well, i dont know if almost all schools in the world are already heading for their vacations....but here in da philippines, we already started, and im still researching more bout my college school....

i just heard so far that, they have this "tradition" thing of splashing water to freshman colleges...but the good thing, your not going to be...like being splashed alone...you get to be splashed in groups....well, at least im not the only one shivering and wet....hehehe....

but damn...its 1 1/2 hours of travel from my home....my dad said i have to leave the hous at 5 coz school might start at 6:30 or something T_T....my eyebags are so dead....

I'm already in college...so yeah. It's a bit hard to get prepared for it now that college life has already began. But I do plan on transferring, hopefully within the next year and a half. So we'll see how that goes. I'll let you know when the time comes. But as for now, I'll just enjoy myself here and continue visiting my other college lifes. ^^

As far as I know, at the university I'll be going to in September, there are no weird things to initiate freshmen. That's probably because I'll pretty much only be hanging out with math/computer nerds like me and we're not creative enough to come up with pranks. :[

Blech at the travel time though. My school's going to be about an hour or an hour and a half away so I'm just going to be living there. :x

The college I went to this past year was over 3 hours away from my hometown. I lived there on campus though, so I was on my own for a year. I'm not positive whether I'll be returning to that college or not yet though. I'm trying to do what's best for my career, but I did really enjoy myself where I was. I have to look into some other oppurtunities this month, so I should know whether I'll be returning or not soon.

I'd also like to study abroad for a semester, and it would be great if I could get that lined up for the upcoming year or two. XD

I left high school last year and I start college to study Animal Care in September, but as far as I know (or hope) they don't do anything like that to Freshman. Also, I live just outside Glasgow, and my college is in Edinburgh, so I'm with you at getting up at 5am! So you need a friend who will also have no time to sleep, I'm your girl :P

Just try and enjoy it anyway :) Best years of your life and all that crap lol

All you need for going to university is a good work ethic and the will to take opportunity. By the way, pledging is overrated.

The college I initially went to was 9 hours away from my hometown...I had to live on campus and everything.

Because of circumstances (mostly to do with money, but influenced in part by this ungodly commute), I had to transfer out of there after two semesters. I'm currently not enrolled in school (I had to skip a semester to get more hours at work in order to save up more money), but in the fall, I will be in my second semester at a local community college...hopefully the last I'll need before tranferring to a good University...that is only like thirty minutes away...

Haha... I'm only getting into 8th grade, so I have nothing to worry about for now...

Well I am preparing myself intellectually. Hehe Calc at seventh grade. Well on one college near me I heard when you get in you go into the hallways and scream a certain race.

As for the whole initiations rumor, I wouldn't worry about it much. When I was a freshmen in high school I heard that the seniors would make you push pennies on the floor with your nose and all this crazy stuff. Turns out, it was a all school assembly where one person from every grade tried to push a penny across the gym the fastest. xP

Of course their might always be, but unless your staying in the dorms at a party school.. honestly, I doubt it.

I JUST got finished with my first semester of college. All I have to said is if your not use to homework it will be rough. I know I got a lot more overwhelmed, especially towards the end of the semester than I thought I would. ^___^; Good luck though!

Pokemaster: Are you planning on going into a career field where you can take advantage of your gift in math? Your still a long way from having to decide, but once you've gone as far as you can at your high school, I would check into what your local college can offer you. (even if you don't plan on going there after you graduate) Regardless if that's what you want to pursue, keep up the good work!

High school isn't all that great. It's just a bigger school and more people. Woopy.
