Based off the new designs and old designs, which would you rather characters where in the HG/SS arc, assuming we get one?

I've actually gotten used to Silver's new clothes, so I wouldn't mind seeing him in it, but Gold...ick. I really hope they don't revamp my manga Gold. That would traumatise me. And what if they kill Crystal?! I don't wanna see Soul in there. At all.

Guys!! Giovanni is back!!!! He's BAAAAAAAAAAACCCKKK!!! *panting* He's apparently part of some event to get celebi (WTH!?) after kicking his a**, but dang everyone's in this game. We have all four champions for mew's sake! (If you count green that is). OMG Lance, Steven, Cynthia, Giovanni, i-it's too much.
Now speaking about Red's team I can't believe he got a lapras, what happened to espeon? He would have better type coverage with it but supposedly it hails at the top of mt. silver so I guess he needed a hail immune pokemon :/.

I'm going to answer this very quick by saying that I'm fairly happy with the new designs for almost all the characters. I really have no major problem with any of the sprites except Sabrina for cutting her hair, and Misty for overall outfit.

Oh I'm just asking but is it just me or does Chuck look almost identical to Akuma?

Seesh. My sister and I are probably the ones who like his new clothing, apparently. I think it's a nice change, and it's just the sprite. Doesn't mean that his hair isn't going to look exactly like that in the Manga. It'll probably look close to what it's looked like in the past. Nothing to worry about. :/

I do have to kind of agree with Splatty about Gold's clothing. I don't know if those can really fit a fifteen/sixteen-year old Gold. But if the artist can pull it off, then that's fine~ Anything is fine as long as the artist can pull it off, really? Including Sabrina and Green.

Pryce was only in a wheelchair in the Manga. Not in the games.

Honestly? I think some of you are being a tad picky, but that's just me. xD;

Anyway... to the topic!

I kinda like the sprites. I don't mind Sabrina and the VS. poses are awesome. Pryce's outfit scared me for a sec there and then I liked it. Green's jacket isn't too bad really. Most of the sprites just surprised me that's all. I like 'em a lot.

Woot! Giovanni's coming back! Yes! Maybe Celebi will heal Gio's body somehow. Maybe that'll be Silver's plot point: He might be journeying to convince Celebi to help his dad. My question: how is Red gonna catch a Lapras game-wise? There's gonna be some epic chapter about it or something. Too many champions. Honestly I'm waiting for Wallace and all the versions of the Elite Four now.

I actually think that some of you are just criticizing the clothes and designs too much and expecting the Pokemon Special writers not to dress the characters in those clothes is kind of futile because unlike the anime and another Pokemon manga there are restriction on what the characters can wear and cannot wear. I can understand express a dislike for a design but say that a character should not wear it especially in this type of manga. Also it seems kind of unlike that new characters based off the rival or the protagonists since this is suppose to an arc based on a remake game set in Johto and not new games set in Johto to be created unless the characters are alternate universe selves of Gold, Silver, and Crystal but with the names Hibiki, 'the rival with no official name', and Kotone. That goes for the gym leaders and elite four as well if there appear in the HGSS arc they will most likely be wearing there new clothes.

Silver's clothes are okay, I guess... they're not really that different. I sincerely hope they don't mess up his hair. Gold's too... well, I'd side with anyone on that one. (But I don't like his pants at all.) And Crystal.. they can giver her the new clothes BUT THEY HAD BETTER NOT REPLACE HER! And I hope they don't chop off Sabrina's hair. I'd be sad. D:

I doubt they will replace Crystal who represent a game version just like the other Pokedex Holders and most of the element from that game version has already been incoporated into HGSS. Sabrina hair looks more it has gel on the edge and pinned to me instead of cut off.

I think there is going to be a Legendary Pokemon gathering in the HGSS arc since most of the Legendary Pokemon are present in HGSS. I also think that the HGSS arc will be longer than the FRLG arc because of all of the features in the HGSS game. Now about Giovanni I wonder what kind of role will he play in the HGSS arc. I thinking that he will disappear and close to the begin of the HGSS arc he will dress in that hat and trench coat though want is he actually up to will remain a mystery in the arc until later on.

Now looking at her picture again I think that Sabrina could have cut her hair out though it does not matter to me if she does cut her hair off in the HGSS arc though.

I see that HG/SS is very popular for discussion in this club! I mean, there are so MANY spoilers! xD I'm wondering how all of this is going to be put into Pokemon Special.

Speaking of Pokemon Special, what was the last volume that came out? It's been so long, I don't even know. >.>
Anyways, I should be getting Soul Silver on Monday, but it doesn't really matter. I was really surprised that pretty much everything HG/SS has been revealed! xD I mean, it's crazy!!! Haha.

Yea the special arc of soulsilver is probably like the fire red arc too, just a sequence of an arc that plays in johto again , maybe invovling the new areas there as well.

XD Silver looks lovely smexy in his new outfit, and if Crys looks like what I've seen of her in fanart, I don't mind so much. Pryce looks BETTER...But I'm still curious as to how Pokespe will deal with that. The only one I have any problem with is Green just because...I don't know, maybe I'm a weirdo who hates seeing him in jackets. Or whatever. X3 Sabrina will be fine, if they can work around her hair (if she reappears to begin with), and if the other GL's reappear, they're okay too.

Mm I don't think so. It did look like Gio's time was up with TR. If there is a resurgence, they'd call for him though.

I doubt the new girl is even related to Crystal. We can't know for sure right now.

I also believe that this is much bigger than the previous Johto arc, since they are including Hoenn and Sinnoh elements in Johto. There is a merging of culture, a union of regions, bigger than what we've seen more. It'll be monumental, no doubt about that. Everything is coming together, connected.

*crosses arms* Judging by what we see in the games, that's what will happen in the manga. And the "new girl better be Crystal" is an old argument at this point so please drop it. It is confirmed this girl is not Crystal, and she is a new character a.k.a. "Kotone".

I'd say in the manga they get sent further back than 3 years, because the game is suppossed to take place after the RBGY games, so I=it would only make sense to me that they would be sent back further.
