3rd Gen Postponing the end of time

Okay so I hadn't played my GBA pokémon games since christmas 2013, and when I popped Emerald into my DSLite today it came up with the dread warning...my internal battery has run dry so time-based events (Which are the best bits in Emerald - Berries, Shoal Cave etc.) no longer occur.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get these repaired? If so, where in Britain (Specifically, the North West or Scotland), and how much does it cost?

There it explains what you can do to get it fixed with Fire Red, Leaf Green or Emerald. It might not work though, because I tried linking it a long time ago and it couldn't be transferred. Also, sad to say that Nintendo isn't fixing the cartridges anymore. =(

You also cant access Mirage island. Unless you're that lucky to have the exact number, which means you can access Mirage island anytime you want since the daily number won't reset anymore. But chances are slim.

Someone should confirm this but you probably have to replace the battery, just like in older games. There are plenty of youtube videos about it so check those out.
If I were you I wouldn't change anything unless you really want berries and other daily events stuff, although they are not essential for the game.
