[Released] Pokemon Pathways (1/19/25: Alpha 9.1.3)

Heya. I haven't played in quite a few updates so I decided to roll a whole new character to experience everything again since I was always a big fan of this game.
Though, when checking the guides to freshen up on my knowledge of the systems, I saw that there's two 'routes' for each mentor? I'm not really sure what either one means since uh, they didn't go into specifics.
Is the one in blue just the 'good' version and the red the 'bad' version? Does this actually change cutscenes or anything at the moment?

Yeah the Blue is the good route and red is bad route

Hey, I don't believe that i am the only one experiencing this but apparently the "Monocle Gaiden" quest is bugged and when you run over to get it and the Pinsir puts you in a pseudo-freeze state and never activate the battle, this effectively soft-locked me several times and I hope it can be patched later on but it was after i caught a shiny and forgot to save so take this as a word of caution to newer players when doing the quest.

Anyone got a version of the game that still has debug mode, I want to see if I can transfer my new save back so I can add pokemon.

Finally after nearly 2 month I managed beat dynamix adventure...dynamix advanture is no joke it more like luck base when I have time been doing reload save non stop till I see the dynamix that won't counter my line.
Only strategy I had is long advanture and pure brute force using healing item in battle is suicide I had to go full on out attack only option.
I felt complete thank you very much developers for giving me nightmare past 2 month I can't beat that dynamix advanture,I finally found my peace beat dynamix 2 time on long journey since short one no time to prepare I keep losing on short some Reason....
The short advanture need to be fix little bit be more balanced, only option I had was long advanture giving me enough time moving around attacking dynamix that weak against me.

Bro, the insanity room is just crazy 💀 I managed to beat red by using Focus Sash strat. Anyone have beaten that hell room yet?

I did mostly strategy I use was trick room and bunch of very slow and hard hitting Mon oh don't forget that focus shash though that item very crucial to trigger magic room because your first will always faint first to start the trick room.
I tried use Mon with focus shash endeavour and quick attack yeah it work, but sometimes they don't one hit me or I move first than my opponent making endeavour move not working and hard to use endeavour move to make my opponents 1 HP and finish off with quick attack.
Since we'll they don't one shot me to 1HP.
Trick room and slow hard hitting was my only way.
For me dynamix adventure are the hardest,I finally able to beat it after 2 months of nightmare I can't sleep well because of it.....

Is there still a debug mode? or Debug code? if so how do i get it?
No, there isn't any Debug mode for the game. It encourages you to build different teams to deal with the challenges. Use many Megas, Z-moves and Dynamax mons to your advantage.

I have beaten 1 of the Hardest contents of the game (I'm crazy) and built 6 teams thus far. My favorite right now is the Sun boosted Dragon/Fire team with lots of coverage.

So I'm at B-Rank and just found out Grace got Expelled. does anyone know where Gavin is so that i can ask him about her? or is there something else i need to do?

Hello, I wanted to try the game on Joiplay but everytime I start it it gives me this error just after the "Pokemon Essentials" credits: Script 'UI_SplashesAndTitleScreen' line 121: NoMethodError occurred. undefined method 'exists?' for File:Class.
Both Joiplay and RPG Maker Plugin are up to date. I have tried to install it both from rar archive and decompressed folder, both in internal storage and sd, but nothing worked. Any idea?

UPDATE: Just went to JoiPlay patreon and saw there was an update yesterday. Downloaded it and now is running fine.

Hello! Is it possible to play it on android? I downloaded it and it was a RAR, I can't find a RAR specific emulator and it won't open on any emulator, though I'm not particularly tech savvy so maybe I'm doing it wrong, can I ask for a working discord link so I can ask more stuff about the game?

Played for about 8-10 hours so far, (although I admit about 2 hours of that was on voltorb flip) and completed about 4-5 weeks worth of classes. I really enjoyed the game and the idea behind it, Plus I really love how easy it is to use fossil pokemon really early. Can't wait for future updates. Some simple things I'd like to see in future updates would be
  • Better Game Corner Balancing - For most players I'd doubt it wouldn't be that difficult to get between 5,000 - 15,000 coins in around an hour worth of gameplay, so making ability patches only 1500 is in my opinion quite cheap as you can just farm sell them 20,000 a pop and very quickly have a lot of money quite simply.
  • More quests/stuff to do - I feel like this is quite obvious and with game in still in Alpha development, however currently I feel like it can become quite monotonous it just repearting the same routine for a week until you can pass out of a class. (Though i'm unsure if thats just due to the mentor I started it with and I admitidly haven't got that far into their story yet).
  • Aura - This kind of ties in with point above but I feel that there isn't enough things to do that can affect your aura especially when at the start of the game it is emphasised and you get given the Aura crystral that affects shiny and shadow pokemon depending on your Aura. Especially since I was given a shiny by my mentor (Don't know if that is the same every time as I played fully blind as recommended) and don't know how big of a buff that pokemon gets in comparision to other items I could have it hold.
On the whole really enjoying it so far and I am looking forward to further updates.

Good luck on Felix and that damn riolu, you'll need it.(This would be so goofy if you already beat Felix.) Just know some are easy, (Red, Rexzo, Arcturus,) and some are actual hell.

I've recently had problems with my save file. After transferring my save and changing location in the game(I walked out of the library), I got the message "Hey. Shinu here" on loop. How do I fix this? btw, I followed all instructions found on Master guide.

bruh, it's my second day and I hit someone with final gambit, reset my entire run there, lmao, where's my dark aura option here

Love the game. I'm exited to see the s-rank story finished. pathways is so far my favourite fan game i have played so far.

Dumb question, but after the second ghost story event, is it possible as a male character to actually invite Hyun for a sleepover if your affinity is high enough? While I thought the idea was cute, he rejected it lmao. I'm just curious if I was better friends with him would he have accepted
