-_- it seems to come up to me, that some (note the word some) moderators and "staff" feel the need to ignore other peoples opinions and just completely twist what a user has said. In my post I never went onto a rant about the staff, because yes I think the avarage of them are decent respectable people, who do there job well.
All I said is that the staff do the same as the "n00bs" when having a go at somone for wanting there post to get up, when Staff want that to.

P-o-s-t-c-o-u-n-t is what the thread is about.

Take others opinions in, don't just mock them.
I don't want to discuss this further.

Oh for god sakes guys, if you're going to have a discussion, have it maturely, and try to do it without "flaming" people. (Note: Flaming is in brackets because it isn't quite flaming, more like over-the-top rudeness, XD)

Anyways, yes, I know some staff are obsessed with post count, and it's easy to see just which ones as well. However, like I said earlier, everyone utilizes post count as they wish, if at all. I'm surprised the issue of post count brought so many other things up in this thread as well >>

Let me clarify that with a few minor fixes:

I'll respect your opinion by calling you what you want to be called, Benjamin. But I'd like you to try to see post count the way I do =/
 
So what you are trying to say is you like post-count do you.

Is this even worth arguing about? I find post count to be a negligible factor in my PC experience but even those who do certainly get a bit of a morale boost from it. The two sides are acting like post count is some sort of great benevolent/malevolent force that somehow holds the fate of the forums in its hands. The way in which post count does the most harm is right here, in these sort of topics, where people become so vitriolic about such a moot point. Post count is what you make it--to each his own. We've gone over this point and others many times other: post count isn't a barometer for popularity/mod eligibility, it might cause n00bs to spam, it might not cause n00bs to spam, it's good, it's evil; haven't we all heard this before?

Just everyone be glad to have it but be reminded and remind others not to abuse it. That's what it always boils down to.

Please, people, we have bigger fish to fry here. This is doing nothing but causing hurt feelings =/
 
Meh...I just find it that with the case in MFC people were more or less just spamming to get post counts up, that's why we had to turn it off. Now that post counts are off, people actually take the time to make a better post, somewhat at least, the only other place I've seen like that right now is OC, but that probably won't get anything turned off.
 
Kaga- What did you expect from me?! This is the kid who made "PC ~ A Broken Community" last year XD I'm incredibly detail oriented. Break down the problems into smaller parts. This is a smaller part of what could be a larger problem ^_~

Actually...this is me bringing up a topic that's been bugging me. Awhile ago I got flamed by members and staff about liking post count. I'm aiming to get our community more acceptive about people who *gasp* actually CARE abou their post count.

What I said wasn't directed at anyone, I just felt like swooping in and saying something neutral XD I don't remember the Broken Community work, but I bet it was good, because PC was SO BROKEN last year x_x I'm actually leaning toward your side of the argument :D
 
People like myself contiue to greet other members or "spam" Even though the post count are turned off in MFC.^-^It doesn't matter to us we just enjoy it.=3
 
I really don't like the idea of excluding posts from total post count. Especially in the Member Fanclubs. Before yous jump on me, any post that is valid and legal is a post.

Seems noobs would manipulate their post counters anywhere they could in exchange for spamming up the place.

Frankly, I just enjoy getting more post count ^0^ It's fun to see how high I can get. Unlike Toto and other high posting members, I don't post fast AT ALL. So, 4K's a big achievement for me. Finally got to it XD
