Post a teammate for the Pokemon above

I thought of a forum game that might be a fun way to casually test your team-building skills. The idea is to post a Pokemon that has good synergy with the Pokemon in the last post. Then the next person will post a teammate for the Pokemon that you posted, and so on. Think of it as creating a bunch of 2-Pokemon cores. Defensive cores are fine too.

The only rule is to leave a sentence or two that explains why it's a good teammate. You don't need to put a lot of thought into it! It's just a game, so basic reasoning is fine.

Use Smogon's Strategy Pokedex if you need a moveset.

For example:

Spoiler:

To start:

[PokeCommunity.com] Post a teammate for the Pokemon above

Kartana @ Fightinium Z
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Sacred Sword
- Smart Strike

Greninja @ Focus Sash
Ability: Protean
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes
- Taunt
- Ice Beam

Kartana heavily benefits from hazard support due to it's very weak STABs making it have trouble to pick up an initial KO to start boosting and sweeping. This set is also good for taking care of Landorus, especially the defensive Rocky Helmet variety that easily wear down Kartana.

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon

Magnezone traps and eliminates pretty much any steel type bar heatran (which Z Kartana deals with) that would stop a Kartana from breaking down the opponents team. Zone also can synergize with gren too mainly due to the gren being a suicide lead for offense.

Levea, you should post a teammate for the Pokemon in the last post and not the OP, similar to Counter that Pokemon. Sorry if that wasn't clear!

Alakazam @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power Fire

Magnezone traps Mega Scizor, Celesteela, weakened Heatran, Jirachi, etc. for Mega Alakazam.

Tapu Lele:
[PokeCommunity.com] Post a teammate for the Pokemon above

-Psychic
-Psyshock
-Moonblast
-Hidden Power (Fire)
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
Item: Choice Specs

Lele provides Psychic Terrain, which powers up Alakazam's own Psychic and protects it from strong priority attacks.

Magnezone @ Electrium Z
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power Fire

Magnezone can switch into troublesome steel types once Lele is locked into a move they resist. It can then set up a Substitute or flat out KO them.
