So my friend totally went on a spree and completely scanned 13 today. He'll probably do 14 soon as well. Also I removed the pass (even though it's in my post) and reuploaded volume 12 on mediafire - did the same for 13 (Originally mega with pass), links at end of post. Again you'll need to remove the space between the c and o in com. Also you can use his links in the release topic, and credit them to Happy Mask Man.

My friend said that PNG doesn't look any different than GIF and just made the file ridicuously huge. The blurriness isn't caused by the format, it's because it's not on the surface of the scanner.
 
GIF is lossy, meaning that the picture quality drops with each save. PNG is worth the file size.
 
Ahh~ I re-saved in PNG and saved 100 KB. ;D

I guess maybe your friend was scanning in 32-bit color ("Millions of Colors") or something... meh. Doesn't really matter, GIF is fine (I'm just used to PNG). ^^

Just bopping in to say thanks to y'all. Even for the chapters that you didn't personally translate, I owe you a debt of gratitude. It's horribly difficult for someone like me, not integrated into the fa community to find links to downloads. By consolidating the links here, you've made my year. I've been pining away for the GSC and the FR/LG sagas for a while. I've a plan to make a pokespecial doujinshi which takes place a little after FR/LG, you see, and I've read the summaries I need to get the plot down...but in order to feel comfortable drawing/writing it accurately, I wanted to read all the comic pages themselves. Y'all are close to making my fannish dream a reality. So, mega thanks.
 
Wats this volume 13 and 14 that's flyikng around... is it the non translated version or are they scanned version ...?
 
GAH.
My scanner has just...
STOPPED WORKING. And so has the program on my computer needed for it to work...TAKING THE WHOLE HALF VOLUME OF SCANS WITH IT (It was saved in the program, and now I can't freaking OPEN it.)

Don't think I need to explain just HOW pissed I am right now. If I did, this post would go on forever. Don't worry, I will be buying a new one and re-scanning everything but...just a heads up that the Volume 25 and 26 scans are going to be delayed by like. A lot...maybe a couple of weeks for both volumes to be completely finished? Coz I have to save up for the scanner/schoolwork is preparing to drown me under.

@ benji: I guess my timing will match yours then...silver lining of the cloud? -_-

@minakichan: Don't worry I'll still be working on the Korean SFX translations. I'm up to about image 012 already...I'll try and post about 5 chapters at a time so whoever's editing has enough material to work with per session ^.^ Btw how should I post the translations? Word document? Straight to the forum? Any specific criteria?

I'll try and get the first 5 chaps of volume 12 sfx translations up by this weekend.
 
Alright guys, my friend finished scanning the last chapters of 12 last night since he put them up on our boards around 2-3am EST, but for some reason he hasn't uploaded them in a rar yet (Which I honestly don't get since it takes like < 2 minutes of his time then just leaving his computer on...) so I'll post again when the rar's up whenever that is.

OK! Gigantic craziness of doom.

For obvious reasons, we are going to be dropping volumes 12 and 13.
@ladygalaxy: Thank you for your offer to translate the SFX! However, since Chuang-Yi versions already have the SFX in English, we won't need to do a re-release. (and good luck with your scanner!! we'll be ready and willing to clean and typeset when you're done.)

@Junky56: ^^; Heh, I think you got caught out of the loop. Nightwizard's friend has just scanned in volume 12 and 13, and will be scanning volume 14. Unfortunately... this means that our work in those volumes is pulled out from under us. I really appreciate all the hard work you put into translating, and I'm sincerely sorry it had to end this way ;_____;

@omni89 WELCOME BACK! ^_____^ Thanks for your motivational speech (lawl), it totally made ME feel better lawl.

Orders of business:
-We have already figured that ladygalaxy will be providing scans for volumes 25 and 26, and benji will be translating. Both will probably take a while, seeing as there are scanner complications and such. At that point, we may need cleaners and typesetters, but it may be a little early to talk about.
-We do have a Chinese raw for a pretty LQ volume 23. It has some watermarks (from a Chinese site, pm222.com), so... we can try to ask permission from the posters at pm222 (or uh, we could just do it >_>). The site also has some of volume 24, so we would ideally be able to fill in that hole. The scans are already leveled and would only need minimal cleaning. We'd also need a Chinese translator; my Chinese is not terribly hot, but if no one else can/ is willing, I can do it.

It's funny how I can read more Japanese than I can Chinese now. And I'm native Chinese, and born in Beijing. *cries*

I'll help you on the Chinese, since I speak fluently, if you need. (I sorta wanted to take AP Chinese... *fails at life*)

And, we're still continuing with volume 22? Right?

@ladygalaxy: What brand of scanner? XD Maybe I could help.
 
All this situation is so weird, but amazing for scans. Anyway I can follow clean the scans we don´t have now [22, 25, 26 and more xD] Count with me ;)
 
Ah, Avegaille has said that she hasn't bought 22 yet, but plans to. We do have scans of volume 22, but I think we need a larger consensus to decide if we're going to go ahead with it, considering that there's a high chance that she's going to scan it.
 
We could clean the english scans. Make them easier to read.

It's all good. Easier work for you guys anyhow. Just let me know if ther's any more Korean Volumes that might need to be translated =P

@ benji: it was HP...but it's okay. I've been wanting a new one anyway =)

Actually, if you guys are having a lot of trouble with getting the chinese volume 23, I have the Chuang Yi one (Volume 24 as well) so that you can focus on 25+. Obviously I'd be focusing on 25 and 26 first, so the scanlation team can start working asap, but lemme know if you do need help for that.

no don't worry about it. and i haven't been to megaupload b4 so my computer will probably have issues with that too... i swear it has issues with the internet all together XD
 
I'm not trying to sound ungrateful, and I REALLY appreciate what you guys are doing, but is it possible to have a low-res version of the volumes. See, I have dial-up and it downloads at an average of 2 KB/SECOND (that's UNBELIEVABLY slow) and the 70 MB volumes cal literally take ten hours. I understand if you can't, but I would really appreciate it if this is possible.
 
Yes! We're just waiting on 14 now for the rest of the G/S/C arc. I hope it comes soon.
