I will admit, he is a cool character, he has a good design (and if I dared said he wasn't cool I would be killed). Why everyone loves Silver:

I personally love him because he's a very interesting character, with an intriguing past. His character is deep and devoloped very well. So, in my opinon, he's on of the best characters in the manga.
I think everyone can agree on that.

But then the fangirl thing... well, I think being sad and all alone makes people want to hug him, and cheer him up XD

I like the anime still (and that Wallace episode was pure win). I do still like the manga better, but I still watch the anime. And I agree, the plot has gotten better (even if the voice acting has gotten worse). But, no matter how good the plot and other things are, I hate Dawn. :\ I don't know why, I just do. Everything about her...bothers me. Misty was the best. And May was pretty cool. But Dawn...can fall down a well. XD I do like how she failuz as a Coordinator, though. >D I don't know if that's born out of spite, or just because it adds a little variety...most likely spite. XD
