Favourite scenes?
I've only red the R/B/G and Yellow archs so..

Red: "Izzat a Pikachu?" "Ain't Micky Mouse!" I like that.
Blue: Uh...Well...The fact that she keeps thinking whatever will come from the badge amplifier is a really kyut Pogeyman.
Green: I dunno...
Yellow: "What's Evolution?" Epic win.

Which makes me wonder... for the people who read a lot of manga: is the Pokespe manga really good compared to others? Or isn't there much difference / is it less good?

I don't like the Micky Mouse quote, tbh. The first volumes are too commercial, too much reverences to the real world ("What do you think this is, a gameboy or something?") etc.

What I notice:

• They cleary don't have shoe taste. I don't know if to blame the artist or the manga style in general, but WTF with Crystal's shoes?! She has a nice skirt and shirt. But those shoes... ruin it all. Don't think I'm exagerating, I'm just a shoe addict. Nothing makes me more happy than new shoes XD And I don't like Yellow's boots. Purple -.-;
• That brings me to another point: purple. What is it with this colour? Purlple boots? Purple sweater? Purple pants? Seriously Green, I love you, and I love purple, but that is just a little too much. I'm glad you only see his face with the heavinly stern look on it at the cover, and not the rest.
• And I don't really like Ruby's and Sapphire's new clothes.
• I do like Silver here. He looks cool. <3
• And Blue is ace and sexy as ever. Just look at her. And at Green. How perfect match?!
• Emerald sticking his tongue out is kinda sweet. -double double shot-

Off-topic: Almost elections O.O I wonder if I'll stay up to follow everything. Stupid timezones But if McCain wins... another four years Republicain.. I don't know if I'll survive that -.-; I think it's better for the world to get a Democrat.

Oh yeah. I have to remember "Pika" is referring to the Pikachu XD I still wanna be called "Pika", though, until I change my name to "Ruby Gale" (hey, my friend suggested "GaleRuby", but "Ruby Gale" has a better ring to it; it sounds like a ruby-colored gale~).

Ima quoting a quote! On your thing about Ruby making Sapphy's clothes from his own Pikataro...I figured after they had became buddy-buddy after the RS arc, he wouldn't DARE make Sapphy's clothes from his own...He is a fashionista, after all. XD She needs something more special than that! I think when he probably had the resorces himself, he would make the clothes from scratch, not just alter his own. He could still follow the same pattern though, because I feel Ruby would also be someone who likes matching. XD I can't really explain it...it's just that's how I'd imagine it would go. XD

And, Snoaz...I didn't even notice their shoes until you mention it. XD I think they look fine to me, but of course, I could care less what my shoes look like. XD The official art PWNS Boulevard~! <3 Gold probably doesn't have a picture because he hasn't starred on a cover of the manga recently. :3

Hm.... Red would feel like the choice if you want the president to be caring and true. I mean, he's still so naive in a way so he probably wouldn't lie to get away with... things. wars in middle-east

Green's the smart one. I can't see him lying and manipulating either. Maybe he'd not be as popular with the masses for being cheerful and nice... can't see him smile and hug kids just to seem nice xD

It's not as serious as other mangas. Especially the first three sagas are drawn in a kinda... childish way... the characters look like little dolls, and it's not just to make a sarcastic point, like other mangas may do. It's just the style of drawing. Though I often like it. Lance is cute in it :3

The story's aren't the best either... sorry. The third arc is interesting, with the deep plot and scary evil things. The bad gym leaders and elite four in the first sagas are of course a really nice contrast to the ugly all-good anime and even to the games. But they're not as mean as the bad guys in other mangas.... Dead rotting zombies and Arbok is cut in half, whooooa... but there's still not NE-HE-ARLY as much blood as there can be in other mangas xD The story in the fourth chapter isn't bad though. It's not AT ALL bad. But the fifth and sixth chapter are almost all about fighting... and they're doing it veeery true to the games... and it's boring. mean where's the blud nao?

It all depends on what mangas you're comparing to though. Something like Naruto? Pokéspe lose in manga-coolness. Something like DNAngel? Pokéspe actually lose in the deepstorycategory. At least I think so. Something like any little romantic manga out there?... well, the shippings keep me satisfied~ xD Guess it's up to everybody to decide for themselves, and compare for themselves. If they like pokespe, they do. I do :3

I read a lot of manga... But methinks PokeSpe has grown with the time.^^
Other manga goes over 40-50 volumes without a change of story, drawings and mature of the characters... Somehow PokeSpe is different to other manga. that's what I like on it. :3
When it first comes out here in Germany (2001) We had only Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball and PokeSpe. So it was the best you could get then. xD

Hmm...Let me think...Compared to the Pokemon anime, the manga PWNS (no offense to the anime lovers; I watch the anime too, but PokeSpe is much more indepth than the anime). But compared to other manga...I agree with Fable, it depends on the manga. RGB was kinda childish I agree, but I still like it. It was light hearted and fun~! And it still had its cool points (OMG, Pokemon ZOMBIES?). Then Yellow came in, and Lance was trying to KILL people (death in Pokemon? WTF?), so that was a LOT more mature than the anime....GSC had its cool points (and its pervy Gold), then came the PWNSOME RS arc which was one of the most mature arcs I've read....But, you know, I'm just rambling. I think the PokeSpe manga is just as good as a lot of the other manga I've read (and trust me, I've read A LOT of manga). I mean, sure it's not as mature or deep as some of the other manga I read, but that doesn't make it completely childish and unimportain. I mean, PokeSpe did have a lot of cool and dramatic moments! I think it's a good manga worth the read, and could hold its salt against other manga. :3 I can't really think of any manga I like MORE than PokeSpe, and I can think of a ton of manga I like a lot less. :3

Compared to the anime:
Kanto and Orange Islands vs. R/G/B/Y - Psh, although I LOVED the Orange Islands (they screwed up Tracey's voice in the newer episodes --'), the manga part owns

Johto vs. G/S/C - I must say, I liked this part of the anime better than the manga

Hoenn/Kanto (Battle Frontier) vs. R/S/LG/FR/E - Do I even HAVE to say? They only showed Brendan in the beginning of some movies, as well as him in Lucas in the beginning of the most recent one. Plus, May sucked this entire segment.

Sinnoh vs. D/P/Pl.: I have no opinion, though I do like the Sinnoh part of the anime minus the bad voice dubs, especially since May pwns in this part

Compared to the video games, there are minor differences (I don't think you could steal the Johto gym badges without battling, nor could you start automatically with a Poliwhirl unless you use cheats XD), but I kinda like the video games more, since you get choices and all. Then again, by doing doujinshi, you can make choices, too, I suppose.

And compared to other fantasy/action manga: It's a lot better than most of it *cough cough NARUTO*, but it can't beat high school comedy like Ouran High School Host Club of Kodomo no Jikan XD But they're two completely different genres, so...
