Wait so what is happening, are Porto just buying other clubs or at least all their players until their old clubs go down?
This was happening in the last 20 years, but only from 5 years ago, when some clubs that provided players and got alliances with Porto got bankrupted this temathic comes up to the news. Their strategy is simple: they bought those minor teams the best players and loan their reserve players. Also, those minor teams let them win the games.
Another tactic they use is buying the players another big teams want. Instead of going themselves searching for players, they wait to see in the news the players Benfica and Sporting want and then go for them. Managers too. (just this season, they bought James Rodriguez that Benfica wanted and Vilas Boas, the manager that was almost certain in Sporting)
The first strategy only was suposed to affected minor clubs that don't have even a chance to win the league, but since they make Boavista go to bankrupt this wait, I don't get admired if they do that to Sporting too, even Sporting is bigger than Boavista was.
Just look at this: Moutinho, the captain of Sporting, went this season to Porto. A reserve defender of Porto went to Sporting. In Sporting - Porto, if that defender plays, will he really play for Sporting? I don't think so. Also, another fact: the sports director of Sporting is an old glory of Porto. Some moves that he already did are so suspicious..
I don't support Sporting, but I would get sad if they got bankrupt. They are the third best club in Portugal, always a candidate to win the league, if they got despromoted, the interest in league will be even less.
