is it just me or is anyone else having a problem getting a maxed out stats on a pokemon? for example, i have been trying to get a farfetch'd with max attack, when its hatched its nature is adamant (ive also tried all the other attack boosting natures besides brave) and its always 6 points off, i know its not a big deal but i was just wondering if this was happening to any one else.

also i do know how to ev train, i have done it alot but its just on a few pokemon that dont end up right.

    thanks for reading.

simple answer IVs you don't have a 31 to have the "MAX Attack" you need 31 IVs 252 EVs and a beneficial nature.

i have done that though, farfetch'd is adamant and likes to trash about and properly ev trained with 252 ev's in attack but it dosnt come out with a attack of 251 like it should... this has also happened with a few other pokemon on my game.

Either the training was done wrong, or you're calculating its stats at too early a level (they only will definately all get accounted for at level 100 or in wifi battles where the level is boosted up there), or it's just a matter of you being unlucky. After all to have an IV of 31 and when they range from 0 to 31, it's a 1 in 32 chance only that it will have a 'perfect' attack IV, and you could be merely unlucky.

Also note that in regards to this:
when its hatched its nature is adamant (ive also tried all the other attack boosting natures besides brave) and its always 6 points off,
maybe a parent has an IV that is 6 points off and that is passed down in breeding?

Anyways, if you have any other qustions about this/HGSS, please ask them in the Help thread sticky at the top of the section. Thread closed
