"I'm going to clear the area around you. STAY AWAY FROM THE SURFACE for about 4 minutes. We'll rendezvous at the manhole. You'll know when its safe to come up, trust me." read the reply from Clove.

Seeing as the disgustingly horrible sewer wasn't accommodated with seating, Alice was standing, bored stiff, waiting for whatever it was. Her human curiosity was just daring her to see if anyone actually was above her. However, the mission was dangerous, there obviously was someone up there if she had to stay clear.

"If he doesn't come soon I'm gonna flip." she sighed as she thought to herself. Her thoughts were interrupted by a very muffled announcement; it was Clove! She could barely hear a word he was saying.

"Naked asses! Bowler's Cream!!"

"Did I just hear that?!!" The following noise answered her question. she was practically blinded as the terrain above her was ripped away by a massive energy wave of amazingly bright light. "Oooh, something something, Solar Beam, not Bowler's cream." After the chaos was over, Alice wasted no time in climbing the ladder and charging over to her leader's side. She crouched down and threw her arm around him.

"Thank you for that," she told Clove. She'd usually express this gratitude with a kiss on the cheek; but she didn't dare, just in case his face exploded with needles. "Now listen, Blaine* must've been experimenting; I just ran into a Muk-morph, however. There was no physical trace of any human. I heard it say, it was a human brain; inside the body of a Muk." Alice paused for dramatic effect. "Now think, what if they get the brain of a criminal genius inside the body of a Dragonite, it would be more powerful than any Dragonite morph. Now imagine if they do the same to a legendary Pokémon. Not to mention that if they're still experimenting who knows what else they'll achieve? Things are going from terrible to much much much worse!"

OOC:*I didn't make a mistake, I said Blaine, not Brock. I imagine he'd be in charge of the laboratory side of things, being a scientist 'n'all. I'll edit it if you want.

Victor followed the rest of the team towards the center of the city. He heard the Aimpom morph say something about a Muk-morph

"I doubt he is going to use a legendary since those are very hard to find." He slowly corrected. "But a human mind inside a pokemon. That seems more like Science fiction."

"Allright I think we need a plan to get to Brock's gym. How are we going to do it?" He asked Clove. Even though he liked leading people as well he might step on someone's toes if he did it when he wasn't supposed to.

Victor switched on his pokegear. Brock's gym wasn't that far away. However he could already tell there were more pokemorphs coming for them

He quietly listened to the morphs on his team. He was suddenly struck with a change of disposition. He realized the seriousness of the mission. He realizesd his mistake: he depleted too much energy on the bustle of minions. Which brought him to his next thought.

How did Brock get so many minions? He wanted to ask out loud, but didn't want to seem stupid. He just waited until they got to the gym and recieve orders. He hoped he would be at least somewhat regenerized for their final battle in Pewter. (He hoped it was, anyway)

"Would the legendary Pokemon really succumb to the gym leaders, and the elite four though?Once they catch sight of the Pokemorphs, they'll probably high-tail it out of there."Mandi questioned Alice's theory, although the part of placing the brain of a criminal genius into a Pokemon, disturbed her.

"Then again, anything is possible. The legendary Pokemon could see it as a fun challenge, then as a threat to them."A shiver ran down Mandi's spine,as she thought of the destruction it could bring,if such a thing were to succeed.

For the rest of the time,Mandi kept quiet, silently awaiting orders from Clove.

Reid thought about what the Ambipom morph said, if these gym leaders can now make humans completely morph into Pokemon, then they would be even stronger than all we've faced right now...just the thought of this made him shudder, it's almost like they're completely controlling Pokemon, and abusing it's abilites without any regard for the creatures, have trainers really sunk this low just for power?

Reid then noticed the tears in Denx's eyes, probably from using most of his energy on the morphs, he silently got near him, and held out a Paras Mushroom, giving it to him,

"Eat....."

A question came to Victor. Where did the gym leaders get so many minions. Then the answer became obvious

"I suspect that the gym leaders might have kidnapped some trainers and even some civilians and force ably turned them into pokemorphs. It makes sense since these morphs are going into battle. Brock might be tempting them with the ability to become human again if they kill us all."

Victor turned his pokegear on again. The time read 4:27. Damn He thought to himself. He recalled a TV show he normally watched at 4:30 a million years ago.

"I think that if they used a legendary then we would be up against some Entei's and Raikus instead of simple catchable ground pokemon. " He said finally. It made sense since these ground pokemon were very easy to catch and train. "The gym leaders must have used some pokemon from their captured trainers."

"So whats the plan Clove?" He asked the Cacturn. He was curious as to how they were going to take on Brock. Victor knew they didn't have much time to think

"The idea of a legendary Pokemon with a human mind... Frightening," Amy had thought, imagining the idea of a Lugia with the mind of a human. The power of legendaries were normally beyond that of any other Pokemon, and that could possibly mean the end of the PLF as it is, if Blaine succeeded in fusing a human with a legendary. What about more though? An entire army even...? Amy realized that if that happened, the PLF would have to use the same thing as the Gym Leaders in order to fight back.

"But a human mind inside a Pokemon. That seems more like Science fiction," Victor, the Blaziken morph said.

"Well aren't we basically a twisted example of that? A fusion of Pokemon and human mind, body, and soul. Something that could only be conceived first as Science Fiction," Amy replied, before listening to the rest of Alice's information. If this is true, then the situation had changed. To a much more serious one than before.

Clove reached the center rendezvous with the others as slowed to a stop as Alice climbed slowly from the clearly exposed manhole. She wasted no time in rushing to relay the news. Experimentation involving mind swapping with pokemon. The gym leaders are increasing the severity of their experiments just as the PLF had hypothesized. Clove listened farther as his team mates drew lines to the proper conclusions and expressed the level of concern expected. This was definitely just the beginning of the fight. Clove needed a way to refocus on the mission. The news would have to wait for sharing with the PLF until after they were out of harm's way. Clove finally spoke up after being immersed in deep thought over the new developments. He spoke through tired gasps of air from fatigue.

"Theres no time to concern ourselves with the new experiments right now. We have a much bigger problem ahead of us. Brock's gym is less than a mile away. They definitely know we're here and thanks to Alice's work, I have a plan. We're going to split into two groups and do a sneak attack. This is how the layout works. Inside the gym, Brock has 2 Elite guard. These are much stronger than the morphs we've faced up until now. And thanks to Alice, we now know of the sewer system underneath Pewter. Now if all 8 of us ran in together, Brock would simply pick us off with rock blast while his elite guard handled the rest. We're going to split into 2 groups of 4 and go from both angles. One through the sewer and one straight through the front door. The front door group will be lead by me. Since I fired the Solar Beam, i'm the one they should be looking for, leaving room for the others to move with almost no distraction. The front door group will be myself, Jade, Denx, and Amy. The second group will be lead by Victor and will consist of him, Alice, Reid and Mandi. Remember, it will be up to you four to defeat Brock, don't let me down...Does everyone understand their roles? I'll leave inner team strategy decide among you." Clove finished sighing heavily and leaning down on one knee once again, trying to regain more of his strength.

At this point, his fatigue was embarrassingly obvious, but hopefully the teams he designed would be able to at least defeat the gym and give time to rest. All of the 2nd attack team had fighting move capabilities and ways to defend against high power rocks. And his own team, although they all seemed fatigued, should have enough strength for the guard...at least he hoped.

"Okay everyone... thats the plan. Jade, Amy, Denx, come on... we'd better get going. Victor...Alice...Mandi...Reid... I'm counting on you all the most, especially you Victor. You're in charge don't let anything happen to them. Everyone comes back from this alive. Fellow members of the PLF...lets go do our job."

"Okay got it Clove." Victor was glad about the plan. It was one where he was leading.

Victor opened his poke-gear. "Okay the second you attack the two guards we will strike inside the gym. Call me and tell me when Crunch time comes." He said to Clove. Victor spun around towards his teammates.

"Okay here's the plan. We are going to go through the sewer system. Alice you lead since you were already down there. Once we get there Clove is going to tell us when he and his team has distracted the two guards. Once that happens we go inside and take on Brock." He said finally. Victor hoped that they could defeat Brock before something worse could happen.

"Once we are at the gym we are going to have to take on Brock the same time. We all have different strengths that we can manipulate. We can defeat Brock if we work together." Victor pointed at the manhole. "Alright lets go."

Jade swallowed nervously; she was going straight in through the front the door. But she knew why Clove had chosen her to be part of that group. She had brute strength and if there were guards more powerful than what they had just dealt with, the team was in for it. She nodded, watching her leader carefully. Since the moment she met him, Jade had the overwhelming desire to protect this young man. He didn't seem weak, just important.

It was then that Jade noticed Denx and his obvious pain. If they weren't about to go head on into something dangerous, she would have comforted him or something.

"Okay everyone... thats the plan. Jade, Amy, Denx, come on... we'd better get going. Victor...Alice...Mandi...Reid... I'm counting on you all the most, especially you Victor. You're in charge don't let anything happen to them. Everyone comes back from this alive. Fellow members of the PLF...lets go do our job," said Clove.

"Amy," Jade whispered to her teammate, "We need to watch each others backs, you know? We're all getting out of there alive." She wasn't commanding; in fact, Jade needed to say it out loud so that she believed it herself.

"Understood."Mandi was glad she wasn't chosen as a team leader, her leadership skills were, for lack of a better word, terrible.

"Okay here's the plan. We are going to go through the sewer system. Alice you lead since you were already down there. Once we get there Clove is going to tell us when he and his team has distracted the two guards. Once that happens we go inside and take on Brock."

"Can the four of us really take on Brock by ourselves? We may know moves that can attack his weakness,but..."Mandi shook her head, smiling towards the three in her group.

"No,we can definitely do this,if we work together."Mandi shook the anxiety, and doubt from her head, and prepared herself to go inside the sewers.

"Although,I could do without going through the sewers."She chuckled to herself gently,as she climbed down into the manhole, trying not to gag.

Denx noticed some glances from the teammates. The mushroom he was munching on seemed to numb the worst of the pain. It must have some weak paralysis spores on it or something. He looked down at his tail, and it was slowly coming back to shape.

"The front door group will be myself, Jade, Denx, and Amy." he heard out of Clove's mouth. He cursed under his breath.

"How am I going to take them on through the front?" he wondered to himself. He was really in no mood to argue, as most of Clove's plans seemed to run smoothly, for the most part. He started to plan in his head, but would ditch that plan if Clove had another one.

Since he had no real advantage (a disadvantage, if anything), he decided he would just distract the guards with bright flashes of electricity, or zoom around them with quick attack.

"Seriously, what am I? A Plusle or something?" he thought. He felt like a cheerleader when he thought of his plan, but remembered his moves meant nothing. He followed the group, his tail feeling numb. At least the main pain was gone.

He neared the Lucario morph known as Reid and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Thank you sooo much. That thing took the pain away." he gratefully thanked Reid.

For now, he followed his companions, Jade, Clove, and Amy.

"I doubt he is going to use a legendary since those are very hard to find." Victor explained to Alice, as if the news she presented was nothing.

"Are you sure about that, in the past one hundred years six of these so called 'legendary Pokémon' -Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and the three Legendary Beasts of Johto- have become statistically more common," Alice explained. "Over the past three and a half years, four Moltres were spotted and a Suicune was captured by a girl from Johto, anyway that's not the point; this is big news, they're experimenting, who knows what else they could achieve!"

I'll leave inner team strategy decide among you." Clove responded. It was true that the Chief could be informed of the experiments later, but it was still a very serious issue.

"Sir," Alice nodded her head towards the Cacturne morph. He looked increasingly fatigued and needed all the help he could get.

"To be honest, Denx would be better off with us, he doesn't seem too strong, not to mention the fact that his electric attacks are virtually powerless against Brock's drones; and he looks fatigued. There's water in the sewer, he could aide us greatly down there, the water combined with his electricity could probably wipe out all the Pokémon and Pokémorphs down there." Alice thought to herself. "I hope Clove knows what he's doing with this... should I say something?"

"Clove, I thi-" Alice started. "Don't be stupid; he's taking Denx for a reason." Alice paused. "Nevermind, good luck everyone."

"Okay here's the plan. We are going to go through the sewer system. Alice you lead since you were already down there. Once we get there Clove is going to tell us when he and his team has distracted the two guards. Once that happens we go inside and take on Brock."

"Uhh, some leader, he needs to think more... I obviously haven't actually gone underneath the fortress, or anywhere near it, considering I just got out of the sewers here,"... "Yes Sir," Alice responded; and with no further talk, she started to climb back down into the sewer.

OOC: Ooooh, this is getting gewwwd. By the way, just like to remind people that Italics equal blod, so Alice isn't insulting anyone; and Nerevarine, those were Alice's thoughts, not mine. xD

OOC: I know what Italics mean, I use them myself. It makes for good theater

Victor lowered himself into the sewer. He wasn't all that disgusted from the raw sewage floating around. He was more nauseated from the smell of it all.

They began walking down a specific path. Until it split into two more paths. Victor quickly opened his pokegear and checked his map. Brock's gym was more north and they were currently facing east.

Then Victor heard a great hissing. He turned and saw it was coming from the path facing the west.

"Somethings coming." Victor said pointing to the path to the west. It was completely shrouded in darkness. It was a terrain he never fought in before.

"Alright. Reid cast a Force Palm down that tunnel when the hissing gets loud enough or we find some contact."

He turned to Mandi "Mandi once the battle starts teleport behind them and use an attack." He knew Mandi's was a little simple but it was all he could think on short notice. Victor turned to Alice and began to think of an attack. However something about Alice seemed to have stopped him.

"Alice... send a water pulse down the sewage. Whatever is coming might be walking in it." Victor said slowly. He turned around towards the pitch black tunnel where the hissing was coming from

Clove walked slowly towards the gym as the others began to follow suit. The other team slowly crawled down into the manhole towards their destination. It would only be a matter of time before this time of calm was over. He looked to the now much smaller team to offer the his tactical plan.

"So what i have planned is this... the odds are stacked that Brock's elite guard will be rock and ground type. Unfortunately we're all close ranged at the moment since i wont be able to fire a solar beam indoors. The reason i picked this particular matchup is so we can attack in a certain formation. I want Amy and Denx to attack the same target and Jade and I to attack the other. This way, Amy can at least soak the guards enough to make them vulnerable to electricity, which is where Denx comes in. Jade will use her raw strength and i'll move in with my needles and attack when possible. If all goes well it should go off without a hitch. Remember to not hold anything back, these guys are built for defense." Clove instructed his team. He was beginning to to catch his breath now and might be able to move a bit more freely in battle, although the side effects from the blast were long from gone.

Approaching the main entrance of the gym, he stumbled a bit, quickly regaining his footing. He stood up straight, trying to play off the fatigue once more as his eyes narrowed on the door.

"behind that door is pretty much a mystery... the guard could be anything. We'll have to be prepared...", Clove thought to himself. He stopped short of the main entrance, staring it down through his slim yellow eyes. He inhaled deeply then began to pull the massive stone door open. Soon it would be time to finally liberate Pewter.

As Amy listened to Clove's orders, she had noticed that the others in her group were tired and weakened. The fact that this team was to barge through the front doors was another thing, since most likely they'd be the target unless the second team gets there first. Due to this, Amy hoped Clove knew what he was doing. A team of fatigued fighters won't do very good against a Gym Leader, let alone a morphed one.

"Okay everyone... thats the plan. Jade, Amy, Denx, come on... we'd better get going. Victor...Alice...Mandi...Reid... I'm counting on you all the most, especially you Victor. You're in charge don't let anything happen to them. Everyone comes back from this alive. Fellow members of the PLF...lets go do our job." Clove ordered, as he lead the group to Pewter's Gym, most likely having a lot of morphs awaiting them.

"Amy," Jade, the Tyranitar morph, whispered to her teammate, "We need to watch each others backs, you know? We're all getting out of there alive."

"Don't worry that much. I'm pretty much support for a move I can use known as Wish... So hopefully no one will die... Still, don't let your guard down," Amy whispered back, as she followed the rest of the group. Victor, Alice, Reid and Mandi proceeded to head down the sewers, by the time she had started moving. Right now, she just focused on staying with the group. After a couple of minutes, the group had proceeded to the gym, where Clove explained why he had picked the formation. Supposedly, it was to counter each other's weaknesses and attack in pairs. Jade and Clove attacked together, while Denx and Amy attacked together. Hopefully, it would work.

Clove, still tired from the Solar Beam, tried to pull the stone door open, in an attempt to get one step closer to Brock. Anything could be behind there, and that was what Amy was worried about, if it wasn't even a Rock-type.

"He knows our attacks? He must've read our profiles throughly, he commands well too; maybe he's a better leader and thinker than I originally gave him credit for. Or he's throwing out random orders and hoping for the best." After she tore herself away from her thoughts she decided to do exactly what she was 'requested'. Her Ambipom hands started to glow a very pale, neon-blue colour; absorbing moisture from the air. She thrust them forwards, shooting out a ring of water which eventually turned into a small 'tidal' wave, this shot off down into the sewage. After a few seconds a splash could be heard echoing down the pipe.

"It hit something. The hissing noise is more than likely going to be an Ekans, Arbok or Seviper; either that or one of their respective morphs. If it's a morph; don't hold back, if it's a Pokémon, show it some mercy," Alice told the group. She hated issuing 'orders' and tried her best to make it sound like a plea; but she felt too strongly for Pokémon rights. "Come on, let's get closer."

"It makes perfect sense, now!" he said, somewhat quietly. He had silenced his tone a bit since his first "meeting" with Clove.

"I hope Amy has enough in her to at least douse these guys" he thought. Then he remembered seeing what most water Pokemon were capable of with his battle against Misty about 2 years ago. He looked quickly at Amy, but focused his attention promptly on Clove. The door slowly pushed open, and Denx could hardly hold his excitement.

He hoped it was Rock Type- even if it was a water type, he'd be more familiar fighting the Rock type in this scenario. He dreaded to think of an Onix morph, though. He started to wonder how much easier this would be with the huge Charizard morph.

"Mandi once the battle starts teleport behind them and use an attack."

Mandi just nodded in response, placing one foot forward,to prepare for whatever the creature could be.She turned her head over quickly to see Alice already using Water Pulse on,whatever it was.

"It hit something. The hissing noise is more than likely going to be an Ekans, Arbok or Seviper; either that or one of their respective morphs. If it's a morph; don't hold back, if it's a Pokémon, show it some mercy,"

Mandi focused on collecting energy,to use teleport and an attack at the same time, she wasn't sure if it was a morph,or a regular Pokémon, but, she made sure to not make her attack, too powerful, holding back as much energy as she could.Quickly disappearing from sight, and appearing somewhat, close behind the creature, hidden by the shadows,Mandi shot a quick Shadow Ball at it.

"It's still not coming out?"Mandi hissed at the perseverance of the creature, obviously, whatever it was,it didn't want to be seen.

She was ready, but she wasn't sure Clove was. She liked his idea of them teaming up, she knew exactly what she was going to do. She saw a lightbulb, metaphorically speaking, appear about Denx's head. I'm glad the kid found some confidence "Let's do this"
