    Hey everybody, Myrrhman here!

I am the organizer for the relay race. Although some people are skeptical of this event, I promise you it will be quite easy to pull off. Here is how it will work. Pre-event, everyone participating (that means people doing the challenge, and people assisting me in running the event) will need to download a program called TeamViewer. Here is a link: https://www.teamviewer.com/index.aspx. Next, everyone who is participating will need to get in a team of three, and in an order. So summon your friends up, because you'll need them. Next, each team will need to have a copy of Either Red or Blue, one of Gold or Silver, and one of Ruby or Sapphire. Note: every member of the team will need the same game. It won't work if two people have Ruby, but the last one has Sappire!!! Everyone in your team needs to exchange e-mails. Not too much to ask.

Day one: Now then, at a designated time (listed below), "player one" of the team will share username and password with one of the organizers of this event on TeamViewer. Their screen will be published for the organizer to see. When the time comes, player one will begin Pokemon Red (or Blue). He will play until he gets the third badge. At this point, player one will save the game, find the save file, and send it in an e-mail to player two. When the time comes, player two will begin. He will play until 6 badges are obtained. Like player one, he will send the save file to player three. Player three will finish the game when the appropriate time comes. At this time, their game time will be listed next to their name. Congratulations, you are done with day one!

Day two: Day two will be the exact same as Day one, only Gold and Silver will replace Red and Blue. Note: this day is over once the elite four is beaten.

Day three: Day three is short, because on this day, the Kanto portion of Gold and Silver will be played. Instead of the Elite Four, the day is done when Red is beaten.

Day four: The final day has the challengers playing Ruby and Sapphire. Once everyone has finished, the times for every day will be combined and a final time will be posted. Whoever has the lowest time wins the race!

Final note: There is nothing in here saying you can't use the speed button on your emulator. However, game time will be used, and not actual time, and since the game time speeds up when you use the speed button, it is highly discouraged.

Here is what the final package will look like:
    _______________________________________________________________________
Introduction: Stuff from the first paragraph.

How to play: Basically everything that I just got done saying.

    Teams:
    Team one, watched by Myrrhman: 1. ___________ 2. ___________ 3. ____________: Final Time:
    Team two, watched by Sydian: 1. ___________ 2. ___________ 3. ____________: Final Time:
    Team three, watched by Fire Wolf: 1. ___________ 2. ___________ 3. ____________: Final Time:

I'd need just as many organizers as teams, and I don't expect that many teams to be doing it. So yeah, there you go.

So, we basically needed three organizers for this one? Mmm. And how does TeamViewer work? What exactly is it supposed to do? If it lets me monitor how my team is playing, then that's weird. I can't be online all day to watch. None of us can, really.

Actually, Team Viewer enables you to remote-control one's PC. I tried it, but it's reaaaly buggy and annoying.
I used it when I needed some guy to install Anti-Virus from his PC to my laptop.
But still, you guys are saying that you're using Team Viewer just to watch each other ? I don't think it'll work ...

You maaaay wanna use a different program for streaming...

Even though I'm sure none of the organizers would dream of controlling a participant's computer for the heck of it, I know I'd be pretty uncomfortable with the idea. It's definitely breaching a bit on privacy. Unless there's a way in which you can use Team Viewer without the remote assistance...?

I'm just sayin' this 'cause I happened to really like the idea of this event, but I know some people would be uncomfortable with it.

Fair enough. My original idea was to use Skype (I know it has streaming capabilities).

And don't think that you have to be on all the time. Just the threat of "you never know, an organizer could be watching" is there to prevent cheating.

Gonna have to agree with my honeybunch here. Suddenly this idea just seems hard to pull off. I don't know anything about Skype's streaming ability.

What about using something like HyperCam to register movies, post it all on YouTube, then link it on PC ?

It'd be (waaaaay) better like this ! (:

Wait to record your gameplay, right? I used Hypercam MANY times for many different things, and I suggest Hypercam. But it may be lag-ish if your computer is slow, but you could speed it up on Windows Movie Maker. =P

    Yes, exactly. :P
Plus, it's a free program if you use the Unregistered version, which has a single downside : it has a weird white rectangle in the upper left corner saying : "Unregistered Hyper Cam".

WMM might be a solution too, but Windows 7 users don't get it. :(

Thanks Fire, that would be much appreciated. And yeah, its looking like HyperCam now. Next question. Youtube limits you to 15 minutes at a time. Does anyone know anywhere better? Somewhere you can upload as much as you want?

They changed it to 15 ? I thought it was 11..

Well, you could always split it into two or three ! ^^ HyCam has a little window which shows how much you've filmed and you can select the square you want to film.

Probably, I'll keep an eye on this. (:

On the note of emblems, I'll make the ones for this event. Any suggestions? And do we want separate emblems for winners and participants, or just give them all the same emblem? Personally, I think that it'd be easier to just give participant emblems, since each day is pretty much a different competition. Or are we running all times for each day together?

The final times will be combined together. I was thinking something like the first team to sign up will be blue team (and have a blue emblem), the second will be green team, and the third will be red team. The emblem can be something similar to the AIM man, because he looks like he's running. Except he would be different colors depending on what team you are. Then, whichever team wins gets a new emblem that has a crown on it or something. Or is that too many emblems?

Sounds really simple, and I can probably make those in GIMP some time tonight. Also, I hate to put this on you, but will you make the thread that will be the one to actually appear? I've been way too busy with band and I don't have the time to do so. Just make sure you remember to PM it to me so I can approve it and send it to Jake.

But yeah, when I get home tonight (or tomorrow night, since I get home so late), I will work on making those emblems.

Also, an idea on those emblems. I'll make them with the AIM man, each one of those colors and also an alternate of each with a crown on the first place winner, a 2nd and 3rd palce version for each one. I think that would be nice. It calls for a lot of alts, but it shouldn't be difficult. How does that sound?

And I think that we should assign teams and not have them in order of sign ups. Because people can purposely sign up behind someone they know will be amazing at this relay, so this way they can end up with a random person. And with three teams and three phases for the games, this limits the sign ups to 9 people...which kinda...meh. :/ That's not really a lot.

Edit: Forget about it now. It's past time to send me the thread for approval.
