4th Gen Possible Pokégear features

The Daycare checker is totally useful, to me, and other breeders as well.

I really think they'll keep the old Poke Gear, maybe add some new cards, but just update it with a new interface

my favorite feature of the old G/S/C was the Phone calls, i loved it cause they would always notify you if they wanted to battle, Saw rare pokemon (Swarms), or Found an item so i really hope they bring that back

Me too. I liked when Fisher Ralph told me about the swarm of Quilfish in the game. I liked when the trainers called to remind you rather than having to go all the way to someone's house (in DPP) and ask someone what the swarm is today. Pokegear is awesome. :) My favorite pokegadget. ^_^

I wonder if now the phone will be like the pal pad, and the phone numbers would be friend codes?

I don't really know about that because what about all the others such as your mom calling you?

Anyways, I hope they make some helpful pokegear features that we'd actually use.

I liked my mom calling me.
I liked her, she saved my money! Of course, I don't mind her calling once in a while.
Disco pokegear would be cool.
Or... maybe a notes page to write stuff down, that doesn't erase when you go off it and has several pages.
I know I sometimes forget to do stuff and if I had a notes page I wouldn't miss out on stuff.

They should keep the calling feature in the gear, because I completely agree that when your mom calls and tells you how much money you've saved it is a really nice thing to know. Along with other needed and known information.

I'd like it if the Pokegear had a microphone feature where you could record voice messages for your personal use. It would make some good use of the DS's microphone, I think.
Also, it'd be nice if there was a 'Do not Disturb' feature and two sets of phone numbers: important ones like Mom, Elm and gym leaders and another one for optional trainers to inform you of in-game swarms. You could apply the 'Do not Disturb' feature to the trainer number set so that way everyone's satisfied.

You have some interesting ideas for the 'Gear, and I wouldn't mind seeing someof them added on into the game either. I agree with you on the microphone idea though, they should definitely find some way to put it into more of a use.

Making good use of the microphone would be a good idea. Although I would want it to be something where you wouldn't have to say something long, as your message in the microphone could sound really weird and the game might not understand it.

They could have a time limit for it, like 30 seconds or something. Although really I don't think anyone would or should be using the pokegear to record read out loud novels. :P

Time limit would be a good idea. Either 30 seconds or a minute would be nice for a pokegear microphone feature.

More Radio Stations would be lovely <3;

The Pokegear is an awesome gadget, but i think it needs a better name, I mean pokegear, the word itself seems rather childish, but so were many gbc and gb games. now pokemon games are more realistic, like the pokedex entries in DPP. Anyways, yea the pokegear is very useful it's kinda like the pokenav in emerald.

I liked the phone calls...and the radio. I personally liked the Pokegear better than all the other gadgets. (Despite the lack of features, I liked the look and simplicity of it.) The poketch (however you pronounce it) had waaay too many apps, IMO, and it took forever to go to the app you wanted. I didn't like the Pokenav either. Too much going on.

Besides, some of the trainers in GS called to inform you about a swarm. (That was better than having to always fly to Sandgem town to ask your rival's sister about a swarm.), In Crystal, some trainers called you to tell you that they found an evolution stone. I liked getting them for free rather than paying for one. (I don't want to pay money to evolve my pokemon.)

I would like for them to add more radio stations and allow a little more than 10 phone numbers, but not too much. Maybe a teachy tv would be a good thing to add to the pokegear...? Idk.

Although I agree for the most part, paying for pokemon evolutions isn't that big of a deal since money is practically useless after you've beaten the game.

The swarm calls were pretty good though, I strongly agree.
