Pokerus-Rare Pokemon Disease

I got it twice on Pearl/ One was through a trade, then, ironicallly enough, I was randomly infected a few days later.
 
I have got it 3 times. Lucky me. The weird thing was that I got it twice within the space of 2 hours, because I was doing challenges, got Pokerus, finished challenge, started another, got it again. The most recent time was when I was showing my friend how to EV train, and suddenly I check my pokemons stats, and BAM! There was pokerus.
 
I have got pokerus a few times thru out the generation and have had pokemon traded to me which have had it.
 
I first got it in my Sapphire version. I had no idea what it was. First my Blaziken caught it, then my Delcatty, and it kept spreading throughout my team and I was freaking out. My friends didnt know what it was either so they told me that my game is going to crash. That is something you never, ever tell a 9 year old. Then many years later I found out that it is a good thing. Damn.
 
I was playing through my SS again for fun with a flawless Totodile and Skorupi that I rng'd on my HG and then when I was grinding to evolve skorupi outside Goldenrod, it picked up pokerus, and i got real mad, cause my whole Pokemon experience I have never caught/seen a shiny besides Red Gyra :/
