[Media] Pokemon quotes, but after 13 layers of Google Translate

I work as a Jp -> En translator, so I thought I might dip into the dark side of translation and do a dramatic reading of some of my favorite Pokemon quotes, but after running them through a bit of Google Translate.

The sequence of languages I used was: English to Japanese to Arabic to Chinese to Romanian to Macedonian to German to Persian to Greek to Spanish to Azerbaijani to Chinese and finally back to English.



I used default trainer names in each case.

I also found at least one typo...see if you can find it, too!

(Also, if anyone knows how to embed a Youtube video without getting an error, please let me know >.>)

A lot of those ended up being closer to the original than I thought they'd be, but there were still some good ones in there too lol (I'm not sure which is my favorite, Blaine's lines or Kukui becoming "Master Jesus")

To embed a Youtube video on this site, you just need the part that comes after the = in the URL. So for this video that should be [youtube]6xE1xdA8pYw[/youtube]

Yeah, I was also shocked at how faithful many of the translations were. Some of it is still quite funky, but you can at least see what Prof. Google was trying to do. I'm still stumped as to how Lysandre's name got stuck in Persian, though. No matter how many times I tried to advance it through the other languages, it just refused to translate =/
