How about next time you post in this thread just trying to pick fights rather than argue solid points, you just don't. Because the next time you do, the infraction hand out will begin. You're knowledge of IVs and EVs and your team is irrelevant here. What's relevant is that you're basing your argument on silly assumptions and baseless attacks. You have failed to prove why Garchomp isn't broken and I doubt you can come up with a reason we haven't already come up with an argument against. So either back off and accept that Garchomp is temporarily banned or come up with solid evidence or expect an infraction.
 
Well alright then. Now, if it's any difference, I'd like to discuss how Chomp would thrive in Uber. I say pretty dang well. Little can switch into his assault, and he has the ever popular Mew to back him up. Granted, Ttar is also their to give him some backup, and there is an abundance of Auto weather changers to offset his Sand Veil, giving him more balance.

My points were solid.


And about Garchomp being used in ubers, Garchomp will perhaps be useable in uber, but certainly he won't be one of the best. Garchomps Ice weakness and Dragon weakness will hurt in ubers, Sand Veil will not be worth much with Groudy and Kyogre, and Garchomp can switch into almost nothing. Also his 102 speed will become just average. He will lose against the real sweepers like deoxy and Mewtwo.

Please note that a pokemon's viability in OU has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with how good a pokemon plays in the Uber metagame. A pokemon can completely suck and be outclassed in Ubers (See regular Deoxys) and this does not matter at all. As long as a pokemon is deemed broken in the OU metagame, it'll be banned to Ubers.

Anyways, I think it'll work great, as long as the other team doesn't have a Groudon. I think even the beast Lugia gets 2HKOd by a SD Outrage... I don't know though, goes to check....

Ive tried it in a couple of uber battles but with Dragon Claw/Outrage/EQ/Fire Fang or Blast@Choice Band. It hasnt happened yet, but revenge kills are what concern me, stuff like deoxys so thats why i run D Claw for early game, aswell as outrage to late game sweep. But yeah, it works pretty nicely, it isnt outclassed either. T-Tar is also pretty common in ubers, so you can get some Sand Veil hax with that aswell =p

Also, I love how much of a hypocrite you are! You scoff at us for assuming what your skill level is, and then you go ahead and bash Ooka's knowledge (even though he knows about IVs and EVs obviously, lol).

Do us all a favor and get out, unless you have something worthwhile to say...and based on my first impression of you, that will never happen. Your points weren't solid at all, lol...and if you were as skilled as you act lik you are, you would know how the tier system works, lol.

Anyways, considering it can OHKO Lugia...woah. That's pretty impressive. Steels in ubers could give it trouble if you're outpredicted. Yay unbalanced uber metagame!

I don't think it's THAT imbalanced. The uber metagame, that is. Garchomp should be enjoying his promotion with honors.

Garchomp has double Ice weakness? What idiot uses Ice Beam in ubers anyway? He has a dragon weakness? No uber know a dragon attack! He has mediocra defences and will have troubles switching in? An uber like Garchomp doesn't need defence to survive! And even though Groudon and Kyogre will make Sand Veil useless, Its still a cool ability so I guess it will help anyway.
So please, let me cry in a corner! For now, I, the Great Shadow Chaos, finally relised that my Mewtwo and Deoxys-FR are weak, comparing the the great and mighty Garchomp they have no attacking power! Also, training Groudon will be useless, for he is replaced by a Pokemon with a far superior attack and defences!

Garchomp will from now on be on every uberteam! I am going to Smogon and tell them that Garchomp MUST be uber! And after that I will tell that to all sites I know! For the Great Garchomps power will be feared!

It was foolish of all humans to do not see Garchomps power to dominate the ubermetagame! And now they will suffer his wrath!

So being a smartass is how you retaliate? In case you haven't picked it up along the way, it doesn't matter how well Garchomp functions in Ubers, because the fact is, he's just too broken for the OU metagame. I was testing this on Shoddy, and after a SD, my Garchomp OHKO'd a Weezing and a Gyarados, consecutively, with 1 Outrage. Then I got confused, switched out, then brought him back in and 6-0d the guy. Point is, Garchomp is broken in OU, thus it has been banned to Uber. Nothing you say here will change our minds, because your arguments have already been argued countless times.

Garchomp is a beast...period. It'd remain in OU if Sand Veil wasn't its trait, and if it didn't get Swords Dance (that may underpower it). Those are the two things that, when put with its good speed, much HP, and decent defenses, make him a force to be reckoned with. The Sand Veil is probably the most damaging part because if your counter misses, then gg...gg from hax. He is commonly outclassed in ubers, namely by Rayquaza and Dragon Arceus. Sand Veil becomes basically useless in a sun/rain-dominated game. However, SD Outrage still hurts everything aside from steel types, as noted against Lugia. Still, Ice Beam is common in Ubers, so you better OHKO. Even in Ubers, however, 269 sp.atk is needed for a guaranteed OHKO on standard sets.

Anyway... Maybe we should move onto another topic.

I think the sarcasm should stop...you won't be getting anywhere.

But will he still be able to post nonsense like that? Do we report it? Ignoring it is no problem, I'll do that, but if he's still spamming nonsense like that, do we report? I mean, just ignoring doesn't make the problem go away, but if you say so, then no problem.
 
Back on topic, the month of chomp being banned is coming to an end. I think it's been a lot better, I can fair very well against a sandstorm team now, but I did battle someone with a chomp (in a sandstorm) yesterday, and it KOd 4 of my pokemon, but I ended up winning due to sheer luck.

I think of the people I've battled, I'm seeing a LOT less sandstorm teams, and more developed/thoughtful teams.
 
Doesn't matter. Too many people still use Sandstorm, and I agree, they don't have much thought. Hippowdon, Ttar, Blissey, yada yada yada. Seinfield sucks, by the way.

They need to, as you said, get more creative with their teams, and put some actual thought.

But yes, without chomp, there IS a better metagame (in my opinion), because theres more of a variety. Not every team is a sandstorm/counter for sandstorm team
 
First, I reminded myself of that God awful show from when I said "yada". He sucks.

Sandstorm teams used to just be gimmick weather teams. What we nede are non ubers who can automatically set the weather.
 
Abomasnow? I used him, he was a pretty awesome way to set up stallrein/weavile/glacion.

But you mean rain/sun? Yes, perhaps it will happen next generation. Or an item that makes the weather change, or something.
 
Yeah, Obama isn't enough. We need moar weather, since Hail teams are sub par. The varirety of what you can get via Sandstorm is amazing. Rock, Ground, and Stell. Ice teams...well, you know.
