    Yo --

    Alright so I've been extremely interested in the Pokemon timeline for a while now. I have my own opinions, beliefs, and speculations regarding the timeline and would love to discuss with others what their views on the overall timeline throughout the franchise are. There are a few key points to keep in mind regardless of your view though: The mega evolution universe and non-mega evolution universe are pretty much confirmed since Zinnia's discussion on alternate universes in ORAS; and this >>https://archive.is/D9iPz<< by Game Freak scenario writer Toshinobu Matsumiya where he confirms the chronology of the core series games. So now with Sun & Moon released and the few bits of information we received in that game (Sina & Dexio/Grimsley), this discussion will focus on just how exactly you believe Sun/Moon fit in either mega universe or non-mega universe. Or if you agree with Matsumiya's chronology at all.

    the link doesn't work for me, something about an unsecure connection

    But basically the way I currently see it is that the timeline goes:

    Universe 1: Gen 1+3-->Gen 2+4-->Black/White-->B2W2+XY-->Sun/Moon
    Universe 2: ORAS

    All future remakes of pre-Gen 6 games will fall into Universe 2

    I think the games are on a new timeline.

    Because in ORAS Looker was unconscious and had no memory in Hoenn. How could this happen? We don't get an answer, but what we do know is this is a UB effect from being in the wormhole. Due to Looker hunting them, I will be willing to bet that's how he gets there. They found Anabel the exact same way.

    You could say ORAS takes place after Sun and Moon, but Wally's presence debunks this as he shouldn't be a trainer.

    Because of these factors, Sun and Moon are either their own timeline, or the theory that there's now two lookers is right. I don't see why or how there could be two lookers though, unless the other one was from the non mega universe. But that can't be possible as the No Memory Looker has Audinite, an item unobtainable in the non mega timeline.

    Technically, Universe 2 would be Universe 3 because the original RBY and GSC games would be marked as Universe 1, making the Universe 1 you marked as the actual Universe 2.
