OOC: Couldn't help it, lol. Plus I figured I'd shy away from rares for a while after this.
IC: "I thought you had it there for a second, but you lack skill in reading pokemon." Said a voice from behind Trent. It was a boy who looked roughly Trent's age. He stood at about 6'0 and had short shaggy green hair. He wore black dress pants with a white button down shirt that had a black tie hanging loosely from his neck. Behind him was stag looking pokemon that had flowers growing from its antlers. "I'm guessing you must have just started training if you threw an apricorn ball that early on a rare pokemon like that. Can't blame you I was once that naïve myself. Maybe you should try weakening it some more, that is if you're Tyanamo can hold up against another attack." The white eel was on the ground struggling to get up, the pink chubby pokemon standing above it now enraged. Trent sent a frustrated glance toward the boy and began to rummage through his bag for an oran berry. "Better hurry up looks like that Audino is going to finish off your pokemon." Said the green hiared boy slyly. Berries in hand Trent rushed off toward the battling pokemon. Once he was close enough he fell into a slide grabbing his pokemon before the pound attack could hit it.
"Here eat these" Trent said as he put the berry into the pokemon's mouth. "Tya Tya!" cried the pokemon relieved as it hovered out again ready for battle. "We have an audience this time Zero, we have to put on a show." The white eel nodded in agreement and waited for orders. "Alright start charging your electricity but don't let it out until I tell you. So until then hit it with tackles." The small pokemon took off at the Audino hitting it in its stomach once again. The normal type took a step back before countering the blow with another pound attack. Tyanamo wince sparks slowly starting to fly from its body. "Don't let up tackle it again!" barked the black haired trainer. His pokemon charged at the normal type a fierce look on its face. The Audino let out a vicious growl startling Tyanamo just enough to weaken the force of its attack. "Audino!" bellowed the pokemon as it jumped into the air to prep another pound attack. "Quick get out of there!" yelled Trent as his pokemon just narrowly avoided a serious hit.
"You know you're going to have to be pretty creative to get past this pokemon. When it comes to defenses you're pretty outmatched." Commented the boy now getting into the battle that was unfolding. Trent shot another glare his way and got back to the task at hand. From what he could gather Tyanamo had gathered a good amount of electricity, but it wasn't enough to do what he wanted. On top of that if his pokemon were to take another hit there would really be no way for him to win. At least not without using more berries. "Alright I just need a little more time." Trent said under his breath. "Alright Zero I need you to provoke it and make it attack you. Whenever it uses a pound attack it always puts its hands together and lifts them over its head in preparation. When you see it doing that, avoid the attack by moving to the side or behind it. "Tya" cried the pokemon as it went in to face its opponent once more. The Audino was still pretty angry as it continually used pound attack after pound attack. Zero had managed to dodge the first several attacks but was hit by the last knocking it back to Trent's feet.
"Well it looks like this fight is over. Here I thought that you showed some promise." The Green haired boy and his pokemon both turned around and started to town. "Hey!" yelled Trent after the boy. It's not over, you weren't watching carefully enough." Tyanamo was still standing sparks shooting off in every direction from its body. "I have one last thing. Zero tap into a small amount of that power for a thunder wave." The eel pokemon then sent out a yellow wave of electric energy much smaller than the one before. The target now somewhat fatigued from its onslaught of attacks took the hit and stood motionless once again. "Okay zero I'm going to trust you not to hurt me too badly here." Trent then attempted to pick up the pokemon, jolt of electricity running through his arms, causing his movements to look rather mechanical. "Here we go!" Trent then tossed the eel pokemon above the normal type. "Now use charge beam, full power!" Once Zero was directly above Audino it let out a fantastic beam of electricity out of its mouth hitting its opponent squared on the head. The pressure of the beam propelled the eel several more feet into the air. "Alright dive into a tackle." The small pokemon wearing a determined faced plummeted toward the Audino hitting it on the head again causing both pokemon to hit the ground. "Have to do this quickly." Trent quickly threw another apricorn ball at the Audino and hurried to find another oran berry in his bag for Zero.
