2nd Gen PokeRus

Well, I've been working with all my Pokemon, but still, Blissy has the most HP. My Dragonite has already been cured of PokeRus and now it has a pixel above its HP on the status. Here are the stats of the Pokemon that I am currently trying to work with:

*Umbreon lv.90 (m) 334 HP
ATK: 196, DEF: 272, SPLA: 175, SPLD: 179, SPD: 179
*Tyranitar lv.83 (f) 317 HP
ATK: 273, DEF: 247, SPLA: 210, SPLD: 219, SPD: 153
*Pikachu lv.81 (f) 205 HP
ATK: 147, DEF: 113, SPLA: 141, SPLD: 124, SPD: 201
*Blissey lv.70 (f) 641 HP
ATK: 058, DEF: 074, SPLA: 156, SPLD: 240, SPD: 122
*Clefable lv.63 (f) 238 HP
ATK: 127, DEF: 139, SPLA: 155, SPLD: 161, SPD: 126
*Murkrow lv.61 (m) 185 HP
ATK: 152, DEF: 103, SPLA: 139, SPLD: 087, SPD: 144

yeah, i use the elite 4 method. I started a new game on my gold and now i have a crocanaw lv. 22, pidgeotto lv. 22, gastly lv. 22, and a magikarp lv. 22... hopefully poke rus will come before i have to leave Violet City...
 
i'm very patient in training my pokemon. if i try hard enough i can get them to fourty before Goldenrod... my gastly is shiney XD. only a matter of time until i run into the virus...

I have never been so lucky to get either a shiny bar the red garados and the virus you 2 are lucky tell me how to get both
 
well, to get pokerus (my method) is to go to where Bug Catcher Arnie is and catch Yanma until you get one. [be patient!] make sure you gotta long attention span. Shineys appear 0.0001 of the time in the wild.
 
so, you guys want to know how the pokerus actually works? it's not that difficult, really.
ever find a lucky egg on a Chansey? if a pokemon holds that, then they'll get extra exp. points after each fight. pokerus is like that, except with points that you don't see.
you're familiar with rare candies. then you might know that using rare candies is not as effective as training a pokemon through battles. the reason is that each time you battle, you get two types of points. one is based on experience, and one is called an EV. each pokemon has a certain number of given points for each stat, a max number they can reach (by the way, your blissey will never get up to 900 hp, the most it can get is 713). depending on how much this point is for each stat, your pokemon's stats will go up accordingly at the end of each level. the more, say, Graveler you fight, the higher your final defense will be. fought a lot of Chansey? hp goes up a lot quicker. get it?
so, when you get the pokerus, whichever pokemon has it will get double those points while training. so each level they raise, their stats will go up by more points than typical. the only thing i really don't know is how to increase your chances of contracting the pokerus in the first place.

what? Pokerus is an ingame "disease" that doubles your EV intake. You get it by catching a pokemon that has it and it spreads through your entire team.
 
Pokerus? Hmm... I heard of it, but never got it. =\
I never get anything...XP Shinys, Pokerus, Legends (Always knocks them out. *smack*)

OOC: lol, sorry to hear about that. i always make Entei, Suicune, Raikou faint. You know, the ones in the wild.

IC: Pokerus found in my latest Gold game! I had to catch 62 Yanma to get it. Time to train!

(I know... Suicune was caught once in silver, but then I left my game outside in the winter and all data was deleted. XD I keep knocking out Mewtwo with my weakest Pokemon at the end of the game, it's usually level... 92? XD)

Oh, and 62 Yanma is alot! X.X I never catch more than one... hmm.... XD And if I do this time around; (I restarted due to legends...) I would probably catch 657 and no PokeRus with my luck.
 
well just keep trying. i hate training.
