-- WWE recently issued a directive prohibiting the commentators from mentioning the names of the referees during television broadcasts.

-- A few comments made on commentary following the Evan Bourne vs. John Morrison match on last week's episode of ECW were edited out of the show's replay over the weekend (which airs on Universal HD on Saturday nights). Matt Striker used the term "match of the year candidate" with Josh Matthews calling it a "five-star match." Both terms were stricken from the replay.

Why? Why are you phohibited for doing such a thing?

Well, usin' terms like that is seriously overrating the match. One shouldn't take this seriously, though, since I didn't even see the match.

Did anyone watch it?
 
WWE is now going for the whole PG rated things.

Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker both have horrible knees. Undertaker didn't do much at WrestleMania due to his knees being so bad, he spent most of the weekend Icing them. Also, after his dive over the rope, he did the entire rest of the match on Fumes.

How does phohibiting announcer to call out referees' names? How does that do with PG?

Fumes? One would be consider crazy if he/she thinks that HBK/'Taker should continue to wrestle. They have reached their limit. :|

Just throwing it out. Vinnie K is quite nuts to, changing things randomly, so who knows. They are using less refs now then they used to, so they could be doing it to reuse as many as they can.

Of course. Such mature things said by the annoucers these days on TV.

Not anymore. They rotate them around now, so there's a handful of refs for all the series. Another money saving effort.
 
Any one seeing Smackdown? Its not that bad today, to be honest. Gail Kim lost, Undertaker lost. Ouch. Feel bad for Taker...

Are they that disperate to save money? The McMahons are the real money-takers, to be honest.
 
The economic concerns are the reason that the WWE have cut so many talent in the last few months. TNA has done some of the same, to to a lesser extent.

Roomer has it the last few PPV buy rates have been bad, and more releases are expected.

I know that, but why are the creative department so... bad? Most storylines nowaday are practically boring or lackluster. It's just a random feud out of now where.

Two words...one name...Vinnie K. He's the whole creative problem, and talent problem, and all of WWE's success and failure.

Backlash is...This Sunday April 26, 2009.

Because he is. 80 hour weeks from what some say, the one ex-writer says he's constantly on blow, he has basically total creative control over the storyline. Yup, he is a one man army.
