I'm glad to see Rotom got the spotlight in this chapter. Not bad, not bad.
And I find it funny that the secret key is labelled "Secret Key." lol, there's nothing at all suspicious about it.

God it's been a while since I've been on the forums. I just picked up Volume 8 from Borders today and I noticed something pretty funny. Gold nicknamed his Aipom Aibo. I know that it's supposed to be short for "boy" like the suffix "taro" in Japanese translations. But in Japanese "aibou" means partner and Gold calls Pokemon his partners. Probably unintentional and it wasn't the exact spelling but I still found that kinda cute.

Aw, this chapter was cute and like others said, a good change of pace. Yeah System I agree, nothing suspicious about that key at all.

And quite frankly, I don't mind the nickname change. >w< it sounds cute. (Besides, I forgot the nickname Gold gave his sunflora anyway.)

Uuugh I'm going to have to raid the nearest bookstore which is roughly an hour away because the town I live in fails and apparently sees no need in having a real bookstore and snatch up all the volumes I've missed out on ;~; ...which happens to be all of them. I really wonder where my money goes off to sometimes *hides huge stack of video games >_>*

Also if anyone still cares, the Pokemon Special fandub isn't canceled, just... going through some technical difficulties. Read: I might be losing internet soon and various other things.

I don't understand what they are saying, but to my knowledge.

-Crys doesn't catch arceus (kinda saw it coming, since she used a LEVEL ball of all things. :C)
-Arceus escapes and reaches Ekruteak City, destroying the gym.
-Yeah, Gold went to go see Kimono Girls. (Just go look at that picture, he really seems into them)
-Gold battles them I guess, and Aibo Aitaro evolves into uglyAmbipom.
-While everyone is all excited about Aitaro evolving, poor Togetaro is left alone and ignored. (someone on another forum mentioned that apparently, despite Togetaro's high level, Gold hasn't show it real affection, which explains why his Pichu and Togepi have not evolved, since they need happiness to evolve. Gold, you are being a terrible daddy. :c)

Wow... Crys is getting rocked! I love how she's acting all shocked. She's acting like she threw a Master Ball, not a LEVEL ball at a probably 70+ legendary Pokemon, who people in that world apparently see as God. (I wonder who Jesus is...)

I think Ambipoms are ugly too, Chamo-chan. I mean, really? Add another tail? The poor thing already got enough crap for having a tail growing out of its butt. Gold's a perv, too. He's cheating on Crystal! And is Silver finally back? To me, it looked like he and Gold were finally face to face and Silver was surprised to see him. Great chapter, all in all!

Anyway, I'm kinda pis*ed cause I don't have Volume 8 yet. I preordered it and I'm pretty sure Amazon forgot. So I had to order it AGAIN and I probably won't get it for, like, another week.

All in all, I think they did a pretty good job. I like how they kept the nicknames, even if they are different.

QUESTION: How do you think they're going to translate Mask of Ice's name? Are they going to used the 'Masked Man' or keep Mask of Ice? Also, are they going to change the nicknames of Crys's Pokemon?

Hm. most likely, they will have Crys' pokemon have different nicknames. It's not like all the nicknames will be entirely the same. (but *shrug* who knows)

Also, today marks the day that club member (and sister of co-owner Chamo), SilverDragonLaura has become a veteran. Since in the next 6 months about half the core members of the club are getting that honor I'm going to keep note of who is.
