    Pokemon: The legend of Darkrai.

    Hack of: firered

    Intro:
    Hey guys im new here but iv been hacking for 6 months now so this is my first hack, iv done abit of work on it so far and it's going really well, now on to the hack.


    Story:
    Long time ago a boy named Paul, he was walking in the Dark forest with his flygon then in the
    corner of his eye he saw a flash, so he ran to see what it was and right in front of him he saw the
    Darkrai, Paul looked into his eyes and fell in a dark sleep.
    Scince Paul went nobody ever saw him again.

    50 years later:
    A 9 year old boy/girl and his/hers childhood friend was reading a book about Paul
    and the darkrai, so they was wondering what ever happend to Paul, so the next year the boy/girl
    and his/her friend became a detective to see what happend to Paul.
    Could they ever find out what ever to him ?
    Wait and see.

    Overall this is not a bad idea i actually like this i hope you go far with this idea.

    Well you are trying to find Paul but remember nobody dies in pokemon. ;)

    Explain pokemon tower then, you know, the tower in lavender town that mostly has the dead pokemon that team rocket killed? Even in the anime... well if you plan to see the Celebi movie, don't read this:

    In the manga, pokemon and people die, the pokemon world isn't a fully innocent world, people have lifespans, die, and are killed.
     
    Really nice concept for the storyline. The detective sprites could look really mysterious and awesome. Can't wait to see the end result!

    Lots of hats and cloaks i see coming. Also, how many mysterious will there be? this will also really help set you up if you are to ever do a sequel. Very handy..

    Well then that raises many another questions, do people age or stay the same age, and if not, is the world full of old people or do they go somewhere when they get to old? if people don't die when they get too old, what happens? Can people live underwater? Can they get beheaded by a scyther and live? This makes a HUGE whole in the story.

    You're thinking too much into it.
    In the game they do not die. Thats not to say before/after/outside the game.

    Stop being so litteral..

    I'm not being literal, it's the truth, that is a large time gap and it wouldn't make sense if people don't die, I have never seen a hack where people don't die, if people don't die, do they stay there forever, I'm just saying that it doesn't make sense for someone to be able to live forever, well, not without a place they go to after they have expended their lifespan, without death, there is no danger, no need for a pokemon center if there are no lives needing to be saved, and is Paul the same age? If he didn't die, then how old does he look? See, this raises many questions. Danger adds suspense, but if danger amounts to 0% chance of having to go anywhere to save them (such as a hospital), then it takes away from the suspense...(sigh) I don't dislike this hack, it seems like a good idea, but it doesn't explain:
    Why they automatically know it's Darkrai
    Why no one dies
    Do people age?
    Why 146 years!? That's WAY to long!
    Why they hire a 10 year old?
    ...well, I'm done, good luck :D!
     
    Hardley anyone dies in hacks, so anyway people thanks for the comments.
    There will be awesome screenshots up soon, im just working on some scripts now.

    Anyway, this sounds like it could be a fun hack. Then again, I'm a Darkrai fan, so any game that sounds half decent and has him as the mascot legendary is gonna catch my attention... But disregarding my bias, this sounds quite a bit better than "decent." Good luck with it!

    I do agree, though, that simply handwaving away the fact that this kid has lived for 146 years is probably overdoing it. You could just as easily say that the people in this region believe that Darkrai has the power to put people in such a deep sleep that time freezes for them and they don't age. That way, you can still say that it would be reasonable for the main character to think Paul will look exactly the way he did 146 years ago.

    Seriously, though, if you decide that every character in your universe is 100% god-like immortal, it's going to change their culture so much it won't even be recognizable as anything similar to ours. There's a difference between "we've never seen a character die in canon, despite humorously extreme shows of violence against them" and "it is actually literally impossible for any of the characters to die."
     
    Ok guys iv updated the story, let's hope nobody say's anything about the story accept from good. :P
