In that case, I suppose that I care. I will give an example of what I meant: Posting a thread asking for others' opinions about the top 5 most powerful moves in both "Pokemon Gaming Central" and "Pokemon Anime" as seen on the forum's homepage.

In the case of your example, that'd be totally fine. The games and the anime differ quite dramatically so each topic is justified in its existence in both forums. A situation when I'd say it wouldn't be 100% appropriate for two threads of the same kind to exist would be if there were a "top 5 most powerful pokemon" in both Pokemon General and Pokemon Gaming Central.

These types of incidences would be dealt with on a case by case basis anyway, so no need to worry too much. :)
