Post restrictions really suck!

    Yes, sorry to say it.

    I can't post images or links due to I have under 15 posts. This restriction just lets people make stupid posts so that they can post images.

    I know I am new to this community, but I can think of a 1000 creative posts if I could post images or links. But now I have to make posts which I don't even want. This sucks!

    It's to help prevent people from joining simply for the purpose of advertising.

    15 posts is not that many at all. I'm sure you can do it =/

    All of the people who make stupid posts have their posts deleted and then they no longer have fifteen posts and can't post images or links. :>

    ooooooooooooor, better yet, they're banned.
     
    I'm sorry, but if coming up with 15 quality posts just so you can post an image is too hard, then what are you still doing here? We don't need your whining if you're gonna let us have it.
     
    You don't need an image to have a quality post. I can get 15 posts easy in GPG right now if I wanted to. There's plenty of threads to post something with substance and you ain't even got to have a picture.
     
    A quick look through my post history told me that I made may last 15 posts over the course of 31 hours. It's not that hard to reach. just find a topic that interests you and made a well-thought out post on the subject. If there are people here that have done that over ten-thousand times, you can certainly do it fifteen times just to prove you're not a bot.
     
    You only have seven more posts to go. Just look around at all the threads in every section and post when you find something interesting that you actually want to post in. If you're in a hurry jump in a conversation in the Daily Chit Chat thread.

    I'm sure you'll be at 15 posts in no time.
     
    There's a lovely forum called Other Voting Polls that's absolutely perfect for newer members to reach the post limit to post links. It's not spamming at all and you're able to create a quality post without having to rely too much on effort. Most of the threads there are questions that come second nature to some to be able to answer.

    There are plenty of opportunities and threads within the community to get you to 15 posts without having to spam. You just have to find them!

    Anyways, 15 posts is absolutely nothing just to prove to us suspicious PCers that you are who you say you are, and not some mind blowing add bot....XD
     
    Pretty much what Vrai said.

    And I could make 15 in my sleep. It really isn't that hard.

    And I the rules there so people don't join and start advertising things, and get banned a few minutes later.
     
    I MADE 15 in my sleep. Try not thinking 15- try thinking over 1000. Then you'll know what's hard. Aiming for 10,000 anyday now.

    Anyway, 15 posts is a reasonable amount.
     
    Definitely it's not unreasonable. While I understand how annoying that restriction is, it's necessary to keep spambots who manage to fool the CAPTCHAs from being able to spam links in a thread.

    Look at it this way, if you are human, and your first 15 posts aren't spammy, pointless and stupid, then you're allowed to post images and links. If you're a spambot or someone bent on advertising a site, you'll probably be banned before you break 10 posts anyway.

    Not to mention, barefoot n00bies usually commit their first few rule breakages within their first 15 posts, this is a prime opportunity for moderators and other members to make sure you've read the rules of the forum so you can avoid embarrassing things like having your thread locked, or getting an infraction. :P
     
    Thank you for your answers! Yes, 15 posts are not hard to reach, my problem was that I nearly insert images in every post so it was a bit annoying for me :)$

    I made a delete request in Voting Polls. Can anyone delete my thread there please? :)

    Looks like I was late to the party, but I'll still toss in my 2 cents.

    Other Chat. In some of the threads there, almost anything short of blatant spam is allowed(this depends on the thread). So for post limited....stuff, there is good.
