(Combos and Tips (for my deck)!)

I use Kaiser Sea Horse to help summon Blue Eyes and the 2 Sphinxes (Theinen summons from the 2).

I hold a few good equips in my deck, and so Fairy of the Spring helps me take a destroyed one back fro mthe graveyard.

Paladin of White Dragon also helps me summon Blue Eyes.

Sonic Bird helps me summon Paladin of White Dragon.

The two Trap Holes (Bottomless and normal) make sure that my opponent has no monsters. Monster Reborn and Premature Burial (another equip!) make sure I have the necessary monsters.

My monsters that aren't in any specific combo have either an outstanding ATK of DEF, or a good effect.

My spells and traps that aren't in any specific combo have outstanding effects.

Shadow Spell, Swords of Revealing Light, and Spellbinding Circle keep my opponent distracted with a wall.

Light of Intervention allows me to see all face-down monsters, and as a plus, I have no Flip Effect monsters or any monsters that require to be face-down, so it doesn't effect me as much.

Gift of the Mystical Elf heals me 300 LP per monster, so I put it to good use with my high amount of Lv 1-4 monsters, and powerful 5-10 monsters.

And that's my deck. Rate it, or help me fix it. Out of all of the people I've dueled, I only lose to one. One out of 7. That's pretty good!

To Venusaur: Cool! Another insect deck! Here are my suggestions for you. You ahve some pretty mean instects, but you lack attack strength. put in some Neo Bugs just for some classic beatstick action. Metal Armored bug is nice, but with two of them you have a grand total of 6 monsters to sacrifice not counting the pinchhoppers. Take out a metal armored bug though and it shoudl even out. I also suggest taking out a leghul or two, since they usually don't last long without a gravity bind on teh feild. But due to your situation, a gravity bind would be the last thing you need. If you wnt to deal in life points, since you have the skull mark lady bug, deal in teh other end of teh spectrum. Put in some keisetai. Leaches your opponent's monster for some life points. A fiarly mean monster, since he keeps going and going until what he's attached to is destroyed or sacrificed. But you've got 2 DNa surgery, a very smart move. Prickle fairy Lock, I call it. Teh gaia power though don't really seem necessary. A meaner magic card would be flamberge Baou, which allows you're mosnter to attack like Ha Des. you have to discard a card from you're hadn to do it, but that's what the skull marks can be used for.

To Dsaerno: Unfortunately, your deck has a glaring weakness. YOur monsters are considerably weak, and you have so many tributes you're likely hood of drawing enough monsters to summon them all are narrow. You're deck depends on magics and traps, which can be taken care of fairly easily. MST, Magic jammer, magic drain, cursed seal of forbidden spell, seven tools of the bandit, and trap jammer are all cards that could stop that. Plus they ahve a new card out in SOD called Mobius the frost monarch that destroys two of the opponent's magic/traps cards as soon as he hits the field. Jinzo woudl also hamper half of your strategy of defense.

A Panic based deck, I call this. Builds on defending oneself until one can pull big bruisers. Problem is, bruisers can be dealt with swiftly. The cards you use to stop the opponent can easily be used by teh opponent as well. And with no negation cards to speak of, you'd be at the mercy of whatever your opponent pulls. I'm afraid you're deck needs some serious revamping. A guy in my neighborhood runs a deck very similar to this one and he loses to me all the time. I can't suggest a single card because teh basic strategy behind this deck is pity poor and easily defeated. You would have to rebuild your deck from scratch with a whole new strategy. Otherwise, there really isn't anything I can suggest.

Here is the more serious control deck I'm taking to Regionals:

Monsters: 16

1x Black Luster Soldier: Envoy of the Beginning
1x Jinzo
1x Breaker the Magical Warrior
3x Blade Knight
1x Tribe-Infecting Virus
3x DD Warrior Lady
3x Don Zaloog
1x Fiber Jar
1x Spirit Reaper
1x Sinister Serpent

Spells: 13

1x Pot of Greed
1x Change of Heart
1x Heavy Storm
1x Premature Burial
1x Snatch Steal
1x The Forceful Sentry
1x Confiscation
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Painful Choice
2x Creature Swap
2x Enemy Controller

Traps: 11

1x Ring of Destruction
1x Call of the Haunted
1x Torrential Tribute
2x Sakeretsu Armor
3x Dust Tornado
3x Drop Off

Total: 40 Cards

Sidedeck: 15

1x Dark Magician of Chaos
1x Mobius the Frost Monarch
1x Vampire Lord
1x Magical Scientist
1x Morphing Jar
1x Needle Worm
3x Kinetic Soldier
1x Royal Decree
1x Widespread Ruin
3x Hallowed Life Barrier
1x Nobleman of Crossout

Fusions: 3 of all the good stuff.

It's more control based, has less bad topdecks, and maindecks much more hand control. It usually wins without fail...except with maybe bad card draw occasionally, lol.

Thanx Pogi, I tried to cover a good base of hand control as well as field control. It's not too easy considering the lack of good hand control post-ban. Losing Yata and Dilenquent Duo hurt, but it made room for more field control. I can see the offense working fine, I just hope I have enough defense in it as well.

BTW: Sorry about a certain occurrence between us that doesn't need to be mentioned. I am less stressed out now and not overworked this week, lol. I consider you a very knowledgeable and capable duelist. :D

That's cool, cause I think we could really help each other with our different views and opinons.

My fusions are:

3x Thousand-Eyes Restrict
3x Dark Flare Knight
3x Sanwitch
3x Roaring Ocean Snake
3x Dark Balter The Terrible
3x Ryu-Senshi
3x Fiend Skull Dragon

22 in all. I use them when I put in Magical Scientist from the sidedeck. I don't like to use him in the maindeck because he usually isn't needed and is a bad topdeck. 1000 LP late-game can really hurt you...especially if you can't pay for it, lol.

lol it's kinda funny though. Sometimes my opponent's think I run scientist at first so if they go first, they set everything in order to counter me. Then I use Heavy Storm and Change of Heart, lol. :D

My deck consists of
3 Mystic Tomatoes
3 Shinihg angels
1 Black Luster Soilder-Envoy of the Beginning
1 Jinzo
1 Yata Garasu
1 D.D. Warrior Lady
2 Freed The Brave Wanders

yah all I can say for right now is replace the coffin seller and skull archfiend with book of moon and sinister serpent for now.

Really, How come?I can under stand sinnister serpent but why Book of the moon

book of moon can be a real life saver. It's quickplay, so you can use it when your opponent attacks. It's one of the few cards that will save you from an open Jinzo attack, lol.

Cool Idea and I just sorted my deck into spells, Monsters, and traps and I believe you will be pleased my new friends. I hope you like it

k, post it whenever your ready then.

I did it is on the sixth page of this discussion. I edited the post to your liking.

Ok....i say drop amplifier for Fiber Jar and reduce your # of angels and tomotoes to 2 each. how many cards will that make your deck? if less then 40 then let me know and i'll find replacements.

yeah, now that you mention it, I do too. I think it's pre-ban based on the # of banned cards it contains.
