That's how difficult this was for me.
Everything in this game was calibrated to my own abilities, and I never tried to make things unfair. It's meant to be a very chaotic scene, as I am a sucker for tension, and I tried to make it fair because there's no fun in a challenge that doesn't a least give you a chance to beat it (not talking about Chad fights, but it still kinda applies there too).
Explanation for the Chase Scene
Spoiler:
For the ??? chase you have a 50/50 chance of running away and a 50/50 chance of not being hit by it's attack. When a pokemon faints and it asks if you want to switch in, if you select no it acts as another chance to run away. Essentially you have 11 chances to run away before you're team is KO'd. If you are KO'd 3 times the game gives you an option to skip the scene. ???'s movements are very erratic and it comes at you from all over the place, but that's what adds to the tension, and for me at least, the fun. Personally I feel that this moment is very fair. What might be perceived as unfair is the sudden change of game mechanics without proper explanation. But seeing as eventually people either figure out the gimmick or escaped untouched it shows that whether or not I didn't explain it well enough it's still beatable. If it's still beatable, it's fair.
I don't want to fall back on this as an excuse for every time someone disagrees with a decision I made but the game was designed for me first and is not something that everyone will enjoy. That applies to almost every video game too. I can make adjustments if things seem extremely unfair and prevents the majority of people from reaching the end, but this isn't one of those moments.
I'm glad you're still choosing to stick to the game. Please don't take this as a personal attack. I just wanted to give my perspective.
