Bulbasaur launched solar beam at his angered opponent. The last of his strength existed in that single beam and it was Harry's last chance at victory. The ray shot in a straight line, directed towards the opposing Alakazam. Closer, and closer. Alakazam saw the attack and raised his spoons to teleport. The last second approached. Alakazam quickly began to glow, but in Harry's world, he took forever. And then.... it hit!
The beam threw Alakazam backwards into the wall, sending a cloud of dust in the air. Yet, even though Harry could barely see, he knew he won. A referree walked over to the fainted pokemon, examined his ablity to battle, then stood up. "Harry Kim wins the match!" he shouted.
Harry jumped up in a wave of joy. He had won the first round of the Pokemon League! He grabbed Bulbasaur and hugged him tightly, eager to thank his friend for his help.
The referree walked over to Harry, his arm out to shake his hand in congratulations. Harry slowly placed down Bulbasaur and grasped it, shaking it firmly. The referree openned his mouth and said, "Excuse me..."
"...Excuse me. We have arrived at Goldenrod."
Harry slowly openned his eyes, half expecting to see a battle arena. Slowly returning to the real world, he realized where he was and smiled sheepishly.
"Oh, thanks. I guess I fell asleep." he said to the tall conductor standing before him.
"No problem." the man said. "I see this happen all the time."
"Heh." Harry replied, gathering up his belongings to take off the train. He stepped out into the aisle and turned back to the conductor. "Thanks again." he offered, then he turned back around and walked out the train doors.
