ABOUT ME


Hi everyone I am Demonheadge.

I have worked on many things to keep me occupied while playing Runescape and ranging from videos on youtube, drawing and even game making.

This last project I was working on was known simply as 2D-Scape.
It was a game I made in GameMaker and it made it's way to the ALPHA-BETA Stage before I stopped that project.



Now I am working on a new game! Well hack... This game is a hack of Pokemon FireRed for the GBA and is playable on emulators! You can trade between this game and the non-hacked versions if you wish.

ABOUT THE GAME


-The hack is based of Runescape. (duh)

-The storyline consists of the Black and White Knights tieing into the Godwars dungeon lore. (I'm not super lorey but I will try my best.)

-All "Pokemon" will be changed into Runescape Monsters/Pets with all new moves & stats.

All NPC's are going to be named after Players or a character in Runescape, by contributing you might get added into the game!

I would like to get the community involved to make this a great fan game!

WHAT I HAVE DONE SO FAR

I've Scripted the the beginning of the game so you can obtain your first RuneMon!

I am about 35% progress into the first part of the storyline.




I've Added trainer sprites of:
- White Knight
- Black Knight
- Sir Amik Varze

- (Player) Henkco


I've Added overworld sprites of:
- White Knight
- Black Knight
- Sir Amik Varze (front sprite only)
- Sir Tiffy Cashin (front sprite only)
- Falador Guard (front sprite only)


I've Added RuneMon sprites of:
- Baby Goblin
- Goblin
- Scorpion
- K'ril Tsutsaroth

One of the problems I am having when adding new tiles is things go all pixelly, i'm not sure why...

These are all temp tiles due to not having any made, the hedge's are actually statues.

Here are 6 Screenshots, I hope these are acceptable, I know my progress isn't that far in but it will be in time.

Hello everyone!

This is my first time posting anything and my first project! So apologizes in advance for the extreme noobyness.

GOAL
So my project is called PokeScape.
It's a mash-up of Pokemon and an MMO Game called Runescape.
My goal for this game is to get an area in Runescape called "GODWARS DUNGEON" into the game, with roaming monsters and Bosses.
It's a smallish area, and I thought I would focus on that more than a whole region, seeing as I've only had roughly 6 days experience (all up 24 hours).

I've gotten a few basics down like how to add Dialog, give items, Pokemon, change trainers pokemon, etc.
But I'm still trying to learn a few things like scripting steps, Adding Fakemons, changing music, changing sprites.



Story
The Story would be along the lines of:


Short/Medium:
Your mission is to investigate the Godwars Dungeon as a member of the White Knight's and defeat the rival Black Knight's along the way.
Discover Bosses which each hold a piece of the Legendary Godsword! One of the most powerful weapons known to man.
Stop the Godwars, protect cities from the Black Knight's and above all else! DON'T LET THE GODSWORD FALL INTO THE WRONG HANDS!

To progress though the Dungeon you will need HM's which are obtained though playing the Story mode.
You can still use Training Spots in the Dungeon to train your Pokemon.

TL'DR:
- Become a member of the White Knight's
- Explore the Godwars Dungeon
- Defeat Enemy Team: Black Knight's
- Obtain the Godsword before the Black Knight's



Long:

- Explore the land of Gileinor (New Region)
- Defeat 8 Gyms
- Stop the Gods from Returning to the World.






Project
I've almost mapped everything out but I'm having a hard time changing sprites of the game.
(Don't get me started on making them....)

So if anyone could help me out by providing me with guides or just some info/help with sprites I'd be forever grateful!

The first sprite of the fakemon is pretty good! Keep on processing your ideas though. They seem vague at the moment, but you can bring this hack some more progress the more you develop an idea of what you want it to be.

Oh wow. Your first post. Well, it's not good but it's not bad either. I'm saying that the idea you've come up with is great but you need a lot to work on. Like the sprites and your mapping. Might be not that good yet but you'll improve as you move forward. Good luck on this!

I don't know about le chat rooms but there are some and I forgot. But for discussing look at here and for problems and help here.

As for the hack, I really like the concept you chose (as a member of RuneScape and player of OSRS). But, I think you should look over a few mapping tutorials, and things will really look a lot better. Also, don't post screenshots like the one with Daisy on the waterfall, it's not realistic. Hack a Pokémon with Surf if you really wanna :P

Yeah I've got to update the screenshots.
I can make pretty good maps but at the time of uploading I had to throw something together to meet the 6 picture requirement.

I've always thought about doing a hack like this(I'm an avid RS player myself), but I could never think up of a good enough way to include the skills that RuneScape has, as I feel it's an integral part of the game's essence.

BTW, are you from Tumblr, by chance? Because I know both Prezleek and Ashindice, so I was curious as to their cameos.
