[SIZE="a"]Personally, I hope pokemon ranger will come to iOS :D This is because

    1) Better display: iOS overall has a better screen display than the DS.
    2) Cheaper: App store games are overall way more cheaper than the console games.
    3) Better touch screen: iOS' multitouch would perform wonders on pokemon ranger.
    4) Better gameplay: Having the ability to play the games on one screen will only boost the gaming experience: a virtual joypad performs wonders, believe me.
    5) Apple TV support: We get to stream the games to any tv with an aTV.

Pokemon have shown no indication on making a step off the Nintendo consoles (even the Dream World which is online requires having the BW games). There is also a very low chance of Nintendo allowing one of their best selling franchises hopping off their products like that, nor any reason for Apple to be someone they would allow Pokemon to be developed on. That and Ranger (a possibly dead series now, but that's another matter) are made by a company who developed for the DS, not an app for an Apple product. Completely different development issues and so forth, I would think.

So I think 'no, it's not going to happen', simply. (What TV support has to do with Ranger or Pokemon either is beyond me as well, sorry...).

That's a awfully hasty conclusion to come to considering Nintendo authorised The Pokémon Company to develop a rhythm-based Pokémon game for the iOS and Android. If that performs particularly well and Nintendo sheds their stigma over mobile devices I could see them considering developing another title in one of their spin-off series for phones.

I wouldn't be so quick to say that it couldn't happen due to iOS being a non-Nintendo console. Early on in Pokemon's history, there were a few games for the Sega Pico. Sega wasn't just another company; Sega was Nintendo's biggest rival (again, this was early in Pokemon's history, before Sony and Microsoft were big in the game market), and there were Pokemon games on its console. Years later, once Sony and Microsoft did enter the market, there were more Pokemon games on the Sega Pico Beena (a different console).

Aside from Sega, there are also Pokemon games on the PC, as well as online.

I wouldn't cross your fingers for a Pokemon game on the Xbox 360 anytime soon, but iOS wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
