why, the Island they were traveling to was beginning to get closer "Geoot" it cawed happily and Angela, Grace and Bolt had to grip the beautiful feather's tightly to keep from falling "Hey!" Angela pulled out her recently captured Smeargle's Luxury Ball and recalled the Painter "Grace return!" the last thing she needed was the poor thing flying off Pidgeot's back, Bolt was gripping the bird's head just as tightly as she "Pidgeot Geot!"

There was some turbulence while Pidgeot made its landing, Angela swore she felt some thing go bump once they had finally landed, tumbling slightly as she hopped off the bird, with Bolt hopped onto her shoulder, she peered over Pidgeot and noticed someone lying under the large bird "Sorry! I guess Pidgeot got excited and didn't really aim!" Angela apologized, crouching down to the boy's level to see if he were okay "You okay?" she asked

"Yeah… no, I'm fine… just shocked was all" he said with a blush and Angela smiled before pulling him up "Good!" she scrutinized him for a moment before snapping her fingers in realization "Hey! I know you! Your one of the other recruits… you the one that yelled at that black haired kid" the boy nodded "Yeah.." he glanced at her flushing a bit while he choked out his statement "And you're the girl with the… Belly button piercing and green hat" Angela couldn't help but laugh and Bolt shifted on her shoulder

"Ahem." Angela glanced at the man, just noticing he was standing there "If you two are done, I'd really like to do my job and bring you to Zypher and Sly" he said rudely and Angela mentally scowled at his snippy tone "impatient sonuva…" her thoughts were caught off by a nonchalant Gage "Yeah sure…"

They followed behind the rude man, with Angela in the middle with Gage taking up the rear. Her thoughts drifted to this new predicament "So I'm not the only one left it would seem.. but we are running short on quite a few members" she thought to herself, remembering how when she had first received Bolt, that the members were flocking the room "How did we wind up with only two faithful members, were their hearts that weak enough to be swayed by the darkness" she shivered at the thought of Beo "That man is the devil's spawn" she spat harshly before glancing back at Gage with a somewhat bored expression, she could feel his eyes on her "what a strange guy" she noted, watching as he blushed and looked away quickly.

Angela noticed that they had eventually arrived at a very large tent that seemed to be in the center of the island. She could hear two voices conversing, one powerful confident voice and another just as confident but soft and raspy. The rude man in the suit opened the tents door and pushed both of them in, rushing away as soon as he could. "Rude" Angela thought Inside the tent there were two people, a somewhat sickly looking Zypher his condition seems to have gotten worse and a woman with blonde hair and a white outfit that Angela didn't know.

"Hello the name is Sly welcome to the Lightning Mercenaries/Clan of Hope" she said. She lead them over to Zypher who was lying in a cot, he looked so much weaker... In a raspy stalling voice he said slowly, "You two survived it is great to know that you have not succumbed to the darkness like the others." He said out of breath. He coughed deeply and slowly drifted off into a deep sleep. "Alright Josh will take you two your tent, you will be rooming together, come back tomorrow for you first mission, it's going to be a tough one, but you've already been through so much I don't see how you couldn't handle this" Sly said smiling, as another soldier comes in and began to lead the duo to their tent.

Angela said nothing as Josh lead them to the tent, she just glanced around the area, taking in the sights and petting Bolt a few times, still feeling Gage's eyes on her, somewhat annoyed at this, she glanced back at him and caught his gaze "Really dude... Come on...." he looked away frustrated "what's he so annoyed about?" she wondered before they had finally made it to the tent "Here's your tent, enjoy" Josh said before walking off, well he started to, but a confused Gage halted him.

"Hey, hey, no,no wait. What the hell is this? We're sharing a tent?"

" Uhh yeah... you are.. we're running low on tents sooo... yeah BYE!" he said before dashing away, Angela blinked as an awkward silence ensued and they both entered the tent, minding their own and unpacking and placing things on their beds and desks wanting to break the silence, Angela spoke up "Hey, what's your name?"

"You can call me Gage" he responded "what should I call you" Angela smiled "The names Angela, but most call me Angel" she replied and he looked contemplative "Hmm.. well I already know an Angel... Would you mind if I called you Angela?" he asked. "Yeah sure..." there was a few more minutes of silence and Angela spoke up again "Hey, are you like... a pervert or something?" she inquired curiously and looked slightly worried when he looked as though he had a heart attack while he chocked out " What!?"

Angela laughed and then responded "Well I mean you've been staring at me like... All day and I don't want to bunk with some kind of pervert or anything." Gage looked embarrassed and his cheeks had turned red again, " I'm sorry for staring, I promise you that I'm not a pervert... I was just fascinated by something and was surprised there was another survivor." she laughed good naturedly " Don't worry, I was just messing... I know your not a perv, if you didn't notice, I was staring at you too, a bit curious, most likely the same reason."

Gage laughed to himself, Wow," he said, "and about the staring thing... I doubt you were fascinated for the same reason I was..."s he laughed again and replied" Whatever... I'm going to sleep, I haven't been in a bed this comfy in forever." Gage smiled and said, "Alrighty good night and sweet dreams." She took a long yawn, falling on the bed, with Bolt making himself comfortably on one side of her Pillow " Same to you pervert…"

"Chuu"

"What?" Gage seemed somewhat shocked. "Nothing, nothing...... Good night!" Angela mumbled looping an arm around Bolt and hugging him comfortably to her chest before turning out the light.

Chapter
The Rouge Badges

POST 1

The next morning you awaken to an alarm sounding throughout the camp. You quickly get dressed and head outside, to find all of the troops lining up, and waiting for SLY. As she approaches she walks up and down the lines and finally stops in one the middle of everyone and speaks.

"Well today is the start of the turning point in this war, today we take back the four gym's that have been corrupted by the darkness." She said as she took a deep breath.

"Controlling the gyms basically gives us a great upper hand, and currently out of the eight gyms, 4 of them are on both sides. Unfortunately I am only sending two people on this mission, to make it less expected, I mean if everyone goes they'll see us coming. So Gage, Angela please come forward, you will be the ones going" She said as the rest of the team looked around in aww because at the moment they were the two weakest trainers.

Sly then motions for you to head towards Zyphers tent, he wants to tell them something. When you get to Zyphers tent you see he is still lying in his bed, but he looks a little bit stronger for some reason.

"I told Sly to choose you two for this because you have seen more of the darkness then any of the others and you won't be corrupted, your first destination is vermilion city, the gym leader Lt. Surge is who you must defeat, once you do that give me a call and will send a team to secure the area, and then you'll receive your next destination." Zypher says with a smile as he lays into his bed.

SLY then has her Fearow fly you onto Route 11, and tells you to head west to arrive at Vermillion city.

POST 2
Route 6

Route 6 is a desolate area with tons of dead plants and trees like anyother route you have been on to this point. Wild pokemon still roam around waiting for weak and defensless people to attack:

Taking out the Gaurds!

"Well here we are kid have fun...err i mean go out and enjoy the evil...umm ya thats it!" the strange big dark brotherhood member said to Grecko as he flew off into the sky away from the place.

"Viridian City huh, looks kinda bleak and depressing just like before...although now I kinda like it." Grecko said evily as he walked over to where the Clan of Hope base used to be. "Who would have thought darkness could have prevailed so easily. O well better head down to Pallet." he said as he kicked a block from the rubble and than headed to Route 1.

"Well well well, what do we have here? Looks like a little dark brotherhood noob! I'll be taking care of you!" a strange man dressed in armor said to Grecko as he walked over to him. "Uhh ya right loser. Come on out Squirtle!" Grecko said laughing at the funny man as he threw out his starter. "Please, let's go Porygon!" the man shouted as he tossed a Porygon out into the battlefield.

"Squritle use water gun!" Grecko shouted to Squirtle. "Hmmph Porygon use Psybeam!" the man barked to his pokemon. "SQUIRT" "FEFEWF" the two pokemon shouted as they shot their attacks at each other. The two attacks collided but the psybeam pushed its way through to Squirtle. "Ahh Squirtle hop into your shell!" Grecko instantly ordered his pokemon. Squirtle luckily made it into the shell before the attack hit it.

"hiding won't help you! Porygon use Agility!" the man barked to his pokemon. "Ahhh!" Grecko yelled as he watched Porygon move around the field in a fast manner. "Now Squirtle use water gun as many times as you have to to hit it!" Grecko commanded Squirtle. "Squirt, Squirt, Squirt!" the water pokemon shouted as it repeatedly shot water at the Porygon. "Porygon use psybeam!" the man than orderd.

"fefeffe!'' the pokemon yelled as it stopped right in front of Squirtle and blasted it with a psybeam. "SQUIIIIIRTTTLEEE!" the water pokemon yelled as it rolled flew backwards and slammed into Greckos legs. "Are you ok buddy?" Grecko asked Squirtle as he picked it up. "SQuirt!" the pokemon said as it continued to battle. "Maybe you should just quit kid!" the man said to Grecko.

"We never quit!" Grecko said as the darkness from earlier began to consume around him again. "What the hell is that!" the man yelled in horror as he watched the shadows consume around Grecko and now Squirtle to. "This is the power of darkness hhahahhahahahhahaha. Now Squirtle give it your strongest water gun!" Grecko ordered Squirtle. "SQUUIIIIRTTTT" the pokemon who was now consumed in shadows said as it shot a huge water gun at Porygon.

"Ahhh Porygon dodge it!" the man yelled out, but it was to late. "FEFEFEFE" the pokemon let out as it fell to the ground. "Now what?" Grecko belched laughing at the man. "GRRR Porygon Recover!" the man shouted to his pokemon. "Fefef!" the pokemon said as it began to recover. "Squirtle don't allow it to recover. Use tackle!" Grecko said commanding Squirtle.

The little pokemon charged in and knocked the Porygon straight into the rubble of the old base. "No Porygon!" the man yelled as he returned his unconcious pokemon to it's ball. "You'll pay for this! Lets go Ditto!" the man yelled as he sent out his ditto.

"Diittt" the pokemon yelled as it came out of its ball. "Hahah i'm gonna capture that Ditto cause i think it would be useful. Squirtle return, Chimchar go!" Grecko yelled out as he sent out his Chimchar. "What you'll never capture my pokemon." the man said in a scared manner. "Ditto use Transform!" the man ordered his pink blob pokemon.

With that Ditto instantly transformed into a Chimchar. "Haahha thats useless! Chimchar use Taunt!" Grecko ordered from his pokemon. "CHIIM" the pokemon said as it began taunting the ditto. "Grrr Ditto use Ember!" the man commanded his ditto. "Haha not gonna happen!" Grecko said to the man as they witnessed Ditto retransform into Chimchar.

"Whattt!" the man said in a scared way. "Haha taunt makes the pokemon use the last move it used over again. Now Chimchar use Scratch on Ditto and the man!" Grecko said as the shadows continued to consume his body. "CHIIIM" the fire pokemon said with shadows around it to. "DIIttt" the pokemon said as it took the scratch attack and fell unconcious.

"What stay away!" the man said as he began to run backwards, he then fell over the rubble and his helmet came flying off. "AHHH no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the man screamed as Chimchar killed him. "Chii" the fire pokemon said as it ran back to Grecko. "Good job buddy!" Grecko said as he reutrned the pokemon to it's ball.

"Now Ditto your mine!" Grecko yelled as he tossed the dark ball at Ditto. The dark ball consumed Ditto and Grecko stood their and waited to see if he would capture it.

"Ugh" Angela groaned out of annoyance and she swore she heard Gage curse annoyance as well, the rustling of sheets told her that he just rolled over and ignored the alarm, yawning she hopped out her bed and stretched, an audible crack coming from her stiffened bones "Hey Gage" she mumbled around a yawn before glancing at the boy who was snoozing comfortably "I don't blame him, he's got the right idea" she thought, wanting to drop back on the bed herself but knew that Sly had wanted them to report to her this morning "Hey Bolt…"

"Chaaa"

The Pikachu looked well rested, stretching his legs and arms, much like a cat would after his nap, before he glanced at Angela "Pika?" she smiled and pointed at Gage with a mischievous "give him a little wake up call, but nothing too strong or harmful, just a little shock okay" she explained and Bolt nodded, hopping on Gage's bed as his cheeks sparked wildly "Piikachuuu!" Angela watched with wide amused eyes as Gage shot up and bounced out his bed, his body twitching slightly from the shock and his hair was sticking up like he had just stuck his hand in a socket "What the heck was that…." He trailed off blinking at Angela, an embarrassed blush creepy on his cheeks "Oh… umm Good Morning Angela" she just laughed at him "Haha I'm sorry Gage, I told Bolt not to overdo it" she glanced at the snickering mouse, who just shrugged and climbed his way back up her shoulder "Apologize Bolt".

"Pikachu Pika"

He rolled his eyes and didn't look all to sorry and Angela sighed before shaking her head "Sorry, he's not normally like that…" she trailed off and glanced out the tent briefly "Crap! They've already started lining up! C'mon Gage!" she exclaimed, grabbing his hand and dragging him to a spot beside her in the line-up "I think we're safe" she mumbled, heaving a relieved sigh as Sly walked pass them to stand infront of the middle of the line, taking a deep breath before speaking.

Sly then motioned them towards Zypher's tent, claiming that he wanted to tell them something. When the duo got to the tent they saw he was still lying in his bed "You think what ever their feeding him is working? He looks a bit healthier" she whispered to Gage, who nodded "Yeah, he does look a bit stronger for some reason"

"Fearrr!"

Angela blinked at the bird before hopping on with Gage following suit "My Fearow flies fast, so you two had better hold on, the last thing I need is for one of you to fall to your death's on my bird" she muttered "Zyper would have a fit"

"Right, Gage, you'd better hold onto me tight then" gently but firmly, Angela grabbed hold of the bird's neck and Gage hesitantly wrapped his arms securely around her waist "Uhh r-right, ready when you are Angela" he mumbled, happy that she wasn't able to see his blush "You comfortable Bolt?" she asked the mouse, who sat on her shoulder "Pikachu!" he saluted and nodded at Angela "Alright then Fearow, we're ready for take off!" Fearow gave a caw in response, before stretching its wings and taking to the skies, zooming towards Route 11.

OOC: Uh Tim...read the bottom of the chapter again...you can't snag the lab assistants Pokemon because they have been exposed to the light...

Max was standing right outside the exit of the Dark Brotherhood base. He waited patiently for Tai, leaning against the wall. Suddenly, the front door flew open and Tai walked out holding a Pokeball. He looked at Max who glanced up with an unappreciated attitude. Tai smirked evilly and then threw the Pokeball in to the air.

In a blinding white flash a Staraptor bigger then normal appeared. Tai jumped up on to its back and the Staraptor flapped its wings, and began to hover. "You coming?" Tai asked him.

"On what? Him holding me in his claws?" Max asked. Although he wished he hadn't. Tai chuckled to himself as Staraptor flew toward Max and wrapped his claws around Max's stomach. Max struggled, but instantly stopped as they flew up higher then the building.

The flight was pure torture. Max kept feeling like he was going to be sick, and Tai knew it. Tai was apparently having amusement watching Max in pure torture. "You know I have a Flygon right?" Tai asked him. Max looked up at Tai, furious.

"Then why did you choose this stupid Staraptor knowing I was going to be held in his claws? I could have been on the back of a Flygon!?" Max yelled. Staraptor crowed and let go of one of his claws, scaring Max half to death. Tai patted the Staraptor's head, and the bird wrapped its other claw around Max again.

"Because you needed to be taught something about respect and not feeling bad about your actions." Tai pointed out.

"But I killed my brother! After telling him and my other brothers that I wouldn't let the darkness consume me...I'm so stupid!" Max slammed his fists against one of the Staraptor's claws, but the bird didn't feel a thing apparently.

Tai sighed. "Listen. I grew up with 5 brothers and 0 sisters...I killed each and every one of them. I know how you feel." Tai said.

"No you don't...just leave me alone." Max sulked. He felt horrible...he wished he would just die.

A few minutes later and Staraptor landed on Max, almost crushing him. Tai stood next to the being crushed Max, chuckling. It was almost 10 minutes before Tai finally returned the huge Staraptor. Max took in a huge gasp of air and then rolled on to his back.

"Get going." Tai said. Then he called out his Salamence and flew away.

"Jerk!" Max called after him. Salamence flew around and then shot out a beam from Hyper Beam at Max. Max barely dodged it, and landed on his knees. Max was starting to really hate Tai.

Max stood up and began traveling down Route 1. Somehow, he remembered every corner he and taken from Pallet to Viridian. It was so cool. Pokemon whirled by and jumped out of bushes, but Max just ignored them. It didn't take him long before he finally reached Pallet Town.

A few meters before Max reached Pallet and a big man wearing a cop's suit leapt out of the bushes. "Leave Dark Brotherhood...member, Max!" the guy yelled. Max squinted his eyes and barely recognized the man. It was someone who had been walking around Professor Oak's lab the day he received Ghastly.

"Go, Growlithe!" Max said.

"Go, Zigzagoon!" the man yelled.

In a blinding white flash a brown and tan raccoon popped out. He had slightly orange-brown fur though...

"Growlithe let's go! Use Bite!" Max said.

"Dodge and use Headbutt!" The man countered.

Growlithe bared his fangs as they grew about 2 centimeters longer and sharper. He then dashed towards Zigzagoon; it was like seeking a streak of orange and black fly right past you.

The Zigzagoon moved out of the way, right as Growlithe passed him, but Growlithe turned around and sank his teeth into the Zigzagoon's back. The Zigzagoon howled and tried to shake Growlithe off. Finally, Growlithe let go of Zigzagoon and landed on the ground softly.

The Zigzagoon then dashed off towards Growlithe. As it came closer, Zigzagoon bent his head down and slammed it in to Growlithe, knocking Growlithe to the ground.

"Get up and use Ember." Max commanded.

"Tackle!" the man shouted. Max figured he was trying to yell as loudly as possible so somebody would come and help him arrest Max.

Growlithe leapt to his feet, and shot out a flurry of hot black embers. They soared through the air and then caught on fire and each one except for three slammed in to Zigzagoon.

Zigzagoon fell to the ground, hard, but got right back up to his feet. He dashed at Growlithe, and Growlithe prepared himself to withstand the attack. But, instead of withstanding the attack, Growlithe jumped over the Zigzagoon and sent him crashing in to a tree.

Growlithe softly landed on the ground right underneath him and shot out two more embers at Zigzagoon. Both hit and the raccoon turned around angrily. It started pawing at the earth beneath it, trying to taunt Growlithe, but to no avail.

"Now use Bite." Max said.

"Use Sand Attack and then Headbutt!" The man screamed.

Growlithe bared his fangs again, but they were still the same as the last time he used the attack. He bent lower to the ground and then pushed himself off the ground, sending him flying in to the Zigzagoon.

Before Growlithe hit him Zigzagoon shot up a flurry of sand in to the air, and got it into Growlithe eyes. Growlithe sunk his teeth in to the Zigzagoon's back of the neck, but couldn't see and was thrown off quickly.

Zigzagoon darted for Growlithe and slammed his head in to the Growlithe's stomach, pushing him between his head and a tree. Growlithe yelped in pain and then kicked the raccoon off. He stood on his four paws, but picked one of them off and began trying to rub the sand out. Max saw that this was an advantage for the other team and took out Totodile's Pokeball.

"Growlithe come back. Go, Totodile!" Max threw the Pokeball in to the air and out popped his little blue alligator. Growlithe slowly stumbled his way over to Max, and Max started trying to rub the dirt out, but had to leave Growlithe to do it.

"Zigzagoon use Headbutt!" the man shouted.

"Totodile use Water Gun." Max replied calmly.

The Zigzagoon darted towards Totodile, in a orange-brown and tan flurry of color. Totodile watched carefully and at the last minute jumped over the Zigzagoon. He spun around in midair and shot out a beam of water.

The Zigzagoon quickly maneuvered and ran around the beam and then jumped, shooting straight for Totodile. Totodile quickly shot another beam of water and smacked the Zigzagoon, head on. The Zigzagoon began to fall and slammed straight in to the hard ground.

Max looked down at Growlithe, who had gotten the dirt out and was now sitting obediently at his master's side, wiating to go out and battle again. Totodile softly landed and looked at the Zigzagoon. He smiled triumphantly as Max noticed that the Zigzagoon was knocked out. Max smiled and called Totodile back and sent Growlithe out.

"Return Zigzagoon! Go, Trapinch!" the man shouted.

In a blinding white flash a small little tan bug with a huge head popped out. Max took out his Pokedex and scanned it, wondering what it was.

Species: Trapinch, the ant pit Pokemon.
Entry: It makes a conical pit in desert sand and lies in wait at the bottom for prey to come tumbling down.

Max closed his Pokedex and slipped it into his pocket again, figuring this Pokemon was a ground type...maybe even a rock type. If Growlithe couldn't win it, Totodile could easily win it.

"Growlithe use Ember!" Max quickly reacted.

"Trapinch use Dig!" the man said.

Growlithe leapt in to the air and quickly shot a fury of black, searing hot embers. They soared through the air and caught on fire. Trapinch stod there motionless for a few seconds and then dug a huge hole in the ground, completely dodging the attack.

Growlithe landed on the ground, blinking a few times, wondering how the Trapinch could dig so fast.

"Bite!" both trainers yelled at the same time.

Growlithe bared his fangs, and krept lower to the ground, waiting for the Trapinch to reveal itself. While, underground Trapinch's fangs grew sharper and sharper and about a centimeter longer, and was right underneath Growlithe.

He jumped and sunk his teeth in to Growlithe's stomach. Growlithe yelped in pain at the sudden attack. He shook himself free of the Trapinch and in all the confusion, sunk his own teeth in to Trapinch. Trapinch freaked out and dug underneath ground, with Growlithe still attatched.

"Know use Ember!" Max shouted.

Growlithe opened his eyes and quickly let go of Trapinch. Trapinch stopped digging and looked behind at the tunnel he had made to find a fury of black, searing hot embers soaring right towards him. They caught on fire and slammed in to him.

"Now use Bite!" both trainer said at the same time...again.

Growlithe leapt at the Trapinch, fangs bared and Trapinch ducked underneath, his teeth also bared. He then sunk his teeth in to Growlithe's back, and the strain was just to much for him, Growlithe was knocked out.

Trapinch smirked evily and decided to carry Growlithe above ground. He threw Growlithe out of his hole towards, Max, and Max quickly caught him. Trapinch then hopped out of the ground.

Totodile waddled out on to the field, not needing his trainer to tell him to and quickly got ready for the battle.

"Totodile sue Water Gun!" Max shouted furiously. He was so ticked that his Growlithe had been made the laughin stock of a stupid Trapinch.

"Bite!" the man yelled.

Totodile shot out a beam of water towards the Trapinch, and then jumped in to the air. The Trapinch had bared its fangs and was now running towards where Totodile had previously been. He tried to stop running towards the oncoming water, but couldn't.

The water slammed in to him and was super effective. trapinch rolled back a few feet and then stopped, right underneath Totodile. Totodile pointed himself down towards Trapinch and started spinning. He then shot another beam of water towards Trapinch, but it would be more effective since it was being controlled by gravity more and it was spinning.

Trapinch was hit and flew a few feet away and in to a tree, he hadn't even seen the water coming. Totodile shot a small beam of water underneath him to soften his fall, and lightly landed.

Trapinch struggled to his feet, but did. He then quickly dug a hole underneath the ground and hid.

"Oh no you don't! Totodile flush him out of the hole using Water GUn and once he is above ground use Scratch!" MAx shouted.

Totodile nodded and stood right over the newly formed hole. He then shot out a powerful gush of water, and it went crashing through and around the hole like a river. The Trapinch had no choice and jumped out of the hole, a few feet away.

Totodile raced towards the Trapinch, and slammed his claws in to the ant. Trapinch yelped in pain and flew in to another tree, and slowly slid down the base. Max smirked seeing as how the Trapinch was having a hard time, just trying to stand. He figured this ant might be useful to him, so he took off the Dark Ball that Tai had given him.

He pressed the middle button and mad eit bigger, and then tossed it at the Trapinch. It hit and in a blinding white flash, the Trapinch was engulfed inside the ball and it began to rock back and forth. Max walked over to Totodile and picked him up, keeping his eyes locked on to the Dark Ball, waiting to see if he had caught it or not.

The loud alarm clock clammered through Gages brain forcing him into minor conciousness but he simply did the same thing he would if he were home and cursed throwing his blanket over his head and rolling over. Behind him he could hear Angela say some completely indistinguishable words to her pikachu. All of a sudden he could feel his whole body pulse with pain and shot up from the bed. "What the heck was that..." Gage said trailing off as his eyes caught on Angela, " Oh... Umm. Good morning Angela" he managed to choke out still blushing.

She began to laugh, "Haha I'm sorry Gage, I told Bolt not to overdo it" She attempted to control her laughing while glancing at her pikachu who, much like her, was snickering quite a bit. "Apologize Bolt" Angela said trying to be slightly serious.

"Pikachu Pika"

The pokemon gave a completely unappoligetic appology and rolled its eyes crawling up its masters shoulders. The smile on her face went away as she stared at the embarrased Gage saying, "Sorry, he's not normally like that…" Gage nodded and Angela took a quick peek out the tents entrance. "Crap! They've already started lining up! C'mon Gage!" She whipped around grabbing Gages hand and rushing him out as there hands touched his heart skipped a quick beat and he almost forgot to grab his coat and hat on the way out. They both lined up next top the other recruits awaiting instruction from Sly. "I think we're safe" Angela whispered near Gages ear, he could feel her warm breath on his neck and felt his hair stand up straight.

Sly approached the line of recruits and after pausing a quick look at the two recruits she began speaking."Well today is the start of the turning point in this war, today we take back the four gym's that have been corrupted by the darkness."

"Controlling the gyms basically gives us a great upper hand, and currently out of the eight gyms, 4 of them are on both sides. Unfortunately I am only sending two people on this mission, to make it less expected, I mean if everyone goes they'll see us coming. So Gage, Angela please come forward, you will be the ones going" Both Gage and Angela stared blankly at the woman with shock in their faces as all the other members stared at them. "I hate being the center of attention" Angela mumbled into Gages ear once again causing him to get goosebumps, her pikachu nodded obviously disliking the attention also.Gage had to say something in response or she would think he was an idiot or something, "Yeah, it's a bit unnerving" he muttered. All the other grunts continued to stare at them in disbelief but the deepest stare at all was from Angelas pikachu, Gage thought to himself, " Damn, he must really hate me." And the pikachu snickered again letting its cheeks spark up for a quick second.

Sly took them aside and directed them towards Zyphers tent . When they arrived they saw he was still lying in his bed. Whatever was wrong with him he seemed to be recovering... Albeit slowly."You think what ever their feeding him is working? He looks a bit healthier" Gage heard Angela mutter silently, Gage nodded "Yeah, he does look a bit stronger for some reason" he said as they approached the bed.

"I told Sly to choose you two for this because you have seen more of the darkness then any of the others and you won't be corrupted, your first destination is vermilion city, the gym leader Lt. Surge is who you must defeat, once you do that give me a call and will send a team to secure the area, and then you'll receive your next destination." Zypher smiled as he completed thye statement. Gage couldn't help but think of home and the ex-soldier. He was always nice to me.... Gage thought, I can't believe he was an agent for the Brotherhood. Gage and Angela nodded in unison and left the tent. They walked into a meadow where Sly was waiting for them with her Fearow out "My Fearow here will drop you off at Route 11" she said pointing to the bird, which gave a caw "Upon landing, I want to head west and you will arrive at Vermilion, I wish the both of you luck, be safe and be careful"

"Fearrr!"

Gage intended to ride the bird in front but Angela was too quick on the draw. Sadly he was going to have to ride ***** seat...."My Fearow flies fast, so you two had better hold on, the last thing I need is for one of you to fall to your death's on my bird" she muttered "Zyper would have a fit"

When he heard this all the color completely drained from Gages face. "Right, Gage, you'd better hold onto me tight then" she said smiling obviously not aware how awkward this must be for him. He reached out and as carefully as possible wrapped his arms around Angelas waist as appropriately as possible. "Uhh r-right, ready when you are Angela" he said trying to remain as absolutely calm as possible. At least now she wont be able to see how burning red my face is, he thought to himself. "You comfortable Bolt?" she asked the mouse, who sat on her shoulder "Pikachu!" he saluted and nodded at Angela "Alright then Fearow, we're ready for take off!" Angela shouted allowed to the bird that they were both riding. As the bird began taking off Gage thought to himself, seriously... What's wrong with me? How could I be so distracted by one girl.....

@Tim: Good post! (Now that I see it lol) And smart move using taunt like that! but one thing, the lab guards (The ones guarding professor Oak) were supposed to be... well, guarding the lab, And are uneffected by the Dark Ball (look at the note at the bottom.) But I suppose that the remaining outside guard (Guard 2) could be inside the lab (coincidence) and you can battle him instead :).

Unfortunately, the Dark ball burst open and the Ditto quickly escaped...

However.

Hostility

Gage was really starting to become ill and it wasn't even because of the incredible speeds that the Fearow was flying. It was because of how remarkably close he was to Angela. He could feel her muscles tense or relax at every dip and dive the bird pokemon took nearing its destination. Gage tried to focus himself on the task at hand but he couldn't stop his mind from wandering to Angela. Angela turned and faced Gage and smiled saying, " Hey... could you ease up a bit? You're squeezing a bit tight...". Gage immidiatly released almost all pressure he had with his arms around Angela trying the best he could to not cause her any discomfort, "I'm Sorry!" Gage said as appoligetically as possible. "Don't worry about it." She said with a smile.

As the bird landed Gage could feel his arms, thanks to the amount of slack he made, moving around in front of him and once the bird came to a complete stop Gages hands were in the worst possible place they could be. Gage was mortified and his heart stopped beating, he froze not knowing what to do or say. Gage quickly moved his hands back down as soon as he realized what had happened. Angelas head was facing down and Gage could see her ears were completely red. Bolt slowly turned towards Gage eyeing him with a wrath that rivalled Beos.

Angela turned her head around as well and her whole face was a blood red color, her eyes were squinted slightly and she said very seriously, " I thought you said you weren't a pervert..." Gages heart was up in his throat and he shuffled quickly off the fearow falling backwards on his butt. Angela had to grab Bolt in order to prevent him from jumping down and tearing Gage face off. " I'M SO SORRY! Please believe me that, that was completely unintentional, I would never disrespect you like that!" Gage said frantically as sorry as he possibly could. "I'm so sure...." She said still holding Bolt as tightly as she could. "Never... Ever let it happen again..." her eyes flashed with rage.

Gage jumped to his feet and began saying, " Oh thank you so much.... I swear it wont happen again." Bolt finally wiggled out of Angelas arms and let lose a hellstorm of thundershocks. Gage fell back on his butt, feeling his body loaded with electric charges.

To everyones misfortune though, Gage wasn't the only creature hit by the electric pokemons attacks. Behind Gage two rat-like pokemon, one larger than the other began making loud angry noises and snarling at the two trainers. The larger of the two jumped at Gage and bit his bandaged arm going deep into the still tender flesh. Gage cried out in pain and began trying tio get his hands on the small rat pokemon trying to get it off of him.

The other Rattata jumped aiming to take Bolt out. All of a sudden from the sky came a loud whoosh sound and the smaller Rattata was plucked from the sky by a starving Hoothoot. The bird pokemon began to fly away and as it flew off Angela chased it saying, "I really need a flying type, sorry!" And she dissapeared far from Gages veiw.

The rat pokemon released Gage and tried to run after the bird pokemon for revenge, but Gage wouldn't let that happen, he had a score of his own to settle with the rat pokemon. Gage grabbed the pokeball around his neck and tossed it at the ground in front of the rat. The stone snake burst from the ball creating a blockade and preventing the Rattata from getting away. The Rattata snarled in frustration and jumped at Brick biting down heavily on a segmant of the rock pokemon.

Gage began laughing at the pokemons feeble attempts are injuring Brick whatsoever but was stopped in surprize when the pokemon broke off a large chunk of one of the boulders that made Brick up... He was determined to get by. " Brick, don't let him get away with that! Use your bind attack!" The giant stone snake picked up the small rat with the tip of itstail and began to squeeze relentlessly. The Rattata cried out and began frantically biting down on Bricks tail. " Quickly! before he bites through your rock again smash it off the ground!" Brick lifted its tail up and slammed it down on the ground releasing the pokemons limp body against the dirt. Gage was sure that the Rattata would be down for the count...... But he was wrong.

The Rattata began pulling itself up from the ground twitching as it brought its weakened body to a full stand, it rushed at Brick biting down hard. " Brick use your harden!" Bricks whole body shimmered a white color and he became stiff. The Rattatas teeth slowly started cracking and they shattered on the Onix's rock hard hide. The rat fell to the ground defeated... It had used up the last bits of its energy attempting to damage Brick.

Gage tossed a pokeball at the pokemon and realized that this was his first attempt at actually capturing a pokemon. As the ball wobbled back anf roth Gage turned around to see that Angela was right behind him holding a pokeball and as a nice change of pace this time she was the one who flushed and looked away.

( Sorry this sucks........ I umm..... kind of rushed it... and I feel kind of sick right now...)

Max smiled as the Dark Ball clicked shut. He quickly picked it up and returned Totodile, hearing footsteps rush towards them. He rushed in to Pallet Town and then hid under a huge bush, just as five guards came running past him.

Max as quietly as possible stepped out of the bush and started casually walking towards the Professor's lab. He stood in front of the secret hideout and started to reminence about the last time he had been here. Max shook his head and grabbed the knob, turned it, and quietly opened it.

Max stepped inside and quietly shut the door after him, and began proceeding down a long staircase. Once he reached the bottom, Max heard footsteps echoing down a hallway. Max pushed himself against the staircase wall, just as Professor Oak himself came walking past him.

Once he passed him Max walked out and started silently following the professor. The professor stopped and looked over his shoulder to see Max right behind him. Professor Oak's eyes widened, he must've heard Max had joined the Dark Brotherhood.

"Hello, Max. Are you liking the Dark Brotherhood?" Oak said turning around to face Max.

"It's none of your business, Oak." Max said. He brought his foot up and tok out the knife he had been hiding in there. Oak looked at calmly.

Suddenly, a guard jumped out form nowhere and stood in front of Professor Oak. Max hadn't noticed it, but Oak was backed up in to a corner. "I've got him, Professor!" the guard said grabbing a Pokeball. He threw the ball in to the air and in a blinding white flash a small purple blob appeared.

Max grabbed Totodile's Pokeball and tossed it in to the air, and then took out his Pokedex to scan the strange Pokemon.

Species: Citto, the transform Pokemon.
Entry: It has the ability to reconstitute its entire cellular structure to transform into whatever it sees. Whenever this Pokemon changes its form, it also learns that Pokemon's moveset.

Max slipped his Pokedex in to his pocket and took position. Totdile lowered his head a bit, but was ready either way. Totodile was breathing heavily, from the earlier battle and Mx wasn't sure if he would last long against a long lasting battle, but they had to risk it. Max clenched Ghastly's Pokeball in his hand, just in case.

"Totodile use Water Gun!" Max started the battle off.

"Ditto use Transform!" the guard replied.

Totodile leapt in to the air and shot out a beam of water at the ditto. Ditto's body began morphing and twisted in all directions. Then he turned blue, and turned in to Totodile. The water splashed in to him, but it wasn't as effective now since he was a water type.

"Water Gun!" Max shouted.

"Scratch!" the guard said.

Totodile leapt in to the air, and shot out three beams of water, all locked on to Ditto/Totodile. Ditto's claws sharpened and he quickly dodged one beam of water. Then, the next one hit him in to the air and the last one missed since it hit the ground.

Totodile's claws sharpened up and he quickly leapt in to the air and began barraging the Ditto with a flurry of claws. Ditto knocked TOtodile away, and Totodile softly landed on the ground. Ditto landed on the ground softly, but in the same spot where the beam of water had hit. Ditto slipped, and slammed in to the ground.

"Use Scratch quickly!" Max shouted.

Totodile quickly sharpened his claws and began slamming them in to him. Ditto yelped in pain and quickly slammed Totodile away from it with his tail. Totodile shot in to the air, and did a back flip then landed on the ground. Totodile fell to his knee and Max quickly threw out Ghastly's Pokeball and called Totodile to his side for a rest.

In a blinding white flash the purple ball of gas appeared.

"USe Hypnosis!" Max shouted anxiously.

"Use Transform!" the guard shouted.

Ghastly quickly shot out four rings of purple neon energy as the Ditto began morphing. One hit him just as he was about to turn in to Ghastly, and it then turned back in to Totodile. Ghastly then stuck out his long tongue and lashed at Ditto with it.

The tongue hit Ditto, and sent the sleeping figure crashing in to the wall. Max looked slightly past the guard and saw that Professor Oak was swetting with a nervous look on his face. max smirked slightly and watched as Ghastly shot the Ditto in to a wall.

"Now use Lick, again." Max said more calmly.

"Wake up Ditto!" the guard shouted.

Ghastly lashed out with his enomous long tongue and slammed it in to Ditto. Ditto was pushed in to the wall even more, and as the tongue kept hitting Ditto, eventually the wall broke through and Ditto was sent flying out.

Ghastly retreated back over to Max and waited to see if the Ditto would come back in. The dust settled and Max could barely see that the Ditto was knocked out unconcious. Max smirked and tried rubbing Ghastly, but his hand just went straight through.

Max smiled at Ghastly and then rubbed Totodile's head. He was getting a little more used to Pokemon...but mostly just his Pokemon. He tried thinking of them as animals. Growlithe as a dog, Totodiel as an alligator, Trapinch as an ant, and Ghastly as a...well Ghastly as a ghost, but him and Ghastly were starting to get attachted to each other easier.

The lab assistant returned Ditto, and Max told Totodile to get out there and give Ghastly a little rest. Totodile nodded without question and walked out there as the assistant threw another Pokeball in to the air. In a blinding white flash a read Pokemon with a little blue tail that looked like something that was supposed to be in three-d on a computer popped out. Max took out his Pokedex and scanned it.

Species: Porygon 2, the virtual Pokemon.
Entry: With planetary development software installed, it became capable of working in space.

"Ok...Totodile use Wate Gun!" Max shouted.

"Proygon2 use Psybeam!" the lab assistant yelled.

Totodile jumped in to the air, and shot out four beams of water. He was so tired, but hoped he could get this over with quickly. The Porygon2 quickly moved and dodged the first two with ease. Then, the third one slammed in to it and sent it flying back a few feet.

Totodile's fourth beam missed and the Porygon2 aimed for Totodile as he came spiraling down. Then, as soon as Totodile landed Porygon2 shot out a ray of purple beam at Totodile. Totodile was hit and was ashot straight backwards towards Max. Max quickly caught him and grimaced as he saw that Totodile was knocked out. He rubbed Totodile and decided to craddle him in his arms and motioned with his head for Ghastly to go out.

"Ghastly use Hypnosis!" Max said.

"Use Psybeam!" the lab assistant said.

Ghastly shot out four neon purple rings at Porygon, and then two more to each side. Porygon two tried to dodge one from the middle, but was instantly hit with one form the left, knocking him asleep.

Ghastly then lashed Porygon2 through a window with his tongue. The Porygon shot through the window and flew a long ways away. The lab assistant jumped through the window to find his Pokemon, so Max quickly returned his and dashed off, after seeing that Professor Oak wasn't in his usual spot.

He ran by an open door, briefly scanning by Professor Oak calmly sipping his coffee with Grecko and the other kid standing in front of him and began running foreward. Then, he stoped and looked back, then quietly entered the room, slamming the door shut behind him and propping a chair under the door to make sure nobody would disturbe their little upcoming conversation.

Prof Oaks daily cup of Coffee gets serious!!!

"POOF!" the dark ball shattered open and the Ditto hurridely scattered away. "What the hell, I thought these god dang dark balls were supposed to catch anything!" Grecko yelled at the top of his lungs.

"Whatever I guess I should just go down to Professor Oak's secret lab" Grecko said as he entered Pallet Town. "Now where the heck is that god dang trap door!" Grecko said as he walked around aimlessly looking for the trap door.

"Nidoran!" a wild Nidoran said as it jumped up and slammed into Grecko. "What the!" Grecko said as he got up and saw the little pokemon. "Aww whats wrong are you afraid of the darkness?" Grecko than said making fun of the pokemon. "Niiiidooo" the pokemon said as it charged forward again.

"Really? Come on out Gulpin!" Grecko said as he tossed out his Gulpin. "Use pound!" Grecko ordered his pokemon. "GULL" the pokemon yelled as it charged and slammed into the running Nidoran.

"NIiiiiiD" the pokemon yelled as it slammed into a tree. "YAAAA WHAT NOW!!!!!!" Grecko said in an irritated way as the Nidoran walked away. "Gulpin return!" Grecko said as he returned the pokemon.

After searching for the trap door Grecko finaly found it. "Ah Ha here it is!" Grecko said as he began to open the door. "GRECKO WAIT UP!!!!" a familiar voice yelled from far the entrance to Pallet Town. It was Max and Grecko was finally glad to see he was up and not unconcious on the floor.

"So your finaly awak huh?" Grecko asked Max as he stood up and dropped the trap door. "Ha ya I guess ya saw me unconcious huh?" Max asked "Ya just a tad bit, but I guess we best head down here and get Prof. Oak before more annoying guards come.

"Ya those guards are ridiculously annoying" Max said laughing as both boys entered the trap door. They finally arrived and Shaun was there waiting for them. "About time!" Shaun barked at the two boys. They both just looked at him and than began walking into Prof. Oaks quarters.

The boys stood in front of the chair where Prof. Oak had his head down reading a paper from Hoenn while drinking coffee. He took a sip than looked up "Well good day boys! What can i do for ya?" The boys just stared at the old man...
