Pokemon Yellow Remake?

    I have played Pokemon yellow befire and i have to say aprt from graphics i think its one of the best pokemon games out there however the game is now over 10 years old and isn,t compatible with any new games i know HG/SS have remade kanto but yellow is set years before and is based on the anime they could even inculde the orange and sevii islands! so i think its a good idea although i doubt it will come out anytime soon as nintendo does it for the money and it wouldn,t sell as much... still i hope it does come out! please put at the end of you comment //for you would buy it or/ for you woudn,t buy it thank you!
     
    I'd rather let Kanto rest for a very long time. That and Game Freak haven't really done anything related to the cartoon since Yellow (Which was little more than a reskinned Red/Blue to cash-in on the show's success)
     
    I think if they'd have done it, then they'd have done it by now. It would be stupid to release a Johto remake before a Kanto remake.
     
    Well i suppose ,would you like one? im going to try and make my own with the rpg maker becasue i like pokemon yellow howver sadly i have to agree.
     
    I think The 100 Mega Shock has a point. Kanto's been featured a lot and it doesn't quite let any of the other regions (especially Hoenn) have some exposure. I'd rather leave Kanto alone and focus on the others.

    There has been rumors, though, that Nintendo were planning on making a Yellow remake, but it's just a fanmade DS box cover someone made and posted it somewhere publicly. Plus, some people were a bit exaggerating when HeartGold/SoulSilver came out, they thought that a Yellow remake was coming out because of the ability to walk with your Pokemon.
     
    Perhaps they could go for it, as Hoenn's graphics aren't completely atrocious enough to remake yet, and Gen V is basically a newer parallel of Gen I, imo.
    So far the only proof of a Gen V remake set in Kanto is this
     
    As much as I love Kanto, it needs a rest. It has been featured in every Generation so far. Exept for Gen V. That's a little to much. I know that a Pokemon Yellow Remake will not be comming any time soon. If it does, I'm going to be so bored that Sinnoh will give me exitement.

    Why would I want a Yellow remake when FireRed and LeafGreen are essentially the same thing sans the Pikachu and the starters? XD
     
    Pokémon Yellow was essentially released as a filler game when the original Gold and Silver were delayed quite significantly in release. It was the same for the animé - that's what the whole Orange Islands series was about.

    Since it was just a stop-gap measure it's very unlikely that GameFreak would consider it a 'real' game (despite the numbers it sold in), more of an add-on for Red/Blue/Green and probably won't re-make it. I think that introducing Pokémon that follow you in HG/SS was a reference to fans wanting a Yellow re-make (making HG/SS the ultimate nostalgia game before Black/White completely re-sets everything), and is probably the closest your going to get to it.

    All the signs point to a Hoenn re-make post-Black/White. I'm so sure I'd bet £10 on it.
     
    I think Yellow was one of my favorites since it was along with how the anime went and back then I was obsessed with capital letters lol. But I doubt them remaking it any time soon or ever for that matter, granted I give kudos to Nintendo for remaking old games when other companies will not <3 Just another reason to look into keeping all your systems in good shape :) Cheers to Pikachu~
     
    No, please no.

    In the original Yellow, the Pikachu was easily the biggest liability on my whole team. It was fragile as heck and couldn't OHKO opponents that any other Pokemon would have been able to. Not to mention having to have to look at the ugly thing follow you like the parasite that it is. And we already have FR/LG. And Kanto was featured in the Johto games. It is completely unnecessary to remake it at this point in time.

    Except for one certain character from FR/LG who is featured in my signature, I think it's time to lay Kanto to rest. As well as all this Pikachu favoritism :/
     
    Look, I see what your aim is, but it's just never gonna happen. It has been discussed time and time again, and you're going to essentially get the same answers. Might as well put this out of its misery, like the other Yellow remake threads before it.
