I read a book about when pokemon was still in the first season and it said that the developers of pokemon considered making ash's first pokemon a dugtrio! can you believe that? (instead of buying pikachu toys we would be buying dugtrio toys ) talk about your weird pokemon facts. Anybody else got any weird pokemon trivia?

I heard they were going to make it a Clefairy.

Poliwag is Satoshi Tajiri's favourite Pokémon, and also the very first one he created. He says he likes it because the swirl on his stomach are where the intestines should be. ^^ Funny Tajiri-san, hilarious. Hmm. I always thought Pikachu would have been the first one created.

Apparently... Jessie and James are only 17, or so I heard. I thought they were at least 25. Wow. xD

In Pokémon RBGY, Lickitung never learned Lick. Wtf?

The person who voiced Ash back in the old 4Kids days, also voiced his mom. Also, the voice of Misty was the voice of Jessie, and the voice of Brock, was also the voice of James. (The voice of Tracey was also Bakura from Yuugiou, and Cassidy's voice was Mai Valentine's voice) xD

That's pretty much all I know, but this is fun~

I heard that Ash's first Pokémon was to be a Clefairy as well.

Anyway, I know that there are three PokéApps that you cannot recieve in Diamond/Pearl. I think seventeen, eighteen, and nineteen are the ones that you cannot get.

Clefairy? Wow. O_o Professor Oak would be insane to give a rare Clefairy to him, unless the rarity of it would have decreased..

I never knew that Polywhirl was the first Pokemon he drew, thats kinda of interesting...

I heard they were going to make it a Clefairy.
My friend said it was poliwhirl

I don't know about the Clefairy and the Poliwhirl (why would they give him an evolved Pokemon anyways?) But I read about Dugtrio from a book, so its a lot reputable then a friend (I'm not saying anything bad about people's friends) I think I still have the book... I think its called extreme pokemon from scholastic, I 'll check to be sure...

anyway does anyone know brock's or misty's last name? I think misty's last name is waterflower but I don't know for sure. Can anybody confirm this?

    Yeah He would be.

I can remember having read the names Misty Waterflower and Brock Slate in a Wikipedia article some years ago but Wikipedia is not a reliable source as it can be changed by everyone. I searched Wikipedia again but this time I could not find last names for Brock or Misty, neither in the German Wikipedia nor in the English Wikipedia. Maybe someone took these names out of the article.

I found this line in the Italian Wikipedia:
Nel manga Magical Pokémon Journey si scopre che il nome completo della ragazza è Misty Waterflower anche se in alcuni film appare nei crediti come Misty Williams.

I cannot speak Italian but if I had to guess, I'd say that it states that Misty was called Misty Waterflower in the Manga "Pokemon Magical Journey" and she appeared in the ending credits of a movie as Misty Williams. However, that's just my guess. Maybe someone can translate it?

Anyway, some fans seem to be using Waterflower and Slate as last names for Misty and Brock.

    Old Skool

The reason Clefairy was to be one of Ash's starter pokemon was because back in the first comics my Satoshi Tajiri-san. Clefairy were some of the last of the Aliens and Ash had an adventure with them. Oak never gave him a pokemon back then. Like he does in the Anime and games. Ash caught his first pokemon with nets, before ever getting ahold of pokeballs. As Pokemon trainers were rare and few.

Also fun fact, when your pokemon came out of the pokeball. It would have a tagged number on it. Indicating what number pokemon it was for how many you had caught. In a picture where some other trainers sent out their pokemon. The numbers 278, 634, and 32. Were on a Fearow, Snorlax, and venusaur. As where Ash's pokemon he sent out I believe was a Poliwag had the number 3 on it.

Poliwhirl was Red's first Pokemon in Pokemon Adventure so it probally was a chose for Ash's starer.

ok I remember now he had a poliwhirl in the manga, but I have read only one book of the manga...

    1) so brock's last name is slate, I didn't know that...

    Translation:
In manga the Magical Pokémon Journey one discovers that the complete name of the girl is Misty Waterflower even if in some films it appears in the credits like Misty Williams

    Hope that helps.

Anybody else got some interesting pokemon trivia? Tell us!

    Lickitung DID learn Lick? So many people told me it didn't... o_O;;

My friend said it was poliwhirl

Probably because Red from the manga had a Poliwhirl at the beginning.

*Both the Pokémon with the lowest and highest combined stats are unevolved (Sunkern and Arceus)
*In Generation I, only one POkémon (Eevee) could evolve in more than one path.
*Only even-numbered generations have the day/night system.

I know other things, but I don't remember.

I had no idea about all that you members are talking, Ash having a Dugtrio would make no sense.

Here is another gasping fact. Arcanine is said to be a Legendary Pokemon. But you can catch a Growlithe in a grass patch.

I named my person RED and I never heard of this "Pokemon Adventure" you speak of.
