1. Why "Platinum"??Guess they figured we already know her name, xD.

3. Why volume 1? Should be 30...

1. There's another manga called Diamond & Pearl Adventure
2. They're going to translate those arcs, Viz is just translating Diamond and Pearl early. (If they went through all the volumes in order, it would take forever for them to get to DP)
3.They don't want to make people think they're skipping a crapload of volumes.

About 2., don't worry! I checked Amazon and Viz is planning to release Volume 11 on the same day as DP Volume 1, and Volume 12 has been announced for an April release, too. I guess that they're going to be released simultaneously. Volumes 13 and 14 will probably be released in June and August 2011, respectively.

1. I'm pretty sure it's to distinguish it from another Sinnoh based pokemon manga called "Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Adventure!" (Obviously, they can cause some serious confusion, and it doesn't help that both are translated by viz.)
2. They ARE translating the arcs in between GSC and Emerald! (sorry for the boldness). They are releasing Vol 12 along side Vol 30 (1 of Platinum).
3. Like I said before, to keep from confusing two different mangas.

You may submit fan fics to the club, if they meet the following the conditions.
-If there is no vulgar language in it (from relatively bad swear words to sexual language.)
-They contain NO lemon (aka mature topics, like sex.)
-keep it around pg (ish)

I think that BillxDaisy is cute, too. They even acknowledge it in the beginning of the FRLG arc. We haven't seen Daisy herself since GSC, but I think it's possible for her to pop up in HGSS.

Plot updates for PokeSpecial~
Although.
here is the clincher.

This update is NOT about HG/SS (or at least, not until later this week).
Surprise! It's about Diamond and Pearl again~
As always, Please discuss this in Spoilers!

Here you go, for a detailed summary and pictures~

It never mentions when this chapter takes place, but judging by their outfits, I'm guessing it takes place in the Platinum arc.

-So, Dia and Pearl go back to the Old Chateau because Prof. Rowan told them to investigate the pokemon, Rotom. (yeah, the same rotom from Vol. 30 ) Since they have their Pokedexes updated, they know now what Rotom is.
-They attack rotom from the TV,but it escapes to Eterna City, to the Team Galactic building (which is now how it looks like in Platinum).
-Pearl enters the building secret agent style while Dia lags behind, then he opens the secret door with the secret key (go look at that pic btw, it made me laugh so hard. xD; )
-They find the appliances, and rotom attacks them, switching between it's Wash, Cut, Heat, Spin, and Frost form.
-Pearl decides to bring the TV from the Old Chateau to trap Rotom in while Dia battles it.
-When Pearl returns, he finds Dia asleep on the grass with rotom.
-Turns out, Rotom just wanted to play and became friends with Dia.
-They leave Rotom and the Old Chateau behind.
the end.

...owo this is a nice change of pace. I know I'm still excited over the HG/SS updates that will appear soon, but for now, I'm happy with this.

Vol. 8 of PokeSpecial is coming out soon~ (I think in 4 days).
I can't wait to get it.

I'm glad to see Rotom got the spotlight in this chapter. Not bad, not bad.
And I find it funny that the secret key is labelled "Secret Key." lol, there's nothing at all suspicious about it.

God it's been a while since I've been on the forums. I just picked up Volume 8 from Borders today and I noticed something pretty funny. Gold nicknamed his Aipom Aibo. I know that it's supposed to be short for "boy" like the suffix "taro" in Japanese translations. But in Japanese "aibou" means partner and Gold calls Pokemon his partners. Probably unintentional and it wasn't the exact spelling but I still found that kinda cute.

Wow, I'd never expect a filler chapter to be headlines for the next DP manga. o_O Looked a little weird how it looked so simple after everything that's happened. Good to see Dia and Pearl in their new outfits.

Uuugh I'm going to have to raid the nearest bookstore which is roughly an hour away because the town I live in fails and apparently sees no need in having a real bookstore and snatch up all the volumes I've missed out on ;~; ...which happens to be all of them. I really wonder where my money goes off to sometimes *hides huge stack of video games >_>*

Also if anyone still cares, the Pokemon Special fandub isn't canceled, just... going through some technical difficulties. Read: I might be losing internet soon and various other things.
