4th Gen Possible Glitch on Platinum GTS...?

    OK, so I searched for a Dialga to trade on the GTS. Sumone said that he/she wanted a Porygon2. I had a Porygon2, and I couldn't trade it! I then searched for Electivire. There was a Lv.100 Electivire who said he/she wanted a Manaphy, I had a Manaphy, but I STILL couldn't trade it! I tried trading for a Bidoof and someone wanted a Staraptor, STILL NO GOOD!!!!! Has this happened to anyone b-fore? Please Help!
     
    Perhaps some sort of faulty connection? Check all the possible faults before waving your hands in the air and shouting "GLITCH!!! GLITCH!!!1!!11!1!1!"

    happens to me too.

    Tried trading Espeon for Porygon2, and i had espeon and it didnt let me trade

    The guy wanted a Female one, i had a female one, but it didnt let me trade. it was the right level too
     
    That happens because you Pokemon doesn't meet all the specifications, such as gender, level, but the more prominent one, where the Pokemon is coming from. If you check all the details of the Pokemon being traded, you will find most people only want Pokemon from their own region.
     
    Thats not a glitch. Its just the level that doesn't fit. They probably want it Lv.100.
     
    They either want a certain level or certain gender.

    Some people are picky ;)
     
    This IS a glitch, I think, and only some platinum games have it. It shows you what pokemon the other person wants, but it doesn't show you the requirments. That's why I don't use the GTS (I don't know what level/genders the other people want! :/)
     
    I've had this happen to me plenty of times. Dunno what to do about it. Usually if there isn't a gender specified I won't be able to trade for it.
     
    I have had this happen to me as well. I will have matched everything that they asked for, and yet, I couldn't trade with them. There are a few things that could be wrong.

    1. Region. I don't know how you set the region when offering. If you can, that could be the problem.

    2. They already traded it. Yes, it is possible that while you were getting the trade set up, someone else was a bit faster with the selection, and the trade is already underway. Sadly, the GTS does not notify you or automatically update the list on your DS.

    3. Bad card. There was a problem where people were unable to trade on the first 1000+ game cards that went out. Nintendo had them send their games back in, and fixed the problem. This should not be the case if you recently bought yours, or have got your game 3 months after the game was released.
