    Hey people i wanted to know which pokemon would you all like as your starters? (only Kanto, jhoto and hoenn)
    i am making a new hack and i want some ideas

    And as for the starters. How's Totodile,Charmander and Treecko? From every region 1 :P

    Anyways, Johto starters are by far my favorite. I never really liked the Hoenn starters. I prefer to go old school :)
     
    well, i would say my favorite starters are Chikorita, Cyndaquil, And Squirtle- But If It Were One From Each Region, I Would Say
    Squirtle- Chikorita- Torchic
     
    How about having different pokémon altogether as starters? but still with the same kinds of advantages and disadvantages (ie. in Neos's Blue Sea, he has Mareep, Trapinch, and Spheal) idk what pokés yu'd want to use, but i have some types in mind:

    • Fighting, Psychic, Dark
    • Rock, Steel, Fire
    • Poison, Ground, Grass
    • Flying, Electric, Ground
    • Rock, Ground, Ice

    there are bajillions more, but it would be cool to see a new type alignment for starting pokés
     
    So we can only choose those ones? :( I would've chosen Squibeel, Meltell, and Freezpool.... :D
    I have to agree with Styles, I way prefer those starters ^^
     
    When i ever get bothered to mess around with a ROM, i add a type to some Pokemon, so their secondary type is Dark. Their evolutions are Dark anyways, so...:
    Corphish, Houndour, Cacnea. My hack idea was called ''Pokemon Dark Ruby'', but i scrapped it, due to lack of equipment, and general laziness (heck, i just like to sprite anyways). I think the starters should fit some sort of of theme- for example have all starters final evolutions a certain type, like i did above.
    If you meant from the existing starters, then definately the Johto ones.

    Something...original and unused?

    Not a proper starter, maybe something like Magikarp ...I dunno... Electrike?

    Or just one, like say...Charmander. Just that. Or just Eevee.
