I'm sorry if I failed to see any threads about this. I went back a ways, and I didn't see anything.

I'm generally not a forum person, but I'm actively looking for information that wikipedia isn't offering. I'm a new member (of course) and I've been and still am quite an avid fan of pokemon ^_^

Wikipedia isn't always a good source, however I have to bring this to your attention.

"Poképark was a Japanese theme park based on the Pokémon franchise. It featured 12 Pokémon themed attractions, and was open between March 18, 2005 and September 25, 2005. A new PokéPark in Taiwan was open from June 23, 2006 to September 24, 2006. It was announced that it could come to the USA, possibly at Long Beach, California, and some places in Europe, such as Berlin, Germany."

Now, I live in Riverside. Long Beach is quite a drive, but it's NOT a plan flight. For any pokemon fans in California (and I KNOW there's plenty of you; I dealed and traded the cars like drugs and still have 2/3 of my collection) you're probably going to be just as intrigued as I am. For anyone whose old enough to drive and go, I'd say go for it! When opened in Japan they gave away Nintendo DS with pokemon world 2005 engraved into it. Of course, I remember this a a blue tank and I only managed to see one in real life; an import for four hundred dollars and only compatable for japanese games.

But I found this forum and come to you all asking--what do you think? Would you go? Does this interest you?? And do you live close enough? Why or why wouldn't you? Let me know I'd love to hear your feedback! Better Long Beach than New York!! Which is where I'd figured it'd be...then again...Anime Expo's gonna be there too! Wonder if they'll collide...

I think it would be really cool if they opened a pokepark in the USA, and yes I probably will go if they open it since my uncle lives there, so it is not gonna be a problem. Even though I live in Qatar (thats in the middle east) I would go if it is gonna be in the holiday since I visit the United States alot.

It'd better be in Florida if they make one at all. I'm angling for Winter Park, Melbourne, or Lakeland.

    Flordia?

Actually, I could see it hitting Atlanta, GA not so much Florida. If hit GA, hell I'd fly out there. So if it hit Flordia, I'd probably fly for it too :P My best friend lives in GA

Poo, my cousins actually got to go to that Taipei one. They live there, after all. They even gave me souvenirs when I came on November. By then though, it was too late to go. :'(

Anyways, I'm hoping for one in Canada. They only made one I could actually access, and that was in Seattle. :/
Although California is fine, as long as they don't make it so far away that I'll never have a hope to get there. Like Los Angelos. Or perhaps anywhere that doesn't involve me going on an airplane. :P

I can always use the cousin excuse :D

California is like sooo far away... I like went to California for vacation and it was like a very long flight. X_X

*wishes there was one on the east coast*

If the PokePark comes to the US at all, all I can say is: Move over, Mickey, there's a new mouse in town...

I would like to see one on the East coast of the United States.

If they do make another one, I hope its not in Florida, they have everything, Disney World(as if I wanted to go), Universal Studios Orlando Florida. I get so mad because those things never get destroyed by Hurricanes. So, I hope they built anywhere besides Florida and New York.

Man, even if there is one it would be really really far away from Kansas...
    Which is where I live...

Then again, I could save up with job money, and just take a trip to go it!
    I'd totally do it too!

It'd be AWESOME if one came to the USA though...Even if I didn't get to go!! xD
...At least it would prove Pokemon's popularity.

I can tell you all where you will never see one. In the Southern Hemisphere >.<

Yeah, I can see that as being a downside to it is climate. Which is why I figure California is where it's gonna hit. But if it hits Long Beach that IS SO Cal...there's South in the word <:3

I know some will be able to, some won't but the concept is astounding. Either way, I'd fly to it! Especially with a new job I've got in the future at 10 bucks an hour :P 200 a week! Bwahaha!

I bet there would be a Pokemon park if there weren't jerks who think Pokemon is lame! But I can't force those people to like what I like and it's there opinion, not mine. But I do wish they'd at least stop making fun of us PokeGeeks. (Like myself)
