Question: Postcount hike?

I don't know if this is affecting everyone, hence me starting this thread, but my postcount seems to have gone up by nearly 400 posts. I've made sure that it's not me going crazy-as sleep-posting and I would provide screenshots, but my laptop is being stupidly slow with uploading them.

I assume it's just something to do with the database now counting the posts made in the Trivia forums, but is just a problem with my account or is it more widespread?

There hasn't been any post count hike for me, even though I have quite a few posts in Pokemon Trivia and Other Trivia. So I don't think posts there are being counted.

The first thing that came to my mind was the Incredibly Wandering Thread, which might have been moved from a forum where posts are not added to the post count to the ones where posts are added, but 400 seems a bit too much. xD

I thought it was weird too. When I got on PC this morning, I was up by like, 50 posts or so. I'm not complaining or anything, but I just have no idea how I ended up with these extra posts. :/

I don't seem to have been hit as hard as you MCD. I think I had 3,400-something last night. I know I haven't posted in OT much with this account, so that might have explain why my postcount has been affected less than some others. :/

No, as Twilight Sky said, it was only due to the post recount. Other Trivia has nothing to do with it whatsoever. The post recount only affects the posts you might've been lost over time - either due to server stuffing up when you're posting, or other issues, not turn on post counts for forums that don't usually allow them.

Yeah, things are apparently just more accurate now. We noticed yesterday, some postcounts were down after the whole sticky thread fiasco so we recounted them and most people's postcounts went up. Some by a little, some by a lot (like Ryoutarou who gained 6k and passed me on the postcount list again >:|).

As far as we can tell, although the reasoning completely baffles me, this is how it's supposed to be.

It could also be that "The Incredibly Wandering Thread" took a hike around Other Trivia and back.
