"Guys, we need to get out of here!" Tawny whispered urgently, her sharpened sight seeing the POkemon surrounding them.

"We can't stay any longer," she whispered, her voice nearly inaudible.

I could feel my Salamence gathering energy, and launch a flamethrower over the porest, setting a group of trees ablaze. Houndoom understood, and started setting fire to the forest surrounding the clearing, as Scytehr took to the sky, moving into the clearing.

I glared angirly as teh forest begtan to catch fire.

"Teh Voice of teh Forest will not remain." THe voice said solemnly. " When your time for renewal comes, you must look elsewhere. Farewell." It was then a burning log fell onto teh pillar, crushing it into rubble.

"We've got to put out the fire!" Tawny shrieked, backing away from the flames fearfully. "The whole forest will burn to the ground if we don't do something!"

Fire had begun to surround Tawny. She sank down, facing the heat. She cried out in pain as the dry twigs around her feet burned up, burning her skin as well.

I ran over to her and shielded her with my body. Althoguh I was beginning to get burned and it started hurting badly, I knew it wouldn't hurt me as much as Tawny since I was part fire type. " It's going to be okay." I whispered to her comfortingly, even as I gritted my teeth and squinted my eyes to endure the pain. " We'll get through this."

"No!" Tawny cried. "You've got to get out of here! Better one of us dies than both!"

"NO." I said, huddling over her to protect her from the burning embers that were now falling from overhead branches. " All for one and one for all. I will protect you with my life. And as long as I live ou will neer come to harm. NO evil force on Earth will touch you. I promise you that." Even through the pain, I was somewhat suprised by my dedication. Why was I being this way?

SLightly suprised be his statement, Tawny pushed him away. She smiled a bit as she spotted a river.

"We've got to get to the river!" she cried over the roar of the flames.

I felt her push againt me, but I refused to leave her open to the fire. Insteadi I scooped her up and ran to the river. I deposited her carefully on teh bank, looking at the water leerily. Before I wasn't afraid of water, but now that I was a Fire type pokemon I had a feeling the water would hurt even more than the fire did.

Tawny jumped into the water, realizing he was a fire type. (Pogiforce's chara whom I've forgotten the name of) couldn't stand water!

She looked around desperatly. "We'll get out of this somehow," she whispered to him.

Icoudl see the imploring look in her eyes. I looked to the fire behind me and then the river in front. Then with a moment of resolve, I jumped into teh river.

It was teh most painful thing I ever encountered. It felt like I had jumped into a vat of acid instead a river of water. IT burned me painfully, causing a great deal more pain where I had already been burned by the fire. I surfaced gasping for air, Peddlins to teh opposite shore as fast as I could. Teh pain got worse and worse, and I feared I should have no body left when I finally get out.

Tawny swam powerfully to (Pogi's chara whom I still dont' know the name to...). She scooped him up in an arm and finished her blazing swim to the bank. She hauled him up and panted as she heaved herself up onto the dry bank.

ooc: Seth

ic: My vision was becoming blurry and my swimming became choppy as teh pain began to overwhelm me. I wa starting to sink when suddenly I felt something grab a hold of me and pull me to teh safety of teh opposite shore. I breathed heavily as the water trickled off of me, sending revulets of pain running through me. My brathing was ragged, and my senses swam with the sensory overload I was recieving from the amound of water I had come in touch with. I looked up drearily at Tawny, my eyes unable to stay focused, before my head lolled over to the side and I fell unconcious.

"Oh god," Tawny whispered, pulling off her sweatshirt and quickly drying it in the heat of the flames from the opposite shore. She returned to Seth's side and dried him off with the sweatshirt, trying her best to get him to come around.

Her body was sopping, the white beter she wore underneath the black hoodie clung to her as she continued drying Seth off.

"Good, you're awake," Tawny said as she tossed the now sopping hoodie aside. She drew her knees to her chest.

"You shouldn't have done that!" she said over the tops of her knees. "You could have been killed!"

I breathed heavily for a few minutes before I had gathered enoguh strength to speak. "I don't know why I did that." I wheezed. " I guess... I just.... didn't want to leave you all alone." I said finally. "There is nothing worse than being alone."

"I would have escaped unscathed. I knew the river was there!" Tawny grumbled. She sighed. "I'm sorry, I know you just wanted to help. I was just so scared when you passed out like that. If I would have lost you, I never would have forgiven myself..."

The Raichu fusion trailed off, a blush tinging her cheeks.
