Pokemon Pikachu/Pocket Pikachu

Pocket Pikachu was a digital Tamagochi like toy that existed back in the 90s. Did you know, though, it could connect through infared with the gen II main series games? There was also a second one that was made.

Did any of you have the Pocket Pikachu as a kid? I never did...

I had one! I had the original and the colour version when that came out too...god knows what happened to it, though. I think I lost the original one, or it got stolen at school, but I am pretty sure the colour is still around somewhere...maybe up in the attic? This thing is why I was so excited for the Pokeball Plus that came bundled with HGSS though - it took me riiiight back to my childhood, where I'd spend hours playing with this thing when I wasn't playing on my Gameboy.

EDIT: So I asked my parents what happened to the Colour one, because I was pretty sure it was never thrown out or sold.

WOULD YOU BELIEVE MY FATHER HAD IT AND IT STILL WORKS?

We put a new battery in it and it's happily beeping away at me. The buttons are ridiculously stiff and difficult to press, but there are no words to describe how happy I am that I still have this. I stopped using it because Pokemon went out of fashion and I would have been bullied something awful at Secondary School if I had it on me, and I just kinda forgot about it until I saw this topic. xD

...these things sell for disgusting amounts of money on eBay, too. Buying a replacement to satisfy nostalgia would have been a bit much.

We weren't even born yet when gen II came out, but the Pocket Pikachu has been in our merchandise wishlist for a few years now along with the Eevee tamagotchi. We do have the Pokewalker though and actually carry it around with us, but it's currently not working and we haven't been able to get our hands on the batteries.
