4th Gen Pokemon traded don't listen.

So recently I bought myself a new DSi and started Soul Silver. In hopes to keep my treasured pokemon, I traded my three favourites from Diamond using the old DS onto Soul Silver on the new DSi. I've never done this before and used the basic wifi room you'd use when someone's close to you, not the all over the world wifi. I went to use the three new pokemon in battle and they just don't listen to me. If I continue to use them will they listen or should I just put them back on Diamond to keep them happy(heh). Has anyone else had this problem? It's Empoleon, Dialga & Riolu. ​

You should probably train the Pokemon you get in SoulSilver. :( It's kinda of...not that fun if you trade over super strong Pokemon to blaze through the game, and the penalty for that is that they won't listen to you over certain levels. You need more badges for them to listen.

1st badge: traded Pokemon up to level 20 will listen to you
2nd badge: up to level 30
4th: up to 50
6th: up to 70
8th: all Pokemon will listen to you
