I'm hoping to get a shiny Umbreon, and the rest of them I just like. xD
Used Typhlosion in Crystal, so he's coming back. xD
Although if you can trade with D/P/Pl early on (I doubt it,) I'm sending over a Shiny Swablu.
 
I can't make up my mind now. I love water types but I'm starting to fancy the grass ones too...I voted Chikorita but I honestly haven't decided. xD

Besides the starter I hope to have a bird pokemon, a ground pokemon, an electric pokemon, water/grass (depending which starter I get) pokemon, and the 6th I don't know.

Specific Pokemon? I really don't care. As long as it has the listed types above. ^_^

Although i'll probably just go with whatever I feel like adding to my team at the time, i've got a couple of team ideas that are based upon my previous Silver and Crystal playthroughs.

First ever Silver team:
Feraligatr
Pidgeot

Comments: This is a combination of my memory being blank from my first ever playthrough of Silver (in 2001) and that my team was really lacking lol. I remember that my Feraligatr was really overleveled and I was too dependent on it. Meanwhile, I had a Bellsprout for the longest time until I decided to level it up and evolve it into a Weepinbel, yet I never exposed it to a Leaf Stone. It may be worth trying to rework my old team for nostalgia and improve it in every way possible.

Crystal team:
Feraligatr
Pidgeot
Arcanine
Magneton
Espeon
Piloswine
Comments: This is probably my favourite 2nd gen playthrough team to date, and so I might decide to replicate this team in SoulSilver. However, one problem is that I believe that Growlithe will probably be a HeartGold exclusive like it was in the original Gold version. Houndoom could be a viable replacement if it is catchable earlier than the Kanto portion of the game.

Whatever happens, i'll most probably start with Totodile because it was my most used starter in Silver and Crystal. The rest of my team though is completely undecided lol.

Gengar-Gengar's a nice addition to any team ^_^

Arcanine-Arcanine's my favorite Pokemon

Poliwrath-Poliwrath is one of my all time favorites

Gyarados-I'm not going to be using the Red Gyarados on my team because I like to raise a Gyarados from a Magikarp...anyways who doesn't like Gyarados?

Dragonite-I'm a Dragonite fanboy...

I know it's not a very diverse team, but these are some of my favorite Pokemon, and this is just my in game team.

Typhlosion-Why wouldn't I put my fave pokemon on my team?
Lugia-You can probably guess which version I'm getting.
Scizor-Giving it a shot, if it sucks, then Espeon
Red Gyarados-Shinnnyyyyyyy!
Raikou and/or Ampharos-1 Masterball, down the drain.
Pidgeot-Underated, that's what it is!

And every once in a while, I'll take Scizor/Espeon out for an HM slave.
 
I have no idea about a full team (yet) but no doubt it will include both Feraligatr and Tyranitar for sure. My two favourites from back in the day..
 
Cyndaquil's my favorite, but I might choose Totodile. I bet Cyndaquil will look really cool following me around
