it should be noted that some things beginning with 'digi' were only like that in the dub. For example, the "Digidestined" are just "Chosen Children", "Digi-modify" was originally called "Card Slash". "Digivolving" was just normal evolving ("Agumon shinka....Greymon!" instead of "Agumon digivolve to...Greymon!"), but interestingly enough, they kept "Spirit Evolution" in the dub of Frontier. Also, all the jokes with 'digi' in it, such as Tentomon saying he wants his "digimommy" and such, well, it's only obvious those weren't present in the original. Though, yeah, a lot of things do start with 'digi' in either version, but I don't see why it should bother you so much. If anything, naming patterns just makes things easier to remember.
