Preorders for Sun and Moon already open!

I'm not sure what one I'll preorder I kinda want both of em but I think I might get moon. I'm gonna decide in about a month what one to get

They're up on GAME now too, for any curious UK dwellers. £39.99 placeholder price. Like hell I'll be paying that. I expect they'll drop them down to £34.99 in due course, and Amazon will probably have them for £30-33 at some stage (although I will NOT be ordering from Amazon, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else does either!) as well. Still early days.

This is the first time I've honestly seen anyone recommend not to order from Amazon. If anything, I refuse to pay for things from Gamestop, EB, or GAME. I worked as upper management at a local store and I can tell you the policies are utter bull.

To stay on topic, I'll be grabbing myself Sun most likely! I've always been for the "darker" themed games, so this is going to be a nice change for once. The last time I bought an opposing theme was Ruby a long time ago...

Why not? I've been using Amazon for years and never once had any problems with them.

As for pre-ordering, I'll be waiting a month or so. One, in the hope that as more information about the games is revealed, it'll help me make my decision as to which one, and two, I can't afford to at the moment!

Some of my friends have already been sold though. I'll ask whose in my circle of friends are getting Sun so that I'll feel much better getting Moon.

I'm going to wait for the day of release to buy my version. From what I've seen so far, I think Moon will be the more popular game out of the two. It will probably follow the same path as many other games in the franchise (EG. FireRed being more popular over LeafGreen)

Why not? I've been using Amazon for years and never once had any problems with them.

Delays, damaged goods, carelessness, and generally piss-poor service? Since Amazon started delivering their own packages, things have just gone horribly wrong. I might have to pay slightly more with GAME or whoever else, but they use Royal Mail and I'm guaranteed release date delivery if I preorder. With Amazon I have no idea when I'll get the package or what state it'll be in, and they'll sign it off whether I'm in or not.

...that, plus I expect GAME will have special offers on and the prices will be the same. ORAS cost just as much at GAME as they did on Amazon and they came with these awesome little Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon statues! If they're going to cost the same amount anyway, why not get the cool little freebies? I'm waiting to see if anything like that will pop up before I preorder...unless I see them for £30 anywhere. Then I'll preorder instantly, because you just know the price will go back up again.

I'm pretty sure version exclusives will be what decide the version most will get. I recall White was more popular than Black, and X was more popular than Y (correct me if I'm wrong) and Omega Ruby was likely more popular than Alpha Sapphire (I blame the OP Primal Groudon), and version exclusives were mainly behind that.

Yeah, that's true. I wouldn't have gotten X if it wasn't for Mega Charizard X's design, though if I were to guess which one would be more popular my guess would be on Moon (Mega Cresselia pls)
