page... ****.. sorry

I post it now

<Silver>We were attacked by the masked man and fell into the Lake of Rage but a shadowy figure saved us

Not only did the shadow bring us here, it created fire to keep us warm

This isn't a normal fire.
It's almost like a Fire of Life, giving us back life.

And whoever made the fire
Has disappeared.

Come to think of it,
While we were unconscious, I did feel like we were being watched and protected

<this is where the fire goes out>

Hello everyone! I'm really interested in reading the scanlations of Volume 25,26 and 27. I have the raw mangas for all of these (I went on a manga splurge while I was in Japan though right now I can only read the hiragana and katakana without understanding what half the words mean -_-). Chuang Yi has released 25 and 26 recently, but I don't live in Singapore and it's really really expensive with the shipping and everything....

Is there anyone here specifically who would be interested in translating these? I don't mind doing the editing...though of course any help would be appreciated...I use PSP.

That sounds great, you only have to do is upload all RAWS, and we edit and translate them. I can edit your scans and other members can translate. I hope you like the idea :D

Hmm...if I don't sound too fussy...do you think I could try editing myself, with someone's translation here? I've always wanted to try it, and if after 1 chapter it looks unbearable/takes far too long, I'll hand it over to the pros, no probs =D

I'll scan and clean up the first chapter of 25 today then...should I just post the RAW scans in a .zip file or something for someone to translate?

Thanks!

^That would be awesome. I'm sure a ton of people are dying to see them!

@darkcowboy: QC. WE NEED QC LIKE CRAZY ZOMG. If you think you have a better-than-average grasp on grammar and a good eye for design, we could really, really appreciate having a second pair of eyes to make sure that our releases are high enough quality. Cleaning is great, too

@ladygalaxy: *_* AWESOME!! That would be most excellent. Also, if you're looking to edit (do you mean scan cleaning or typesetting?) https://www.questie.com/manga/ScanEditGuide/editing.htm is a good guide. But since scanning is already so much effort, it's cool (and actually a little better) if we spread the tasks out more, just so we don't have to rely on one person at a time.

AND! I have made some changes to the typeset version of Volume 12, Chapter 1, and made a release: https://www.mediafire.com/?5ntyyzd9bkj . I have NOT had a QC after making the changes, so it COULD VERY WELL STILL HAVE ERRORS IN IT. However, because 1) so many people are pushing us to go faster and 2) no one seems to want to QC, this is the best we can do for this rate. I do want to continue to stress the importance of QC; the preliminary typeset quite naturally had some typos and awkward phrasing, which is why we REALLY need to have good QCers, and there's a reason that we've been taking our time with this. This release could have been made as early as almost TWO WEEKS earlier if we could have gotten a good QC. I'm just saying. Omni89 has been busy and Willer takes odd chapters, so we really needed a temp volunteer; I had to quit cleaning to step in and do it, and I couldn't spend that much time on it anyway. I guess the thing I'm trying to push is this: if you are pissed that we're going so slowly, then please help us QC!

Okay, attached are the next 5 pages. Some things kind of got in the way... the worst was probably someone tripping the fire alarm at 2am. XD;;;

Err... >-<

Heh, anyways, is there anyone willing to typeset volume 22? I'll do it, if nobody else will, but I have a slow computer and Photoshop hates me. ^^'

I can translate (in fact, I have 25 and 26), when I'm done with volume 22. I don't wanna do a lot of scanning though... I have an HP scanner-thing, and a mac. HP and macs don't go well together... the driver is slow and takes up CPU even when it isn't doing anything, and the scanning program (HP Scan Pro) hates me even more than Photoshop. >_>

I have some time to QC this weekend, I'll see what I can do.

Erm, hello there. I've been following this thread for a while now, and have been hesitant to step in to offer help. But I'm fairly sure I could offer regular quality control, having a good grasp on the English language and grammar (and Photoshop ... I'd assume that would help).
Up for having me?

That would be excellent, vampirepeaches, thank you so much. Can you please QC https://www.mediafire.com/?0d24jyn9zpn ? We need grammar fixed, and you can adjust some text formatting if there are issues there. Afterwards, I'll slap on the credit page and do a quick final check. Thanks!!

@benji: I can typeset for you; I only have 1 more chapter to clean, then I really want to focus on typesetting.

kk.

where do i find releases and such, so that i can QC them.

Is there any chapters that need typesetting?

Sorry for the lack of .psds for chapter one. T_T My computer was having keyboard problems (couldn't even type!) and when I did system restore, it got rid of some files.

Hey, I've QC'd volume 12, chapter 2. There are just two things that I couldn't figure out. On the double page spread (2-3) there are a number of small, blank white boxes. Is text meant to be in there, or is that intentional ... ? The second is on page 5, with a white explosion in the top middle. It looks like text is meant to be there, although I could be mistaken. Otherwise, I've corrected minor grammatical errors. Here's the link - well, I tried to upload the link, but I haven't enough posts. Remove the spaces ... (www . mediafire . com / ?cnncfmk3vzb)
Is there anything else that needs doing at all? I can do most, bar translating. My Japanese is the basic four years, and takes me an eternity.

@minakichan: I looked over the final typeset for chapter 143:

Page 2 - "Oy! Are you alright?" -- the question mark is on its own line. Not that it's a problem, but it's a quality thing. =D

Page 9 - There's still Korean text in Whitney's talk bubble. ^^'

@vampirepeaches: Yes, apparently there was text... these lines were not translated by Junky, though. Junky, can you translate those boxes on the second page?

@Kumori: Vereux was having trouble with the typeset, so I don't know if he's tackled chapters 4 or 5.

@Vereux: Can I get a status report? What chapters from 3-5 are you working on; which are completed and which have not been started?

@vampirepeaches: Thanks so much~ I'll get it release-ready in the evening. As for offering to translate, right now we're working Korean translations, and benji is translating our one Japanese volume. If we get more Japanese volume scans, I might ask for help ^^

@benji: Haha, the ? was kind of a stylistic choice, but if it bugs you, I can fix it. (And "alright" isn't proper English! whoops.) As for the Korean in the bubble, those were SFX that still remained, and I was kind of debating whether to take them out or not. I can do so if you think it'd be better.

@Willer: Right now, Vereux0 is working on the next chapters we need typeset.
