If you

don't have Roselia/Roserade in your party, and haven't grinded a lot, you probably won't be able to defeat him. The other option is to take the loss, and then after teaching Earthquake to one of your mons(there's one that can definitely learn it) go to the sewers in SE Artemisia, read the city plan diagram, and then use earthquake.

So that's why you can click earthquake like its a hm move. Now i only have to find out how you can use thief outside of battle. In the end i beat him. I swallowed my pride, used the rare candies i had, changed the setting from set to switch and finally got somewhat lucky with the AI. Βut i have to say i totally forgot about sewer entrance, i think some more hinting about the connection of the sewer entrance and the event at the port would help to clear the confusion for anyone that cant beat Jade and has no idea what to do.

Hello, it is 1.9. Maybe you're on an older version? Have you merged version folders? That's not necessary, simply delete older versions of the game.
Also, does C1.9 not show up on the file selection screen?

gotta clean the toilet that guy was "using" in the Police Station, by interacting with it, then interacting with the basketball hoop, the barbell, and the drawer to the left of the gym. Finally, interact with the toilet again and you'll be able to...uh, "land" the stone.

Hello, it depends on where you are in the game. Specifically:

Spoiler:

If you haven't left the city yet, there's no way to get it. After leaving the city however, you'll be able to visit a certain place far away where you can heal Budew. In case you have missed any kind of interaction with Budew BEFORE leaving the city, you will still be able to find it, but this time after progressing through the main story and re-entering the city. In this case, Budew can be found in Southwestern Artemisia provided you have never met it before .
