That is possible. More than likely she specialises in triple battling/new move combos, as from what we know so far, that is the only new thing she could specialise in.

Right. Also, if she specialises in Battles, I can see her being the League Champion, and being one really hard to defeat since she'll know so much about battles.

Now the only thing to wonder is if she has more Pokemon than Chiramii.. and what they are. ^^; I can see her being one of those sweet types who becomes very serious during battle, a lot like Cynthia. Can't wait to see that in the anime if she does actually battle. >w<

Regarding the games, I really hope she isn't a second Red. Powerful is nice, but not too powerful. It was unique and a nice challenge, but I say Red should keep his title as the legendary in-game trainer. :3

Rose would be a far too simple name, but hey, still a plant xD

I like the idea of a female professor. Specially if she's charming as Araragi is.

Hmmm, Orchid. I like it :) The only thing is, it's a bit too predictable.
    I'm going to say Prof. Briar or Prof. Hadely;
BRIAR: English unisex name derived from the plant 'briar', from Old English brer, meaning "prickly bush."
HADELY: English surname transferred to unisex forename use, composed of the Old English elements hæð "heathland, heather, wasteland" and leah "clearing, field, meadow" hence "heather meadow."

    Or even Acacia, or Ayame
I like the ideas. With her hair, and her personality I'm sure her name will be vibrant.

OOh, Hadely sounds nice and American :) I hope they go for that.

And by the way, who said she has a Chiramii? Like, is it confirmed?

Apparently during the opening game when she introduces herself, a Chiramii comes out of her Pokeball, so I guess it can be safe to say that she does own one.

    This.

Except, they always bring out a common Pokémon in the opening with the game's Professor. For example, in HeartGold and SoulSilver, Prof. Oak sends out a Marill alongside him. This doesn't necessarily mean he owns one however.

And while I use this as a point to back up that Prof. Araragi may not even have a Chiramii (I actually think she does), I'm just saying it isn't totally confirmed that she has one. It's more so assumed really.

Araragi is the BEST pokemon professor of ALL timez

Anyone else agree with me? Of course this is based on what little Japanese I know - none whatsoever. Here are my reasons why:

    1) She's a woman.

    2) She's a MILF.

    3) She gives you your starter in a wrapped giftbox, instead of asking you to fish it out of a bag like Birch and Rowan. IMO this an even better option than standing around awkwardly and waiting for the new trainers to decide amongst themselves who would get which pokemon.

    4) She gives you your starter without asking stupid questions like "Do you want to have a pokemon?" and having you answer Yes or No. Or waiting for you to finally snap and decide that tall-grass suicide is better than being stuck in a small town for the rest of your life.

    5) She is the first pokemon professor -as far as I can remember - to be shown using a pokemon in a battle. Birch conveniently kept his pokeballs (containing all the pokemon he had) in a bag, and had to be rescued by the MC.

    6) She does not relegate the duty of handing you your first pokeballs to her aides. In other words, she does not ask her aides to do the dirty work for her. In fact, her aide (or is it student?) is in another town studying important stuff like the dream world.

6.5) She gives you the balls straight up, no strings attached. You can capture the first wild pokemon you encounter without having to make a journey to the next town first.

    7) She does not forget a briefcase and need her aide/the MC to carry it to her.

    8) She ensures trainer n00bs are fail-proof by personally teaching you how to catch pokemon and how to use a pokemon center.

... And that's why she's officially my favourite professor. Even though I have no idea what her personality is like, she is by far the most efficient professor, ever.

I agree with you completely. Especially with reason 2) MILF. LOL. But that is kinda true too. She is much better to look at than..... Professor Elm *shivers*

Guys, end the MILF discussion. Say whatever else you'd like about her but yeah stop getting off-topic by discussing what she's technically classified as.

OK lol that was fun though.

Can someone tell me if she is more involved with the story line or if she travels around Isshu like Oak does. And why are all the professors named after freaking trees!! I think the trend started after like 90% of the towns and cities are named after plants. New Bark, Cherry Grove, Lavender Town, Azalea Town, Violet City, Pacific Lodge Town (lodges are wooden) etc. QUIT WITH THE PLANTS NINTENDO!

I don't think she travels around Isshu because she's always in her lab when I visit Homebase. But I'm not very far in the main storyline so I don't know if she'll appear to the MC later on somewhere else. At least, we can confirm she has a Minezumi as a pokemon as it is outside of its pokeball, wandering around her lab.

Also, the first 3 professors' Japanese names are all named after flower/ small shrubs. Rowan is the only other professor whose Japanese name is a small tree/large shrub. Araragi seems to be following the new trend started by Rowan.

She has a Minezumi? Hmm... so not just a Chiramiillarmy? Interesting.

And, I dunno, I like how the professors' names somehow relate to plants (whether it be flowers, trees, shrubs, whatever), since it makes them unique, compared to other in-game characters (aside from the main ones, who are given boring names such as Gold, Silver, etc).

I like Araragi, since she gives nice items. FOR FREE. ;O

Oak could learn a few lessons from her.
