Pokemon: The Secret of Oneko (E10+ / PG) (SU/OOC)

Setting/Plot:

The Oneko region, a place of new beginnings and beautiful landscapes. With rolling green hills that are dotted by pink and yellow flowers, the occasional raining to keep the enviornment cool, many come to Oneko to relax and have a vacation.


May 15th, 1972, a young settler named Jess Pontra arrived and found a large, open field. He resolved what he wanted to do with the open space, and after working it through with Oneko officials, built an academy. The Raichu Academy.


Now, March 20th, 2012, and
the 40th anniversary is coming up. And a boatload of new students just arrived. However, a strange force lurks over the academy. Students begin to dissapear. Oneko authorities begin to think about shutting the academy down, as rumors rise that the place is cursed by Giratina.


But, these new students are fresh and still full of hope. They make it their mission to find out what is really happening at Raichu academy, as they focus on how to save it. You are part of the group of new students. Perhaps it is up to you to save the Raichu Academy from the strange occurences...

The Raichu Academy:
There are a few areas in Raichu Academy. Students are forbidden from leaving the boarding school grounds.

--Interior of Raichu Academy: It is two stories, with a rather large spiral
staircase seperating each one. There are hallways and doors to classrooms and dorms everywhere.

--Dorms. Each dorm holds four kids. They're small and have two bunk beds on each side of them. There are two small chester drawers at the foot of each bed, and a small shelf opposite of the door into the hallway.

--Battle Grounds: Outside, there are four official battle arenas. Here,
students work out rivalries and feuds with each other, while other times the arenas are used as teaching tools for the battle class.

--Classrooms. Just typical classrooms, like in real life. Nothing really
special about them.

--The field. Near the battle grounds is a beautiful field. At sunset, many
students ask for dates due to the romantic scenery.

--At no time, ever, is anyone allowed in Headmaster Ryan Pontras(Jess Pontras son) office.

These four classes make up a students life at the academy. Every RP'er will share the same schedule, the classes in the same order as listed above.

--No playing as any other character than your designated one, unless you are using Lucia to help develop your character or Mr. Doe for some strange purpose.

--No leaving academy grounds. Not a single character may leave.

--Try to keep the PvP fights limited to the battle grounds.

--If you are inactive for too long, your character shall dissapear mysteriously.

--At the bottom, it'll ask you to hide butter in your character history. Do
not do this, hide gummy bear instead.

--You cannot evolve your pokemon until the plot has progressed to the
evolution point.

--Everyone is subject to strange twists. You will recieve a VM about the
twist that has befallen your character and then your next RP must cover the twist. This is to keep the RP from getting stale/boring. Performing a twist is not optional, as you must do it.

--Do not improvise about the academy's backstory/what is happening at the school. No making up crazy stuff.

--Once in a while, I'll reveal a small detail about what's really happening
at Raichu Academy. Your characters DO NOT know this. They must figure it out themselves in the RP.

--To ensure you have read the rules, type "butter" somewhere in your

Lucia: A timid girl who is part of the group of new students, and ready to
help save the Raichu Academy. She has bonded with a Buneary named Nina, and has short pink hair. Her history is hazy, but when you're bunnying her and using your own character to talk/bond with her, you can have her tell your character a fragment of her history. But keep it open, in case another person wants to introduce another fragment. She doesn't have any designated player, so feel free to bunny her in your posts. But remember, she is everyone's character.


John Doe: This is the librarian at Raichu Academy. The library isn't a major location, but pretty much everyone knows that Mr. Doe is hiding something...feel free to bunny him as he wanders the school. Character Name: Kristof "Kris" Stahl

Character Age: Seventeen

Characters History: Kristof was born in Lavaridge Town, Hoenn. His parents owned a local herb shop, selling them to trainers and spa goers alike. Although his family owned the business, and it was quite good, Kristof was hardly interested in the taking over the family business. His real interest was in the nearby desert, and the myths of the ruins even deeper in it. When he had the chance, Kristof would sneak off to explore.

As Kristof grew older, he set his sights on other areas, wanting to be able to go out and explore. After befriending a Trapinch from the desert, his parents finally had agreed to let him leave on his journey. As he was ready to set off, he received a letter from the Raichu Academy. After reading it, Kristof decided that this was his destination, seeing as an opportunistic to explore and learn much more.

Characters Personality: Kristof is an extremely curious person. He loves to learn and explore as much as he possibly can. His biggest interests is in myths, growing up near where it was said Regirock was sealed only fueled this. He is also quite energetic and loves to take on new challenges. Although very hasty, he does not rush into things without thinking at first, and can be quite the analyzer, breaking down situations quite fast.

Character's Appearance: Kristof is tall and lean. Standing at a full six foot three, weighing roughly two-hundred and four pounds. His hair is chocolate brown, being typically in a messy sort of style, causing it to have spikes all over. His clothing consists of black suit pants, leather loafers for his shoes. He wears a plain white dress shirt, along with a red tie. He also wears two silver rings on his index and right fingers upon his right hand.

Pokemon Nickname: Sonic Boom

How Player met Pokemon: One day, while Kristof was out exploring in the desert, a large, and horrible sandstorm swept in, completely distorting his vision. As he walked further, he fell into a sandpit. Tumbling down, he hit the ground, finding himself in a colony of Trapinch. He panicked a bit, not sure what to do as they began to close in on him. As one was ready to bite him, another got in the way, taking the hit for him. Picking up the injured Trapinch, Kristof managed to climb his way out. He took it back, letting it rest in the hot springs, along with feeding it herbs and vitamins daily to let it heal. Ever since Sonic Boom got better, they have been the best of friends.

Character Name: Van Beckett

Character Age: 17

Characters History:
Born in Cerulean City, Van lived with his father, who was a salesman for the local pokemart and spent most of his time away on business. Van's mother passed away when he was a child, so when his father was gone, Van would stay and work at the local Gym while the leader, Misty, looked after him. Van quickly grew to love water pokemon just as Misty does, and at the age of 10, she gave him a Squirtle. He grew close to Squirtle, and before long Misty had hired him to battle the weaker Gym challengers to weed out the trainers who weren't ready to face Misty.

Having trained with a Gym leader for so long, Van became well known among travelling trainers. Eventually, he decided to travel around Kanto collecting badges (and hopefully run into his dad every now and then for some free food and a place to sleep). His plans changed when he heard of the Raichu Academy, and a farewell battle with Misty (which he lost horribly), he was off to start classes.

Characters Personality: Van is a genius when it comes to school and general knowledge and logic skills, though he tends to rush into things without thinking. He is a bit quiet, but always has a sarcastic comment at hand. He is a very charismatic speaker, despite his more reserved attitude, and is adept at talking himself out of trouble. Van is very easy-going and laid back around his friends, but can become a bit of an idiot when there are girls around.

Character's Appearance: Van is slightly on the shorter side, standing around 5'7", though he always claims to be a couple inches taller, and weighs about 145 pounds. He is built very lean, but athletic, and has always been the fastest runner amongst his peers. He has medium-length, dark brown hair, always kept neat-ish and pushed to the side, with a few stray spikes sticking up. He wears worn, straight-leg jeans, faded from always working around the pools in the Cerulean gym, and a light grey t-shirt with a simple, navy blue circle on the chest. He always wears a plain black training jacket, with white stripes running down the arms, and old black tennis shoes. The only accessories he wears are black-rimmed glasses, which he is nearly completely blind without.

Character's Pokemon: Squirtle
Squirtle was given to Van by Cerulean's gym leader Misty on his 10th birthday, as a gift and partner for his travels. Squirtle and Van grew close quickly, and are practically inseparable now.

Character Name: Maci Rockwell

Character Age: 17

Characters History: Maci grew up in Foretree City. Living in a town that was made up of tree houses and that was so thickly wooded may have easily been what partially sparked her adventurous side. She was born to a young mom and dad; they were both only 19 when they had her. Since they didn't have the best idea of how to parent her, they mostly let her have whatever she wanted. This led to her being quite spoiled. She lived an easy life, often seen playing pretend in her room or climbing trees outside.

Things changed for Maci when her parents gave birth to twins: a boy (Zander) and a girl (Olivia) when she was 12 years old. Her parents stopped spoiling her nearly as much. In fact, they hardly paid attention to her anymore because they had to focus on the babies. When she turned 17, her siblings were 5. At this point, their parents realized that they were borderline neglecting Maci and felt really guilty about it, and decided to send her to Raichu Academy to better her education, while at the same time, so that they would no longer have to worry about her as much and to focus on Zander and Olivia instead.

Characters Personality: Maci is a spunky girl. She's usually full of energy, and loves having fun. Her personality is laid back to a point where she sometimes has difficulty taking things seriously. Maci is also brave and courageous. She has been known to take risks without seeming to be even a little scared. Although she does get scared sometimes, she hides it well. She's a sweet, adventurous girls who likes to make other people laugh. One major personality flaw of hers, however, is the fact that there's a large portion of her that hasn't grown up. She can be mature when lectured about it, but other than that, she doesn't. She's impatient and too used to getting her way, and has been known to through hissy fits when things doesn't go as she plans them. Even though she's caring, it could be argued that she's very selfish because of how stubborn she is about things going her way. She's more likely to get irritated or annoyed than sad, but like any person, she's not immune to sadness. However, she isn't good at expressing it, so Maci is known to let her sadness bottle up until she explodes.

Character's Appearance: Maci is far from ugly, but using words like "pretty", "beautiful" or "hot" don't quite fit her. Better words to use to describe her appearance would be "cute" or "adorable". Her appearance is quite androgynous; people have occasionally thought she was a young boy before hearing her high pitched, feminine voice or before seeing her breasts (albeit small breasts). Maci keeps her crimson colored hair in a boyish hairdo, somewhere between her ears and shoulders in length, but closer to her ears. A few short bangs cover up her forehead. Her eyes are big and frequently light up with childlike awe when she's particularly happy, and are a deep, forest grin. Her lips frequently form a dorky grin. As for her figure, she's about 5'5". Her figure isn't exactly womanly; she barely fills out an A cup bra and her hips are tiny. She has a slender figure. Her bones don't stick out very far, but she is still definitely on the more petite side. As for her outfit choice, her preferred outfit is a shirt with thick red and white stripes, a ruffly red skirt, and white flip flops.

Pokemon Nickname: Buttercup

How Player met Pokemon: Buttercup was given as a gift to Maci from her parents. Her dad was good friends with one of the people working at the daycare, and since someone abandoned an egg there, he gave the egg to Maci's dad. They took care of the egg, and eventually it hatched a Pichu. Since her mom and dad felt bad enough not paying much attention to Maci after the birth of the twins, they gave the Pichu, who she ended up naming Buttercup, to her as a "going away gift" as she went to Raichu Universary. Buttercup has not been battled much at all since, so she is not very strong yet.

Character Age: 16
Characters History: (Must be at least 2 paragraphs)
Characters Personality: Benjamin is a serious dude. He refuses to be serious or funny. He has a sense of humor drier than the US economy. He is painfully honest to people and will not cushion the blow of what he says by honey coating the words. Not many people have liked him in the past because he said what he really thinks of them, and he has a talent seeing what people are really like and not what they pretend to be. He doesn't lie even when someone asks if he loves them.

Just take away the crown and the wings, and replace his suit and tie with a green polo and dark jeans.

Pokemon Nickname: Varys

How Player met Pokemon: Ben (as people call him) grew up in Lavaridge Town. He lived with his mother and brother. His father left the family when he was a young child at the age of seven. Ben's mother taught him to be honest, which he took a little too far. He once told a bully that he was ugly, and a bit on the dumb side. He 'repayed' him by making him go to the Mirage Desert for a few hours. While he was out there, this Trapinch found him and threatened to attack him. He started to grapple with the wild pokemon. He loved wrestling with it so much, that he decided to take with him. He managed to carry it with him back to Lavaridge and he sicked it on the bullies. His mother disapproved of it, but she loved him and gave him a pokeball to catch it in. He wrestled it to the ground and some how managed to pin it down long enough to capture it. From then on, he named it Varys and it became his very best friend. At age sixteen, he set off with his best friend.

Name: Anika Scyrri
Age: 14
History: Anika's family ran a small shop in Cianwood City selling sundried fruit slices. Her parents wanted to teach her the family business, but Anika had other, greater ideas. She just wasn't sure what this new, great thing would be.

One day, a water-Pokemon-riding, hat-wearing messenger arrived with flyers for a better chance for Anika: Raichu Academy. Although they argued amongst each other at first, her parents finally agreed to send Anika there. It was a long ride for her, and a long swim for her Pokemon, but finally they caught up with.....a large boat.

Personality: Anika is usually very generous and friendly to others, often offering to help them with carrying heavy loads, watching Pokemon for the day, etc. However, she easily holds grudges against people who've wronged her, and they usually last a while.
Appearance: long blonde hair, bright sea-green eyes, usually wears jeans and a purple or dark pink hoodie
Pokemon: a male Totodile
Pokemon's nickname: Tsunami
How character met Pokemon: Cianwood, being a large island, was once hit by a massive tsunami that damaged many of the buildings (but not destroying any). When clearing out the debris, Anika's mother found a Totodile swimming around some wooden planks. Anika, who later noticed the small Pokemon, asked to have it. Although it took lots of begging and extra counter shifts, she was later given a Poke Ball to catch the Totodile with. The capture was a success, and she nicknamed the Totodile Tsunami, after the way she found him.

Character Age: 15

Characters History: Born into a average family in Viridan City, Randal's upbringing seemed quite normal. The son of a postal worker and lab tech, his parents were somewhat over-protective of him, causing to initially be somewhat shy in public. Randal has become more social lately, now that his parents allow him to go out more because, because he's older now.

Although concerned about him attending school so far away from viridian, Randal's parents agreed to allow him to go to Raichu academy.They realize he needs to socialize more and be with people his own age.

Characters Personality: Pretty laid back, but can be serious at times, Randal tries to have fun all the time, and often has to force himself to get work done. Randal was once a very shy person who didn't try to socialize much, but he tries to get involved in things with other people now, often times this causes him trouble.

Character's Appearance: Randal has shoulder length brown hair and green eyes. He typically wheres a zip-front jacket (usually open) and long pants.

Character's Pokemon: Charmander

How character met Pokemon: Randal was always fascinated by pokemon, and always wanted to go out and become a great trainer. His parents were opposed to him leaving home at such a young age. His parents did decide to allow Randal to get a Pokemon when he turned 10, they obtained an egg from a breeder (unknown to anyone what was inside) and gave it to Randal. After taking care of it for 3 weeks, it suddenly hatched into a charmander, the two have been inseparable ever since

Characters History: Kam has a very strange childhood from the rest of the casual trainers. While most Pokemon trainers are raised in cities and meet Pokemon through their travels with a Pokedex in their hands, Kam was raised in the forest alongside forest Pokemon and his adventurous parents. Kam's parents never like staying in society or cities because they feel its influence can be a poison to their son and so they move to the forest so that he may grow up pure. They also perish at the thought of containing Pokemon inside Pokeballs, but will still carry them so that they can capture and release dangerous Pokemon that threaten the forest. Because of this upbringing in the forest, Kam sees the good in all people and Pokemon. He also has the special talent to create a bond with any Pokemon of any shape or size as proven when he had to battle a wild Ursaring while his parents slept. At ripe age of seven he was able to tame the wild Ursaring's heart and then became a leader of the forest Pokemon. His parents were so proud of Kam that they let him live in the forest with Pokemon as they were to torn to take him away from his new family. So now Kam has lived in the forest, alone, with the forest Pokemon for five years and has been using his special ability of unity to protect the forest from destruction.
Characters Personality: Being raised in the forest away from the influences of society's "poisons" according to his parents, Kam has become a very trusting and loving person. Always willing to see the good in all humans and Pokemon, Kam will never give up on saving a soul in need. While staying in the forest with the Pokemon, he is not adjusted to most interaction with humans and acts like the typical jungle boy. He screams loud and doesn't know many of the common sense mannerisms. Because of his purity, Kam will not lie and thus is brutally honest, unbeknownst to him it is brutal. Kam is always hyped to learn new things and meet new friends. He seems to have an attractive personality that brings him to build bonds with any Pokemon.

Being raised in a jungle, Kam has short and wild black hair that has never battled with a comb or brush. He only wears a pair of ripped brown cargo shorts that his parents gave him. The only other accessory Kam has is the pendant around his neck that has a picture of him, his parents, and their forest Pokemon friends.

How Player met Pokemon: While exploring the forest and swinging from the trees with his fellow forest Pokemon friends, Kam came across a Chimchar going on a rampage in the middle of what was a burning forest. Kam was quite confused and scared and found himself smack in the middle of the rampaging Chimchar's path of destruction after snapping his branch. Afraid and unable to move, Kam's forest Pokemon friends tried to defend him against the Chimchar's raging attacks, but were all snuffed out by her overpowered Ember. "Is she in Blaze range?" Kam thought as the Fire chimp continued to try to burn down the forest. Shaking off his fear, Kam grab a stick and wrapped a rock with a vine around it and began to fight against the Chimchar. Dodging Ember and Scratch attacks, Kam smacks the Chimchar as hard as he can with the make-shift club. The attack is enough to knock the Chimchar out and stop her blazing rampage. With a lot of regret in his eyes, Kam throws a Pokeball and captures the Chimchar. "I'm sorry that I have to contain you, but it's to protect my friends of the forest. One day I'll find a way to calm your anger and we can become friends" Thus the combination of Burst and Kam was made.

Nice character! However, we're all out of Student Spots...but, I've noticed some of the other 'characters' aren't very active on PokeCommunity. If someone forgets to confirm their character, you'll take their place.

Character Name:Minato Namikaze
Character Age:14
Character History:His parents died at a very young age, he was stricken with anger and grief at their loss.Had his uncle Jiraiya not intervened he would have grown up an orphan. The Gallant Jiraiya could not let this happen and adopted him deciding to teach him the nuances of life.He took Minato far and wide travelling the land.Minato travelled to spectacular places few had ever seen and interacted with people few had ever met.And the ocassional bathhouse or two, a few of these visited while eating gummy bears.
Character Personality:Calm, collected, and highly perceptive he picks up on things few do due to his extensive experience with Jiraiya.Is said to be a very nice person, and is respectful of those around him.Is very good at reading peoples emotions and the hidden meaning of things.Beneath the underneath as they say.
Character Appearence:He wears a tracksuit with three stripes on the sleeves, mesh under-shirt and dark pants,He stands at 5'4 is fair skinned, has bright blue-eyes and spiky blond hair and jaw length bangs on either side of his face.

How player met pokemon
He was travelling the forests with Jiraiya when he came across a green blur running past him,he initially payed it no mind but suddenly he heard the sound of buzzing coming from behind him. A swarm of beedrill and they looked pissed,he and Jiraiya looked at eachother for a split second while they both tought the same thing "Run like Hell!!" so they bolted off running throught the forest eventually escaping the bedrill but not before quite a few of them pricked Jirayas butt. Said man moaned about it for weeks afterwards.

Once the had outrun the swarm they sat down in relief, Minato however noticed something odd with their scenery a green frog dinasaur thing was next to them A bulbasaur if he recalled correctly Minato was impressed with its speed keeping upwith the two of them.Deciding he liked the idea of a pokemon fast enough to keep up with him he took out a berry from his pouch and offered it to him,said bulbasaur bite the berry ,but also his entire hand swallowing it whole. What ensued was Jiraiya Laughing his ass off at that and Minato sweatdroping.

Jiraya agreed to let him keep it on the condition he name it.And so Coqasaur Joined their little Party
