Rated 10+ for ONE swear word XD

"Nothing like a great day, eh?"
"Yeah, the sun's really bright, the sky's a vibrant blue... It's
perfect."
"So... What do you want to do now?"
"Let's go get some ice cream! That OK with you?"
"Sure. It's all on me!"
"Thanks, Silver."

That was the last I ever saw of him. It was all a big blur after my seventeenth birthday. My brother-like friend, Silver, asked to take me out on something like a date. I accepted, keeping in mind that I already had a boyfriend. His name was Green. He was a bit boring sometimes, but let me tell you, was he a GREAT kisser! Silver, on the other hand, is a bit intimidating at first, but one you get to know him, he's really a big, shy sweetie. He's a great friend, but to me, an even greater brother.
The day after my birthday, Silver vanished. I received a call from Red, Green's long-time rival, as I was going to Green's house. The conversation went like this:
"Blue?"
"Oh, hi Red! What's up?"
"It's about Silver. He..."
"He has a girlfriend? Oh my god, it isn't Crystal, is it? IS IT???"
"N-no! Nothing like that. You see, Blue... Silver vanished."
"Excuse me?"
"He's gone. No trace of him whatsoever."
"OK, what?"
"He's missing! Spirited away! Whatever you want to call it!"
"You're...joking, right?"
"I wish I were..."
"..."
"Blue?"
"..."
"Blue? You there? Blue?"

At that point I had hung up on Red. Red was rarely serious, but this time I could tell he was telling the truth. Silver was GONE, and nothing that could lead me to him could be found. I wanted to mourn over his disappearance, but reminded myself that he could still be alive. It was then that I took action, though what I did was a huge risk at first. I...called Gold. He's perverted, immature, and jealous of Green because Green is, after all, my boyfriend. However, Gold was also a friend of Silver's, so it was best to ask him first.
My conversation with Gold turned out to be completely pointless and aggravating. The first thing he said to me was, "Are you single now???" and then, whenever I tried to bring up Silver's disappearance, he'd change the subject. Some friend. Thankfully, being a sneak has its advantages, so with that in mind, I used my stealthy, spy-like skills to go on a quest for finding Silver.
I started searching the Viridian Forest. Yellow, a good friend of mine, lived there, so I thought she could help me. She has always had a huge crush on Red, but could never get up the courage to tell Red. Red, on the other hand, was too oblivious to notice she liked him.
As I approached Yellow's abode, which happened to be a small tent, I noticed the tent's flap was open.
Strange, Yellow NEVER leaves it open, even when she's inside. I peered into the tent to see if Yellow was there. Nothing. I wanted to think that a wild Pokemon or lost trainer had used it, but there was no chance of that. Now Yellow was gone, and I felt more lost than before.

Months passed, and no sign of Yellow or Silver. Green did his best to comfort me, and Red began to
miss Yellow. This was probably the first time he actually began thinking of her, though it was too late now. Between the kisses Green implanted on my cheeks and the fast and furious pacing Red did, I thought about giving up. I'd just accept that my two best friends were gone, no questions asked. It made me very sad thinking about doing something like this, but a loss is a loss, I told myself.

The next couple months were spent in agony. I tried not to think about Yellow or Silver, but no matter what they always seemed to reappear in my thoughts. They made up most of my life, and to not be able to even speak to them... It hurt me a lot.

The last few months before my eighteenth birthday were the worst. I began arguing with Green over petty little things, and two weeks after the arguing started, we broke up. I had begun searching for Yellow and Silver again after the break up, but with no success. I even tried calling the names they gave their Pokemon (which was a bit hard with Silver's; he didn't nickname any of them), but nothing came up. To top it off, Red seemed to forget about Yellow and went back to battling, Gold and Crystal were apparently an item as of recently, and Green seemed to find a new girlfriend, someone I had fought a long time ago, someone named "Sabrina". I was searching for my friends alone, without any support from my friends. Even my parents, whom I hadn't seen in forever, were busy working and had barely any time to spend with me. It was miserable.
When my eighteenth birthday finally came around, I was ready to kill myself. I didn't care how I'd die, just so long as it happened. I couldn't stand life anymore, especially without a boyfriend to comfort me, or good friends to speak with. It just so happened that my parents were conveniently out working (and on my birthday, too!), Red was off battling, and Gold and Crystal were probably dating. And Green... I didn't give a damn as to what he was doing. Today was perfect for committing suicide. However, just as I got a knife up to my neck, the doorbell rang. I rushed over to the door, knife still in hand, and opened it. The mailman. With a solitary letter. Which was addressed to me. As I took the letter from my knifeless hand, I noticed his Ponyta whinnying, probably impatient. I closed the door and sat down in a nearby chair. Strangely enough, the letter had no return address. Still, I chose to open the envelope with care, and inside... a song... no... A
hymn... Written and composed in blue ink.
I read the hymn outloud many times before I finally realized I was sobbing. The tune was rather haunting and sad, and reminded me about how I missed Silver and Yellow. It took me a couple more times reading it that I realized there was a small note scrawled on the bottom. It went like this:
"Hey, Blue, sorry to have been gone for so long. Father wanted to take me to the Orre region in a pathetic attempt to take over it. My Murkrow was able to reach Yellow, and it bore a message stating that I wished to rebel against my father. Despite being a bit of a pacifist, Yellow apparently rushed over to Orre (with the help of Dody) to help me out. I really miss you, and so does Yellow, but we should be returning soon. Try and stay out of trouble until then. Oh, and happy birthday, Blue."

And at the VERY very bottom was a signature. It read, "Love, Silver".
