In the beginning I get stuck after you defeat that grunt. I have to move upstairs but he still in the same position when he gave his speech with all the other grunts?
Is it a bug? I'm playing the newest version.

I encounterd the same bug.


As a workaround i started a new game with the version 2 of the game and fought against the grunt.
After i completed the fight with the grunt i openend the save-file in the new version of the game.

The evolution is not included in the official spreadsheet yet.

The save info is in the following path on Windows "C:\Users\username\Saved Games\Pokemon The New Order"
You have to switch username with your local username.

Since both versions use the same path, the new version of the game found the savegame automatically.

ah ok. im on linux and using steam proton to run it. so i had to hunt for the file locations. thanks for the info

i chose magnemite for my starter, anyone know when you get your first electric move? since i didnt start with thundershock

At level five or seven. I'm not so sure anymore.^^'
But what I know - it's the best starer for this game.^^ (In my opinion. ;-) )

my team currently consists of magnemite, rookadee, charcadet, aron, ralts, and maril. altho i plan to sub maril for staryu when i can get to the trade.

Charcadet is not very good at the beginning. After a big event it's better for a team.
Azumarill was one of my top Pokémon. With Huge Power it was a VIP.^^
And use more diversity - you have three Steel-Types (I calculate Corviknight into this) so look for a Ground-Type for your team. It can be very helpful.^^

In the end it's your decision - I can only give some advise. ;-)

The problem is that he is still in the area where i get my starter and i don't know how i should continue. I alredy tried to talk to every NPC. Can someone Help me?

Actually, I've been thinking about that. For example, Magneton evolves when leveled up at an electric place, but I've changed it so you just need a Thunder Stone for that. The same will probably go for the traded Pokemon. Making an evolutionary stone shouldn't be an issue and that's probably how I'll solve that problem.
And also, I've fixed these bugs and the download link now leads to the bugfixed version. I hope it works now!

Mine evolved at lvl 41 or 42 I wasn't in an electrical place as far as i could tell

Someone a couple posts above yours suggested a workaround.

Download the 2. version and complete up to the point where you defeat the trainer, then play the game on the 3. version.

Dunno if you found out or not, but according to the pokemon.txt file, Rellor evolves into Rabsca by Level-up starting at Level 30.

According to the pokemon.txt PBS file, Magneton evolves either at Level 41 or via Leveling up in certain locations. (The corresponding map locations are: Rock Cave, Rock Cave, Dungeon (that's what the metadata.txt calls it), Voltaic Tunnel, and Voltaic Tunnel.)

Voltorb Flip is super easy source if ya get the hang of understanding it. Mark any rows of panels you're sure only contain 1s as bombs as a way to ignore them and what ya left with is the panels you only need to concentrate on. Pay attention to the value the rows (horizontally and vertically) have and how many bombs as this can help identify a sure 2 or 3 which can narrow down the position of that 2 or 3.
